Hattie sory o hear about your news just to say that this happened to me in my first pregnancy and I had the same thing going for the blood test ect, when I had my results back my hormone level hadent gone up as much as they had liked it to however I had a healthy baby boy. Try not to worry I know its hard but generally they do it to be safe rather than sorry. I even passed out at the epu and that is even more of a sign of a eptopic pg but I was fine. Good luck xxxxx

LadyTophamHatt · 13/05/2006 16:15

oh Hattie, good luck for monday. I hope the weekend doesn't drag too much.

I'm getting all sorts of niggely pains in my stomach. I;m sure it's all to do with the uterus strecthing etc but it's really worrying me.
Ugghh...you'd think that by No4 I'd remember how early pregnancy felt

Hi can I join you please? :)

Found out I was pg 2 days ago (have had 4 BFPs now, so it's slowly sinking in!). Been trying 2 years and was on my 7th (and last) month on Clomid. This is us:

Me 38
DH 25 Wink
DD 14
DS 12 (both to my ex husband, DH has none of his own yet)

I think I'm due 15/1/07 but that may be put back around a week as I was late ovulating (didn't get a smiley face until CD20)

Not got any symptoms yet other than almost constant nausea which makes me wonder if I'm having more than one Wink

Loubie xx
4+5

LadyTophamHatt · 13/05/2006 16:28

loubie, I did 4 tests too, and although I've known for over a week now and my period hasn't appeared I'm still tempted to do another one!

it's madnessGrin

Congrats loubie and welcome!

Thanks for the good wishes - at least I'm not getting much time to sit and dwell on it with a loopy 3yo to chase round after :)

saltcod · 14/05/2006 05:45

Welcome Loubie..... from a fellow paranoid, multiple preg tester clomid baby carrier Grin

Me too LTH. Was feeling quite smug on Friday, no nausea and feeling fit and on top of the world.
Sat in front of the pc now scrolling up and down posts soooo slowly as if I go too fast it has a motion sickness effect on me.

LadyTophamHatt · 14/05/2006 08:57

forced some brekkie down me and feel a bit better now.

although now feeling miffed at ds3. I ran a bath for myself, came back down stairs for a minute and the little bugger pulled the plug out!
One bath with bubbles all gone.

Grrrr

Morning all, I've got my booking in appointment this morning, so I've done another test with the same sample I'm taking in just so I know I'm still pg...that's 6 BFPs I've got now Blush

I've not been sick as yet but feel it most of the time. I keep reminding myself how much I really wanted this though, so I'm trying hard not to complain! The only other symptoms I've got are I'm weeing for England (up twice in the night again!) and I keep getting hot flushes.

I'm going to ask for an early scan....just for peace of mind really. And if I am having twins, I want to know asap!

Loubie xx
5 weeks today :)

posyparker · 15/05/2006 09:49

hey Loubie
Good to have another "older" mum on this one, especially one with a younger DH. I'm 39 and DP is 29, I also have 2 kids with my ex-dh, and this one will be DP's first.

Let me know how you get on with getting an early scan, I've been told I can't even book in till 8 weeks. I think I'm due on 11 Jan, but with hindsight there may be some confusion with dates! I think my last "AF" may have just been spotting, which I now know is fairly common in early pg, especially around the time you'd normally have your first two or three missed AFs. Really, it couldn't be more confusing, could it? So I don't know whether I'm 5+4 or 9+4! I'm just starting to feel slightly sick, and have no bump to speak of (other than the one that I always have!), so I know its more likely to be 5+4, but I'd much rather be sure. Do you just ask for an early scan? Do they normally just let you have one if you ask?

Hope no-one on this thread is feeling too ghastly...

laughalot · 15/05/2006 10:07

Morning girls hope you are all fine im ok still no symptoms !!!!!!!!!!! Iv got my midwife appointment on thursday do you know if they will let you bring your scan date forward by a few days because I think my 12 week scan will be booked in for end of june but thats when im on my holidays ? Just want to wish hattie good luck for today hope all is well xxxxx

elliepippamummy · 15/05/2006 10:21

Hi Everyone

I am going to ask for an early scan to am 5+2 and booked to see midwife in 2 weeks but had missed miscarriage in Feb so would love some reassurance. if they won't do it on NHS have found a private clinic that will do early dating scan and growth scan for £50 (had this with my dd and it was very reassuring to see the heartbeat) Had some mild ache yesterday and phoned On Call Care who put my mind competley at rest and now feeling very positive.

Hope everyone feeling okay and good luck Hattie hope it all goes well at hospital today and wednesday xx

LadyTophamHatt · 15/05/2006 11:46

I'm pretty sure none of you will have an answer for this but who can I stop feeling so anxious?

I'm am absolutey petrified that something bad is going to happen with this pregnancy. Really really scared.
Yes, I was nervous about things when I was PG before but nothing like this. As soon as I open my eyes in themorning my mind is racing and I'm constantly feeling worried/paranoid/scared that ever little niggle is a bad sign.

I'm not quite 6 weeks yet...if I go on worrying like this I'll drive myself mad.

There isn't anything I can do though, is there?
Sad

Choccamocha · 15/05/2006 12:13

Personally I think as you get older you learn/hear and sadly sometimes experience more about possible complications etc. I am worrying again that I am an ancient old crone who really is pushing her luck by having no.6 when I will be 38.

I just keep telling myself to do all the right things with regard to looking after myself and hopefully all will be well. I'm tellimg myself that I get nothing good out of beating myself up worrying, so to stop it. Sometimes I do it out loud too lol.

skerriesmum · 15/05/2006 12:16

Laughalot you should be able to change your scan date, I know I did first time around... ring ASAP though.
Still no pg symptoms, had a great night's sleep for once so I'm ready for action, must unpack some more stuff and get off mumsnet!

magnolia1 · 15/05/2006 13:14

LTH.....At least I am not the only one then Sad This sounds really silly but I too feel like this just isn't going to happen and there will be no heartbeat when I go for my 12 week scan. Saw a heartbeat at 7 weeks (last week) but had more bleeding since then Sad. Dh thinks I am driving myself crazy and I agree but how do we stop??
I think I am even more worried because this is my 5th baby and I have always had good pg's so maybe it's my turn to not have it so easy and yes I know thats crazy.
I am not working so the time just goes sooooo slow. Not making you feel any better I know sorry hun xxxxx

Now all of you kick us two up the backside and tell us we are being silly Smile

indignatio · 15/05/2006 13:43

Afternoon
Any of you experienced ladies ever felt that your tummy was very tight (not cramp or spasm - too dramatic) in early preg - 6 pack - or whatever the female equivalent is - I most certainly haven't. I certainly don't remember this with ds. It goes go away If I stand, but sitting / sleeping curled up does lead to this tightness

becks5109 · 15/05/2006 14:42

Hello can i join this thread too please! Got a positive result last Friday (tested atonly 1 day late!) so am only 4 weeks and already obsessed with something going wrong - I already have a DD who will be 2 this weekend. It was our third month of trying so exactly the same amount of time as first pregnancy! I am due Jan 17th which seems an age away. Am going to phone the dr's next week for an appointment the following week and then is the long old wait for the 12 week scan!

My details are
1 DD aged 2 this weekend
I'm 33, married
OH is 40
Due 17th Jan.

laughalot · 15/05/2006 15:10

Lth I feel the same im really scared something is wrong because I dont feel pg at all I keep saying to people who have had more than one pg " Did you feel different carrying your children " I think its just natural that we all panic I keep worrying in case there is no heartbeat I need to stop worrying else ill make myself ill. I had a few cramps last night and was convinced I was having a mc. Sorry to all of you if you needed advice I feel exactly the same as you.

laughalot · 15/05/2006 15:13

Skerrismum we are due the same day Grin Grin

magnolia1 · 15/05/2006 15:36

I have found a private hospital in Fareham and they do a 6-11 week scan for £50. Am I stupid for conseidering it?? I am due to have my 12 week scan in 4 weeks but don't know if I can cope with 4 weeks of worrying Sad

LadyTophamHatt · 15/05/2006 16:49

Magnolia...."I think I am even more worried because this is my 5th baby and I have always had good pg's so maybe it's my turn to not have it so easy and yes I know thats crazy"

That is exactly how I feel (although Obviously it's #4 for me). It's like I feel my luck has run outSad

I think I might see if I can get an early scan, just to see the heart beat.

Dh is completely obvlivous to it...I told him how I was feeling and that I was terrified that I might miscarry and he said " well...how would you feel about that!!"
