Thanks for the reply.
I have already had an early scan at six weeks, it was just a spot on the screen. I am 32 and have PCOs so I was under a fertilty clinic for a year, but we mangaged to concieve naturally in the end!! Its all new and exciting, my first gp appointment with a midwife(i think ) is on wed 19th april. i need to take a wee sample but thats all I know.
I have had some sickness, feeling really tired and have trouble keeping off my tummy when im sleeping at night!! Apart from I feel great and have a belly already do you??

Yes Emom I have the belly already, was looking at pictures of my last PG yesterday and I am huge even compared to 16 weeks last time!!

If you haven't already seen it, there is a list with everyones stats on somewhere down the thread, add yourself to it, and then we can all keep track of where everyone else is, ('coz we are a nosy bunch!!! )

Has anyone decided which hospital to use yet? My hospitals are Russalls Hall Dudley ar Birmingham Womens, dont know which to choose any ideas ?? Also I have been sleeping on my tummy during the night and when I turn over it really feels bruised, is this ok?? Does anyone know?

If you're comfy on your tummy it should be ok. Enjoy it while you can, before long sleeping on your tummy will not be possible.

Think the bruised feeling is normal. Everything just feels a bit heavier.

I also sleep on my belly, I think I remember from last time, that as long as it is comfortable you can lie on your tummy, and they say if you want to feel the baby moving a bit sooner to lie on your belly, also, I think I remember something about not sleeping on your back because the pressure of something-or-other cuts off the blood supply, could be total tosh though!! :o

I think I have the choice of Blackburn or Bury hospitals, not entirly sure though till I see the midwife. I would really like to have a pool this time so I will go to either if they have a pool!

congrats and welcome emom. I could only sleep on my tummy with DD's 1 and 2, don't think I was as bad with DD3 and have no choice this time as DD3 crawls into bed with me! I think the advice re not sleeping on your back is for when you're bigger as the weight of the bump pushes on your nerves and blood vessls/arteries.
I don't have a choice of hospitals, well I do a one 5mins away or a one 30 mins away. I think I know what I'll be doing!

felt a bit better after eating constantly all day, think im gunna do some rice for dinner that'll fill me up!

i sleep half on my tummy half on my side with a pillow under my knee, sounds odd but comfy!! i dont think there is a problem with however you sleep but its best if your comfy!!

hope all ok, prob wont be on over the weekend as dp home but will catch up next week!

Have fallen off the list again! Hope everyone ok, I haven't been too bad today but have got nothing acheived at work and constant nausea is back again. Really looking forward to my scan next week, give me something to look forward too. Possibly a bit early to be thinking about it but am going to suggest to DP that if it all comes through and we have a little boy that we call him Charles (Charlie) as my Grandad was Charles Richard?

Hi all. took me 30 mins just to catch up but now I'm off on a girlie night out so will need to catch up again tomorrow. Just letting you know that my booking in is on the 22nd and my Hospital appt is on the 5th May. My hospital will be The Queen Mother Maternity Glasgow, thats where my DDs were born and where I was born!!

Hi everyone and welcome to our newbies! I didn't think that we would get anymore but it is great to see our numbers going up I know that it is late but I only get a chance to get on here when the house is quiet
Well I had my booking in apt with the midwife today - she took blood pressure and asked all the usual questions including my weight , so I now have my maternity notes ready to take to the hospital on Wednesday for the scan - the midwife put me at 11+4 (which gives me a due date of 29th October , but that will be confirmed at the scan.
Jen - I think Charlie is a lovely name and a really nice thought as well, if I have a girl I would like her middle name to be Eva (after my nan)
Anyway - probably won't be on over the weekend, so I hope you all have a good one and don't forget - if you can face the chocolate, eat as much as you like ..... you don't often get to say you are eating for two

i have chosen Leicester General Hospital - but am not sure whether to go private for a nuchal scan i am 35 - is anybody else considering the scan?

I'm 38 and planning to have no scan at all... but that's me !!!!

i did consider the nf scan but not sure it offers any greater reassurance tbh. in my area they dont do the blood test that goes with it so its only 70% accurate. decided against it in the end.

Lots of lovely sunshine here so Dh is out mowing the lawn with DS helping :).

I'm feeling a lot less sick in the last week which is a relief, but have had a couple of naff days - usually after eating chocolate :( no easter eggs for me.

Went and had my bloods done yesterday - took huges amounts, but aleast that's done now for a few weeks.

I'm probably going to Walsgrave Hospital in Cov, although George Eliot is an option.
