Sad news I'm afraid, had more bleeding on thursday and scan confirmed that I had a miscarraige at 10+5 weeks Had surgical procedure Friday to complete everything .Absolutely devastated but DS is keeping us going.Good luck to you all and may all your little beanies grow into big healthy bumps.LOL xxxx and bye!!!

MeAndMyBoy · 15/04/2006 19:17

Oh Brodiesmummy I'm so sorry, what sad news. Take care of each other and I'm glad you've got Brodie to keep you going. xx

twocatsonthebed · 15/04/2006 19:33

ah, back up and running!

Brodiesmummy, really sorry to hear your news. I had a missed m/c last year and know how sad it can be - I'll be thinking of you.

So I don't think I'll whine so much about being tired and sick, puts it all in perspective really.

And eeyoreuk, I'm 40 and so have gone for private scan (at the Fetal Medicine Centre in London). Have decided that I would rather know, and have CVS if the risks are high. That will happen at the end of the week, and I'm rather scared about it to be honest.

spinach · 15/04/2006 19:44

Brodiesmummy, I'm so sorry. really does put things into perspective for the rest of us. hope you're ok. xxx

Hi guys.

Brodiesmummy so sorry to hear your news. I've been bleeding today too and have a scan booked for tomorrow morning at 10.15am.

Harrogatemum's story is giving me hope. Am anxious but fingers crossed.

Dh is working this weekend but luckily I've got my mum and dad here.

eeyoreuk · 15/04/2006 20:47

Broodiesmum so sorry to hear your news.

Northerner hope everything is okay tomorrow.

Twocatsonthebed - I have to phone on Tue to book but like you I would rather know - am also nervous - let me know how you get on.

Sick again this morning and got on the scales i am actually losing weight!!!

pinkmagic1 · 15/04/2006 22:29

Sorry to hear your said news Broodiesmum.

Havn't posted for such a long time as not had time. Had booking in appointment a couple of weeks ago and midwife thinks I may be a couple of weeks further gone than my dates suggest but won't know till I get my scan. Getting a bit frustrated as am 11 weeks tomorrow going by LMP and still no scan appointment. I think I will call the hospital to arrange it myself on tuesday as I am going on holiday in 3 weeks and it would really put my mind at ease to know everthing is OK beforehand.

Sickness is starting to ease off a little now thank goodness!

mygirllolipop · 16/04/2006 12:19

Oh brodiesmummy so sorry to hear this, the girls on the ttc after mc thread are great for when u r ready to ttc again.
Northerner - bleeding doesn't have to mean the inevitable. I have had different sorts of bleeding in all my pg's. Please stay positive.
Both of you will be in my thoughts.

harrogatemum · 16/04/2006 12:22

Brodiesmum - am so sorry to hear your sad news. Hope you are keeping your chin up as much as possible, we are all thinking of you xxxxxx

Northerner - I hope all goes well at your scan - I have everything crossed for you. Lots and lots of love xxxxxxxx

velcrobott · 16/04/2006 12:38

Brodiesmum - I'm so sorry Sad
Northerener am also thinking of you....
I wonder about my own pregnancy. I feel I'm not getting any bigger........ and it is worrying me I have to say. On the plus side I ahve no symptom except I can be quite hungry.... I hope it's all in my head but in this time where we are at the edge of 12 weeks I can't help but worry.... I never worried with my previosu 2... but this pregnancy has beeen different Sad
I had an 8 % of conception and now all I keep hping is that I don't miscarry!

Northerner · 16/04/2006 13:32

Hi guys, well good news here. Had my scan and they saw a viable pregnancy and a heartbeat! Can't believe it. Am still bleeding though, and today it's developed into clots (sorry if tmi) so I really thought the worst. They can't see any signs of what is causing the bleeding, so I've just got to sit tight and hope the worst doesn't happen.

My mum and dad have taken ds out so I can have a rest.

Thanks for the good wishes guys. I'll keep you updated.

pupuce · 16/04/2006 13:43

That's good Northerner Smile

Northerner · 16/04/2006 13:44

Thanks Pupuce Smile

This bleeding malarkey is much more common than I thought.

pupuce · 16/04/2006 13:46

It is very common but it can be quiet scary!

pupuce · 16/04/2006 13:47

quite..... of course Blush

mygirllolipop · 16/04/2006 13:48

great news northerner!

Northerner · 16/04/2006 13:50

Yes very scary. I'm still anxious that it will all be OK IYKWIM.

Northerner · 16/04/2006 13:50

I mean, how long should I expect this bleeding to go on for?

pupuce · 16/04/2006 13:51

A few women bleed throughout their pregnancy! That doesn't mean it will happen to you though. Did you ask them yesterday ?

Northerner · 16/04/2006 13:54

It was this morning I went for a scan, they said hopefully things should calm down and the bleeding should stop. But I forgot to ask how long is normal.

Ovb if still happenning on Tuesday I'll call my GP.

pupuce · 16/04/2006 13:55

you can get a scan on a sunday??

Northerner · 16/04/2006 13:58

Yep, Easter Sunday too. I called GP today and they called the local EPU and as they had enough demand they opened. There was only 1 poor nurse on duty though (plus 1 in the scanning department)and about 7 women waiting to be seen.
