I really would like to do the aquanatal classes too. I was doing water aerobic classes with a friend but haven't done it in weeks as I'm either too tired or feeling horrible. Keep making excuses to my friend too! I think I might tell her when I see her next as I hate making excuses. I know there is a aquanatal class during the day but afraid it would wipe me out for the rest of the day/week! I did yoga with ds2 and really want to do that again. Not sure where to look for classes as we just moved recently.

mygirllolipop · 05/04/2006 14:26

They did aquanatal not far from me with DD3 but moved since then plus unless it was in the evening I've no-one to look after the kids. Then it would wipe me out, having to squeeze in cooking etc then the class. I have bought a pilates in pg DVD. I'm not going to start til I'm 13wks tho cos I've heard you shouldn't do yoga until then.

fatbetty · 05/04/2006 14:33

There is something about exercising in water that just makes me tired thinking about it.

Since my ms has kicked in my belly size has decreased and I don't think I'm showing that much anymore. Clothes are fitting a bit better. Still desparate to go shopping and by something but hard to justify doing that when I won't be able to wear it too much longer.

kjq · 05/04/2006 17:28

Hi Ladies

Can I join in on this thread?

I'm due on the 12th Novemeber.
I have 2 DDs. DD1 is 3 1/2 and DD2 is 2 1/2.

Have been feeling really tired of late but no morning sickness thank god.

Hope you are all well today!!

brodiesmummy · 05/04/2006 18:58

Welcome kjq, you'll certainly have your hands full.My bump seems to be growing by the day.Haven't told parents yet as was hoping to surprise them with the scan photos when we all go on holiday together in a couple of weeks.Being a larger girl they might just think I'm a bit "lardy"GrinSaid I had no MS but last 3 days have felt crappy.Ah well something else to moan about!!

Jen1209 · 05/04/2006 19:35

Hi all, just popping in for a quick hello!

Sorry to hear your news Harrogate mum, hope all goes ok for your scan tomorrow. Thinking of you.

AFH - your poor DD = I'm afraid I don't know anything about the illness but I hope she feels better soon.

Hope everyone else is ok. I'm still really bloated, much worse in the evenings, but not to sicky in the mornings. The twins (staying with BF for week) are making up for this as they both have real reflux probs and are very sicky!! I have been through 3 t shirts today and currently am sporting one of her DH's t's! Ah, well, suppose it gives me some needed practise. I can change cloth nappies too and everything!!! :o

Will try and catch up properly soon. Take care all
J x

can you tell me how i add my stats please

NatalieJane · 06/04/2006 08:45

Morning everyone :)

Hope everything goes well today Harrogatemum xxx

And I hope everyone is feeling OK?

We are going down south tomorrow to tell my mum about the baby, I am sooooo excited!!!

My MS seems to be slowly getting better, but being replaced with awful heartburn, I do suffer with heartburn and normally when I eat something it goes but at the moment it feels like someone is scraping my throat with a hot blade, I am not one for taking tablets but I think I might pick something up in the chemists this morning for it.

Anyway, must go and get DS to nursery.

See you all later (good luck again Harrogatemum) TC xxx

fatbetty · 06/04/2006 08:51

Morning All! Good luck telling your family your good news! Let us know how it goes!!!

Went to ds1 football class yesterday and one of the other mum's was there chatting about her pg (she's 14 wks) and we kind of bonded! She lives near me and it was nice to be able to ask loads of questions as she had her ds2 in the area. It's too bad that we only see each other once a week for football.

Just wondering if any of you are joining groups - like NCT or what your experience has been with them? I thought about joining as I don't know too many people around here. Do other mums join who have more than one child?

mygirllolipop · 06/04/2006 09:05

Harogate mum - thinking of you today.
kjq - congrats and welcome. To add your stats, click over them in mower's post and drag the mouse to the end of them. The go to edit and copy. Then when typing your post in the box go to edit and paste then add yours in abov emine I believe!
Mower - how are you getting on re stopping BF I'm not getting on too well. Hv was useless too. Just suggested giving lots of dif types of cups with full fat milk in. If I could get her down to breakfast and supper I'll be happy!

awayfromhome · 06/04/2006 09:33

Morning everyone -

Harrogatemum - hope your scan goes well today, thinking of you xx

I have just been to my doctor for a scan, saw little arms and legs forming - well I had them pointed out to me :)

I asked my doctor about the virus my dd has and he said "dont catch it" - not the most helpful response.. He said that it usually doesn't cause complications but can result in a miscarriage Sad.. so I just have to wait and hope that I don't catch it - everything is crossed.

Esmummy · 06/04/2006 09:49

Good luck Harrogate mum x Thinking of you.

AFH - great, bet it was lovely seeing that, alsways so reassuring having the first scan isn't it :) Can't wait for mine.

Northerner · 06/04/2006 10:10

Thinking of you today Harrogatemum. xx.

awayfromhome · 06/04/2006 10:25

Esmummy - It is very reassuring to see that everything is okay in the scan :) One of the bonuses of being pregnant in Hong Kong is that they scan you every two weeks from the first pregnancy appointment, unless you request otherwise. Something I am definitely going to miss when I return to the UK in 6 weeks time.

Esmummy · 06/04/2006 10:48

Oh wow AFW that is amazing. How badly do i wish i was in Hong Kong ?
As this is baby number 2 i will get seen even less than i did with DD, think i only get about 6-8 midwife appointments but i am lucky to still get the 2 scans.
Are you able to reschedule scans ? DP is going away in May and i will be approx. 14-15 weeks so if my scan date comes through for while he is away i wanted to see if i could change it but equally don't want to wait too long for it.

awayfromhome · 06/04/2006 10:55

Esmummy - I had my dd in London, they were very flexible with changing scan dates provided you gave them enough notice..

Having said that there are loads of Brits here and I find it quite amazing the differences in scanning in different UK counties.. I had one friend telling me that they didn't have the nuchal fold as standard where she lived and they had to pay for it - I rather naively assumed that there would be standard policy across the UK!!

kjq · 06/04/2006 11:57

Just added my stats - thanks MGL
All the best to harrogatemum!

NatalieJane · 06/04/2006 12:28

Thanks Betty I will let you know how it goes on Monday :)

Is anyone else waiting before they go to the doctors? I will be 7 weeks on Saturday and I don't want to go yet! Think I might leave it another couple of weeks.

Esmummy · 06/04/2006 12:38

I was going to wait NJ - i found out last thursday when i was 6+4 so when i called the doctor i initially made my appointment for Monday 10th so i would've been 8+1 but it got the better of my so i called and brought my appt forward - had my booking in on Monday. figured may aswell get that bit over and done with at least then i am booked in with a midwife and with not being 100% on my dates would rather get my scan sooner rather than later so i can get my dates sorted

NatalieJane · 06/04/2006 12:43

I am as sure about my dates as I can be, and although obviously I do want a scan to make sure everything is as it should be, I am really in no hurry to start worrying about appointments and everything.

Different subject but do we have any fake tan experts about? I don't really do fake tans but I saw that Johnsons holiday skin stuff today and fancied a go, I have got the body one and the face one, but not sure if I should test a bit or just slap it on. I am quite pale but tan easily, if that makes any difference?! I don't want to end up orange or streaky!
