mygirllolipop · 10/05/2006 09:14

I'm glad to say that I am suffering less and less with MS and tiredness altho motivation still isn't up to sratch.
Another GymBabes session for DD3 today, joy!

sighkotika · 10/05/2006 10:09

lol i agree with the morning sickness not being called morning sickness.my DP laughed out loud when i said it should be called 'any time it bloody well feels like' sickness. unfortunately, i have suffered from all kinds of motion sickness since i was a baby, and i know things like travel bands do nothing for me, and travel pills just make me feel worse, so it looks like i'm just going to have to suffer through it :(

anyway, scan tomorrow, and i am very very nervous :( not sure why, but i am.

NatalieJane · 10/05/2006 11:17

Morning everyone :)

What a lovely day, the sun is shining, I have my packet of Jaffa Cakes next to me, and Adams is doing a buy one get one half price on vests and sleepsuits, has made my day!!! :o

No give up on the ms for me, still have not been sick (thankfully) and I'm not feeling sick all of the time anymore, but when a wave passes over me it is more intense than it was.

Anyway, hope you all have a lovely day. TC xxx

MeAndMyBoy · 10/05/2006 11:18

Jen fab news glad all is well.

NJ LOL at Ds booking porn so early.

sighkotika - fingers crossed for tomorrow, I remember feeling nervous my scan with DS - wasn't sure they'd find anything and I'd have imagined it all. Was anxious this time too.

Well ladies 5 weeks and I'm half way!!! how on earth did that happen?
Yes we have sunshine here too, hope everyone else does too.

H x

calsworld · 10/05/2006 13:49

OMG Me and my boy - that's incredible! With me being put back a week I'm a whole month behind you so only a quarter of the way there at the moment - I'm so jealous!!

Why oh why is time going so slowly?

I have the luxury of working from home again today so am enjoying the sunshine and listening to the birds in my garden, whilst sitting in lounge (ahem) 'working' with my feet up and the patio doors open...beautiful!

I went to see the midwife today as worried about a few bits and she was really lovely - made me cry all the way through but think that was really helpful as feeling much better now! She totally put my mind at ease about my AD's, MS and lots of other little niggles. So relieved that she was nice too - the last one I saw was really grumpy!

Oh, feel so happy and relaxed now that I want to sing - but that would scare all the birds away....

Ho hum...love to all and hope its good and sunny for you all too!

joules1234 · 10/05/2006 14:09

Hi all, hope your all enjoying this gorgeous sunshine Smile

Me and dp went for scan yesterday. It was fab, came home with 3 pictures of junior! Grin All is real now! New due date is 17th Nov, so 3 days earlier.

Good Luck for your scan Jen, I`m sure you will be fine! Smile

No more MS for me, I`m back onto normal meals, if dairy lea sandwiches are classed as normal???? Grin

fatbetty · 10/05/2006 15:13

Calsworld, it's so great when the sun finally is out! I even managed to get outside and paint two bookcases!! Feeling very proud of myself at the moment. Even got a little bit of colour! Grin

Have scan tomorrow morning and getting very excited about it!

calsworld · 10/05/2006 16:29

FB, that's cool - are you excited? I know from stats this is your third so does that make it better? I think I would have enjoyed the scan a bit more if I hadn't been so worried, but possibly no matter how many scans - always going to be a bit nervous?

Can I be proud that I've managed to read all my work emails, reply to most of them and still keep up with MN whilst sitting in my lounge? Hmmm....not as rewarding as painting me thinks....

Are you a SAHM?

Jen1209 · 10/05/2006 17:18

Hi all, quick catch up as back at work today

Good Luc FB for scan tomorrow - sounds like you have had a v productive day!

Have broken the news here today and am being spoilt rotten :o wore one of my mat dresses to show my bump off :o can't stop smiling now...

Ms seems to be going

Jen1209 · 10/05/2006 17:26

Sorry, abrupt end to the last msg as boss was approaching!

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine - I am gazing at it out of the office window :(

spinach · 10/05/2006 19:37

hi all. i had a large bleed this morning, terrified me. went to the hospital for an exam and scan, baby is fine, but i have a low lying placenta. Have been told to take things easy until the 20 week scan. Have been told i can expect to bleed on and off and hopefully the placenta will move up as the womb grows. Its just more unwanted worry, can't believe how complicated this pregnancy has been compared to last. Still have horrid ms, thought it was tailing off but, no!

OP posts:
NatalieJane · 10/05/2006 19:42

Sorry Spinach, you make sure you do take it easy. I know how easy it is to get carried away when you have youngsters about.

Fingers crossed the pregnancy gets easier for you as time goes by. TC xxx

amyjade · 10/05/2006 19:42

Anyone going abroad for a holiday during this pregnancy?

We are off to spain in 3 weeks (first holiday since we lost our daughter Freya so i'm a bit scared) does anyone know if i have to get special travel insurance because i'm pregnant?

NatalieJane · 10/05/2006 19:44

I don't think we are going to go this year but as far as I am aware you don't need special insurance but obviously you would need to declare it on your application forms. Might be worth just double checking though.

Where are you off to?

NatalieJane · 10/05/2006 19:45

Sorry, preganancy brain!!! Where abouts in Spain are you going?

laughalot · 10/05/2006 19:49

Sorry to crash the thread nat im about if you want to chat

amyjade · 10/05/2006 19:50

A small town called Guadamar half an hour from Alicante, my friends mum owns an apartment there.

It will be nice to have a break and it will also be Dd2's(11 months) first holiday abroad but it will be extremely hard without Freya as everything is.

Hope the morning sickness will have gone by then and i might even have a small bump!!:) Not sure how i'm supposed to sunbath lying on my front though?

NatalieJane · 10/05/2006 20:02

It sounds lovely AmyJade. Maybe you could do something to celebrate Freya? Maybe just have a day where you can all remember her, and then, as much as you can, get on with the holiday and enjoying yourselves?

Sorry, I don't really know what else to say!

As for lying on your front, at the moment it is the only place I can lye comfortably, and my bump is huge!!! I don't think there can be any harm done by lying on your front.

fatbetty · 10/05/2006 20:43

When I was pg with ds1 on holiday I would lay on my front but used a towel or something to raise up one side of me to make a bit more room. Have a fabulous time on holiday amyjade. We are off to France in June and then off to Japan in August - and that's it - no more travelling after that!! And inbetween trips I have to potty train my ds1 for the second time and it's way overdue!!

Calsworld, I am a SAHM. I am a bit nervous about scan tomorrow. I'm a born worryer.

Tonight I went to a Parent's Information night for my ds1 nursery (he'll start in September). Just wondering for those of you who have kids in nursery how many teachers they have in their class. His class has 2 teachers for 20 kids - and aides and parent helper come in occasionally, but that seems like a lot of kids for 2 teachers to watch.

fatbetty · 10/05/2006 20:44

Amyjade, I think you just need to let your insurance agents know that you are pg. That's what we have done in the past.

saralou100 · 10/05/2006 21:52

hi everyone... glad to see nearly all have been enjoying this weather, i have been staring out of the window at beutiful views of a harbour and lots of boats dotted out in the water and people flying around on things, with the sun shimmerig off the water wishing i was out their, whilst stuck at work wearing an uncomfortable uniform and sweating!!!! 3 days off now, so i'm sure the sun will go in but i'm gonna try and enjoy them!!!

ms not too bad now, i've found that the best way too avoid it is too eat constantly Blush someone commented on my tummy asking if that was a bump starting to grow, had to say unfortunately not just eating too much!!

fatbetty - how old is ds?that seems like a lot of kids.. ds's nursrey is governed by ofsted who have a legal limit of carers to children, have a look on the net to see if they have a web site with any info?

off to eat some srawberry's xx

(can't type this evening i've just had to redo most of this cause it didn't make any sense!! what is wrong with me!!)

NatalieJane · 11/05/2006 00:46

I am now starting to get quite fed up of being so tired I can hardly keep my eyes open, but then spending 2 and a half hours in bed trying to get to sleep, all for nothing!

FB, that does sound a lot of kids, my DS is in a class of 26 with three full time teachers and a nurse, and one or two helpers that seem to appear every now and then. All the kids are age 3-4 years.

Is anyone else feeling really breathless? I can't seem to catch my breath properly, I know this is going to sound really silly but it is almost as if I have too much air in me, and I can't breathe in anymore, but I feel like I will suffocate if I don't carry on breathing in... just read that back and realise how wierd that sounds but I can't think of another way of describing it!!

Someone please send me some good sleep vibes!! Please???!!!

Esmummy · 11/05/2006 08:57

Amyjade, you just need to make the insurers aware that you are pregnant, that should be all. We are going on our honeymoon in July so that should be interesting with me being PG and DD too.

When i was pg with DD we went to Lanzarote and i was 24 weeks, found it quite hard to sunbathe on my front but found that lots of walking made sure i got a good all over tan.
NJ, with you on the breathelessness, everytime i walk up the stairs i get out of breathe, and keep getting dizzy spells. Midwife said BP is low but not anything to worry about so that explains why i keep going dizzy.

Esmummy · 11/05/2006 08:57

Good nights sleep vibes

NatalieJane · 11/05/2006 09:20

Thanks for the sleep vibes Esmummy!! :) I hope they work tonight!!

I am the same Esmummy, M/W said BP was a little on the low side but nothing to really worry about, first time in my life it has ever been anything but normal!! I find as long as I eat quite a bit I don't get too dizzy, and it seems to keep the MS at bay.
