I've been eating more often and making sure that something is in my stomach and I seem to be doing better. Also bought some B6 supplements and ginger root but can't face the ginger root. Still don't feel 100% but it's better. Just out of question too, I've been having lots of diarrhea (I know it's early to mention!) but is anybody else having this?

Tinasan · 04/04/2006 09:54

Hi HopingCat,

I'm due 31 October and received my scan date a few weeks ago. Haven't been booked in yet though - last week I received a letter from the midwife team to say that I would receive my first appointment letter some time in the next four weeks - so I guess this will be after the scan,

HC I have an appointment for MW on 23rd and Scan next weds but I'm booked in early due to hypothyroidism.
As for clothes I have a Jan baby, a June baby then an April baby. TBH I didn't notice much difference in baby clothes other than hats, it was the hand me down a bit later that were out of season!

brodiesmummy · 04/04/2006 11:39

My scan is booked for 18th April when I'll be around 11+3 wks.Bit anxious as mainly feeling fine. Had 3 scans before 11 wks with DS which was v reassuring.Really can't wait for scan to make sure all is OK. Not planning on telling parents till after then as had a few scares early on with last pregnancy.Hope all with MS starting to feel a bit better, It's weird I kind of wish I felt a bit worse cos it reassures you things seem OK.

fatbetty · 04/04/2006 11:46

I'll gladly give you some of my ms!! I felt fine until 6 weeks and then it kicked in. Bring on second trimester!!

Northerner · 04/04/2006 12:04

Do you know where I live you don't get a scan till 18 - 20 weeks. That's really late isn't it?

twocatsonthebed · 04/04/2006 12:16

Hello everyone,

Hoping Cat - don't know where you are, as this seems to affect things hugely, but I only got a booking in appointment by ringing up the midwives directly (I also only got my early scan by ringing up the hospital midwives directly, so am starting to think that they're the people who get things done round here!)

fatbetty - no am completely the other way round, and scoffing figs and prunes like they're going out of fashion! And horrible wind too ...

harrogatemum - sorry to hear your news, will be thinking of you. Hope you can take lots of time off and talk to people - at least that's what helped me.

tc x

brodiesmummy · 04/04/2006 13:24

My friend stays in Edinburgh and they only get a 12 wk scan and no 20 wk scan. It's a joke everybody should be offered the same rather than depending on where you live

fatbetty · 04/04/2006 17:49

Agree with you brodiesmummy!

I feel like I'm completely house bound as I have no energy and starting to go stir crazy. I haven't been outside for days and my children are so bored with me and watching tv. I feel so bad but have no energy to get myself motivated. Anybody else feeling this way? Trying to attempt cooking dinner tonight and that has made me feel very ill.

NatalieJane · 04/04/2006 18:20

FB I felt like that last week, have felt lots better this week though, even started trying to sort DS's bedroom out today (not the easy task it looked!!)

Try not to wallow in it, I know it is hard, but once you are up doing something you do feel better.

Chin up hun :)

ShouldKnowByFriday · 04/04/2006 21:23

Spoke to Jen on Clomid thread and just wondering how she is doing? Hope all is well.

mygirllolipop · 05/04/2006 09:41

Morning,
hope everyone is well today. I'll not be on much today as walking everywhere plus I've been guttering our bedroom and moving chest of drawers into kids bedroom so need to finish that job off before mam comes to stay with us.

awayfromhome · 05/04/2006 09:54

Not having the best day over here - my dd has just been dianosed with Hand mouth and foot - something I had never heard of until today. Her doctor says that there is no risk to pregnant women, but of course I have been on the net and found conflicting information Sad. I am going to see my doctor for a scan tomorrow so I will raise it with him then, so I only have another 24 hours to worry myself stupid...

NatalieJane · 05/04/2006 09:58

AFH, your poor daughter :(, I am sure the doctor would have told you if you were at any risk, so try not to worry too much, the internet can be more trouble than it is worth at times!

Let us know how the scan goes, and I hope your daughter will feel better soon.

Thinking of you xxx

fatbetty · 05/04/2006 10:02

I have heard of Hand, foot and mouth before but can't remember what it is actually. Try not to worry about it as I'm sure you'll be fine. Just try to keep yourself busy in the meantime.

Feeling a bit better today. It's such nice day today that I'm determined to get out of the house and take the kids out. Got my preggie pops and my aromatherapy ms oil yesterday. HAven't tried the preggie pops yet but the oil seems to work with me. And I'm eating more often so that seems to help.

awayfromhome · 05/04/2006 10:10

Hand foot and mouth is a virus, similar to chicken pox according to the doctor. Very common in children, and extremely common here - it loves the humid warm conditions... What is even worse is that my dd has also come into contact with two pregnant friends both in the first trimester... so feeling panicky and very guilty.

But I do agree about the internet - sometimes too much knowledge is not a good thing...

NatalieJane · 05/04/2006 10:14

I really think the doctor would have told you if you (or your friends) would be at risk, please try not to worry, I know easier said than done, but it won't do any of you any good.

Take it easy :)

awayfromhome · 05/04/2006 10:21

NJ - I know you are right :) just finding it difficult not to panic at the moment... hopefully when I see my doctor tomorrow he will put my mind at rest..

fatbetty · 05/04/2006 10:41

I thought it was something chicken pox. My ds1 had something like that when I was pg with ds2. The doc said it was chicken pox, but I doubt it was and put it down to hand, foot and mouth. You can tell my pg brain has kicked in as I forgot about that! You'll be fine.

NatalieJane · 05/04/2006 11:06

There was a thread about hand foot and mouth not so long ago, maybe about a month ago, might be worth you searching it out (have no idea how to do that but I would guess it was on the health board)

Northerner · 05/04/2006 12:59

I had this as a kid, it's harmless really. Looks worse then it is IMO.

How is everyone feeling today? Apart from sore boobs I have no sypmtoms whatsoever. No sickness, I'm not showing.

I wish something would happen, you start to worry otherwise IYSWIM!

NatalieJane · 05/04/2006 13:04

Hi Northerner, :)

I still feel sick in the morning and then just as that is fading I am hit by a wall of tiredness, but have been doing DS's room up a bit the last couple of days and have felt much better for having something to do! Boobs are still a bit sore but not as bad as they were, and my belly is getting that big now it is starting to get in the way of things! Still can't get over how big it is considering I am only 6.5 don't think I dare imagine how big I am going to get if I carry on at this rate!

Esmummy · 05/04/2006 13:17

Hiya,

I have no symptoms really either. I felt a bit queezy before bed last night and when i woke up this morning but not a patch on last time. Can't get over how sore my boobs were last time and they are just normal this time, no tenderness at all. Had a nice long soak in the tub last night and notice my tummy is definitely growing slighty, more from the top under my boobs. Scary considering i've got a wedding dress to fit into soon EEEKKKK

mygirllolipop · 05/04/2006 14:03

AFH - my DD1 had this possibly when I was pg with DD2 but DDs are fine now.
Betty - let us know how you get on with the pregie pops.
I can't win either. If I'm feeling sick I complain about that, if I'm not then I worry about why not IYSWIM! I'm not showing yet, I can still fit into all the normal stuff but I really don't think it will be long!

Esmummy · 05/04/2006 14:15
