morning all,

Glad I'm not the only, hormonal, irrational raging one.

mari brilliant badge, I love it.

Welcome and congrat's newbies.

Lovely list keeping all Wink

cheeseandbread I had that with DD, in fact those pins and needles is how I knew for days I was diffed before I got a positive on a HPT. Not had it this time, just v sore and tender.

It's thick thick frost outside and still I am contemplating going for a wee run!!! Hope you all have a nice day

Runswithsquirrels · 01/12/2012 09:44

Hello all, I'm marking my place on the new thread. I don't often have much to say, but I've been lurking here.
I'm also a primary teacher and getting through the week is tough. I have management responsibilities too which means extra meetings after school etc. I'm staying awake only to collapse at home. I got annoyed with my OH yesterday because he wasn't psychic enough to know I would be starving when I got in from work and provide some food! Had an exhausted melt down!
I think today will be spent negotating central London in search of maternity bras as nowhere close by does them in my already generous size!
I hope everyone has a nice and restful weekend.

Runswithsquirrels · 01/12/2012 09:50

BoyMeetsWorld · 01/12/2012 10:02

Huzzah, found you & added self to list. Still only 6 weeks with a few 'issues' here so hoping I'll be around to stay but not sure until scan (which my local service seems in no hurry to schedule. Am debating private scan).

Have most people been given 8 week scans? I've been told cant have one until 12 weeks....

Beginningofthejourney · 01/12/2012 10:19

I only had an 8 weeks scan due to this being an IVF baby, have now been discharged essentially from my clinic so back to NHS care so will have 12 weeks scan :-)

Runswithsquirrels · 01/12/2012 10:20

I get my scan at 13+1.

paolocee · 01/12/2012 10:24

We had a scan at 7 weeks due to being IVF-ers.

BoyMeetsWorld · 01/12/2012 10:40

Ahh maybe 12 weeks is the norm then - such a long nerve wracking wait!!

Guavasforbreakfast · 01/12/2012 10:45

I don't actually know my NHS scan date yet but expecting it to be well after Xmas. Only reason I'm having an early one in 2 weeks is I'm paranoid enough to fork out for a private one!

McKTastic · 01/12/2012 11:04

Just remarking my place. Hello everyone Smile Still lurking! Will add to list once we're further on - only 5+5 here.

orangebubbles · 01/12/2012 11:48

Boy aside from IVF, early scans generally only given if history of mc or bleeding etc. Most of us are paying for it and have booked early. I had a 6, 8 and 10 wk scan with DD as prior to that history of mc, but this time it'll only be 12 weeks and I need some peace of mind before christmas so have stumped up the cash and I really think it's worth it to stop me going mental!

Just had a nice 3k buggy run (run with DD all snug in her buggy while I put the hard work in). Are you all keeping up the exercise? I have no intention of gaining weight like I did with DD and will keep running and spinning as long as I can.

oooh just realised 7+0 today, and symptoms still strong so yipppeeee!

Bessie123 · 01/12/2012 12:10

Hello all - I found the new thread. I've been bleeding again so have been keeping away but it's stopped again now so I think the bubba is probably ok...

I was so sorry to see some of us had to leave the thread, what sad news.

I am another one with rage. I am always exta irritable when I'm pregnant. I got so cross with a guy from work last night, who sent me a very rude, unprofessional email and copied various people in. Although, to be fair, he is a jumped up little prick and I would probably have been annoyed with him even if I weren't up the duff...

runswithsquirrels I had to get all my mat bras from John Lewis last time - they are massive and ugly and not supportive enough because no underwriting. Not so helpful...

efme · 01/12/2012 12:16

Hello everyone, sorry for barging in - Was on the other thread but then had to deal with a bit of a family crisis which took over everything - last thing you need when you're feeling sick and angry!

Just wanted to know how everyone else is feeling? I'm 9 wks tomorrow and symptoms have disappeared - no ms, no weird taste in the mouth. No bleeding either but am worried. Is this the placenta taking over or is there something wrong? Anyone else in a similar position?

Please can someone add me to the list for 25 July. Am on iPad. Ta!
orange - I'm still doing 4-5k runs regularly. Checked with doc yesterday whether she thought that was sensible and she said go for it. I agree with you about not wanting to put on too much weight.
Off to drink fake wine Blush at a pal's house tonight. Lol

paolocee · 01/12/2012 13:19

Oi, who scrubbed us from the list? We were there on July 17th and now we're gone. I wonder if can muster up some fake rage....

paolocee · 01/12/2012 13:27

Thanks Schro. Did that sparkling water do the trick? It's not quite the same but....

SchroSawMummyRidingSantaClaus · 01/12/2012 13:34

I don't know yet. Wink Going off to buy my cordial today. I am really craving lingonberry soda but it's extremely hard to get here. :(

How is your DW now? Also, how are you?

paolocee · 01/12/2012 13:52

She is sleeping around 13-14 hours a day and eating prodigious amounts of food. She's always eaten very, very healthily, so to see her guzzling cheese and gulping down plates of lasagne and chips is really very funny. She's otherwise excited and daunted.

I'm pretty much the same (including the eating prodigiously but that's par for the course for me). Just trying to figure out just how much more work I'm going to have to do if it all goes to plan. I think the answer will be in the region of "a f* of a lot more"....

SchroSawMummyRidingSantaClaus · 01/12/2012 13:59

Oh dear, I know that feeling! I need a lot of help with DS just now as I am just so knackered. I could sleep forever. Eating loads of crap as well. When I found out I was pg, I was on a 500 cal a day diet, now all I am eating is cheese and bread. Hmm

And yes, it will be a lot more work. Being pg with one is horribly tiring, I can't imagine with 2!

paolocee · 01/12/2012 14:31

Ha, not just more work with having to deal with twins but taking on more work to pay for them.....
