Hey up ladies, just had a massive gush of fluid - at 36 weeks on the nose - so have been advised to go to the maternity so they can figure out if I'm ok to labour on island. Bit of back ache, tesco mattress protector not arrived so damp bed and shocked DH! Just having a cuppa...

Morning all. Once again i is having got up, got ready for the day, had some porridge and the house is still silent.

Is exhaust DS/mummy day today I will be a wreck at the end of it.

yw I am interested but is very technical. I love the weather and different seasons I would just rather the winter happened without any important appointments in it! Luckily no work this year!!! However need to get to NI at chrimbo.

Bump has just got so massive in what seems like the last 24 hours.

Ooooo YW sounds exciting! Hope you get your birth on the island as planned - am I right in thinking you're in the Orkneys or have I made that bit up?

YW keep us updated! Your poor matttress!! My dd has just pee-d on mine, thankfully had the mattress protector on it, but wonder if ny waters will go while I have it off and in the wash!! haha. Anyway all the best to you.

My midwife appointment was nice, very short and sweet, just what I had hoped for. Saw a lovely midwife who did my antenatal classes 18 months ago. Saw my 'due in Nov' friend today and she was telling me where you can park behind the hospital and it's free, and very very easy. I never knew about this - I have been parking quite far away for every appointment so far and walking up a massive hill, usually in the blazing oz sun!! eurgh!

My other friend is jetting off to Fiji on weds to get married! imagine how beautiful it will be!! I'm sad to miss out on it, but never mind!!

My matress protector has been on a week!!

Still no sign of anything happening regardless of what I do or don't do!!! Think now I'm starting to relax it might help. Or it might not!! Obv very comfy in there!!

Don't get me started on stupid car purchases, my DH decided we had to have a truck and spent a fortune on it - I have to say he is much improved now so I'm glad he has got it out of his system before we started thinking about having a baby.

Congratulations toNervpus and catbag your babies are so cute. I can't believe how many babies we have had already! I feel sure I will be overdue too - at this rate there will be no nov babies; they'll all be oct or dec ones

Pass I'm impressed with your DH carrying your handbag; mine is the opposite and gives all his crap to me to carry in it - he hates having to hold my bag even for a short time and gives it back asap

Been checking my rings as don't want to take them off but don't want them stuck either.I have now managed to burn my finger just above the ring so no chance of getting them off until that heals at least :(

If it does snow we will be stuck for ages. Think DH is secretly hoping we will be airlifted to hospital!

Has anyone else had a visit from a HV before the baby was born? Had a letter saying they are coming to see me and now having a panic I'm on some list somewhere as a 'concern'. What do you think they will want?

Last Monday I have to getup for work for a while!
