Does anyone else feel worse on the weekends? Maybe it's all the week's subterfuge catching up with me, but I seem to feel more tired & emotional at the weekends even though I get much more sleep!

AmelieRose · 01/12/2012 15:28

I've vanished from the list! Was there earlier now I'm gone! Can someone add me again please as I'm on an iPad. Thanks! Wink

Thinkingof4 · 01/12/2012 15:30

Hi all
Just been trying to work out how many of us are having dc4? A few of us I think. ellie , arkady , twirlie plus me and maybe more? Quite hard to keep up, every time I look there are another 2 or 3 pages to read!

Someone upthread ( sorry I can't remember who and I'm on my phone Blush )was saying they were 9 weeks and symptoms settling? My symptoms are probably a bit less than they were, certainly nausea is improving so it might not be anything to worry about. Might be worth mentioning to midwife at booking? I'm 9+2 btw

Thinkingof4 · 01/12/2012 15:33

mizar yes I feel a bit worse at weekends because I'm less busy I think, and also long lie (well till 9am) so my stomach really needs food to settle my sickness by the time I eat breakfast

Guavasforbreakfast · 01/12/2012 15:40

There you go Amelie, my date somehow got changed back too, think someone might have missed a list somewhere along the way.

Also someone was asking which dc we are on - is it the done thing to put that on the list too? I'm a newbie so don't know the rules Grin

ArkadyRose · 01/12/2012 15:55

Thinking The placenta takes over production of the pregnancy hormones between 9-12 weeks, so a lot of symptoms start settling down around then. All being well, it's a sign that the little one is well rooted & the placenta is working as it should.

orangebubbles · 01/12/2012 16:23

perhaps I went back to far when brining the list over from the last thread, it was a good few pages back! Apol's if it was me that caused a few vanishings!

Guavas

Good idea, let's do it, something like this below? (Shows I'm pregnant with DC2 followed by by DC2's edd)

13/14hours sleep per day! I wish!

yikes glad you're stil running too. When it gets too much for my spine I'll swap it for swimming.

thinking agree with arkady could very well be placenta taking over at this stage.

dinkystinky · 01/12/2012 16:51

Orange - I go to the gym alot. Am still doing weights, kettlebells, bodycombat, boxing and pilates - though listening to my body and stopping if feels wrong/ too tired

Guavasforbreakfast · 01/12/2012 17:39

I seem to have been scrubbed too. Have added myself back on. Tree has been bought and decorated. Just stuffed myself with lasagne- now pretty much ready for bed! We have friends over so I can't escape just yet.

missmaybe · 01/12/2012 20:22

Gosh, new thread and I've missed so much chatter already! I hope you're all happy and well. I'm stunned/appalled/awed by your exercise plans... feel quite tired just thinking about it :)

I'm at 7 weeks 2 days now and exhausted most of the time and feeling basically fine but queasy. After my early scan, where I saw a heartbeat, the seriousness of it all really hit me and I had a couple of days really panicking about how I will cope as a single mum - but feeling much better now and just feeing lucky to have so much support from family and friends.

missmaybe · 01/12/2012 20:27

I've been reading through the old thread and also curious to know what posters there are up to now! xmasevebundle, is all going well with you?

missmaybe · 01/12/2012 20:27

Oops sorry meant to post that elsewhere...

Guavasforbreakfast · 01/12/2012 20:38

I second the amazement at the exercise... I have a feeling that with my levels of inactivity, as soon as the sickness tails off I'm going to become a whale very quickly.

Speaking of which, I now NEED some lasagne after reading at least two posts recently about it. Now where is DP when I need him... Grin

On second thoughts, he indulged my desire for homemade Cajun chicken sandwich filling (bakery near work uses raw egg in their mayo and it's my faveSad) a only to find the smell made me retch. Maybe he won't be so keen this time...

efme · 01/12/2012 21:00

missmaybe I know exactly what you mean about panic. I think I was in shock got about 2 weeks and couldn't really hold a conversation with anyone. Think im getting over it now but still have to work out how to move house and save some money before July!

Really good to hear from orangebubbles and arkady about the mysterious symptoms - never knew I would miss being sick so much. But after 2 days of feeling fine I now feel terrible again - is it the return of ms or just all the crap i've eaten today?!!

mizar I feel worse when i work .. And I work a lt of weekends! How do you keep it together at work? I just don't have the energy to be there and am counting the seconds til I can go back to bed

BoyMeetsWorld · 01/12/2012 21:22

Where did all the people booking privately for early scans get theirs done? & roughly how much does it £? I'm getting so paranoid things aren't right with this LO & I've got no real reason to think so -just a 'feeling' & no real symptoms except sore boobs & occasional tummy / nether region pains. Hope I'm just being paranoid but can't go another 6 weeks not knowing!

Guavasforbreakfast · 01/12/2012 21:59

Mine cost £95, they all cost around that in my area as far as I've researched.

orangebubbles · 01/12/2012 22:35

boy it's a really happy but emotional and anxious time, if you can afford it, money well spent in my opinion. Mine is £50 but exceptionally rare, the centre was recommended to me by several different people though (if you are near north Kent ill point you in the direction). £100 is the norm.

chocolateteabag · 01/12/2012 22:42

Hello all, have had to get my nursing bra's out of the cupboard until I can get to order some more.
I found I really need underwired nursing bras last time as the non wored gave me uncomfortable mono boob issues. So ordered the Anita one from this site they did free delivery and returns which meant not having to leave the house with a week old DS. I know there is loads of stuff about not wearing underwired bras while bf-ing but I found my boobs were so sore and big that I needed it. This one was (and is) super comfy)

chocolateteabag · 01/12/2012 22:49

Orange - I'm still managing to keep up with Zumba - but not sure when I should tell instructor I'm pg, plenty of older ladies in my class with bigger tums so can blend in for a while yet, but then again I imagine she may be a bit p-ed off if she guesses as it's her class (insurance?)
Also wandering along after walking the dog as much as possible and DS is a work out in himself - very into wrestling at the moment which is such fun!

BooStar · 01/12/2012 23:17

Hello new thread! That went quickly! Just marking my place & also as people are talking maternity bras, I can't recommend hotmilk bras enough. They are so comfy and really pretty. I've continued wearing them way after I finished nursing!!
