Thought for the day: when feeling fed up about being so preggers, I shall remind myself that I am not a rhino.
They're pregnant for a year and a half and give birth to a ten stone baby at the end of it.

Also note to self: must watch nature programs more often Grin

YellowWellies · 21/10/2012 18:27

I vote that Swiss should be in charge of all thoughts for the day on this thread. That was fab!!!

DesperateHousewife21 · 21/10/2012 18:28

Been at a christening this aft, 1001 people asked how long I had left and how low it is bla bla getting a bit sick of it tbh.

Feel tired and full now and honestly feel like giving up until she gets here. I'm so much bigger than I was with ds, half scared I'm going to have a 10lb baby.

TiAAAAARGHo · 21/10/2012 18:35

Horsey, I har those fears too. I just try not to think about it now.

I got a lovely changing bag off amazon: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0095SRYFM/ref=mp_s_a_2?pi=SL75&qid=1350840811&sr=8-2 which is currently doublin as my labour bag. I can recommend it, and thy have it in all different colours.

TiAAAAARGHo · 21/10/2012 18:36

I got asked yesterday when the baby is due, and when I said any day low they were really surprised (I'm not visibly that large and still have a belly button) :)

ValiumQueen · 21/10/2012 18:37

swiss have you seen how big their dicks are though Grin

horseylady · 21/10/2012 18:39

Lol yeah just can't believe how tired I get!!!! Guess it'll get worse post labour??!!

Eeeeek!!!!

So plan is to catch up on all the sleep and food I've missed!! Although I seem unable to sleep for more than two hours currently!!

No idea on bags! I decided on a pacapod so bought one second hand. Oh and I fitted a dog guard to my car today to keep both hounds in the boot. Until they figure out how to get through it. Which I don't think they can??!!! Still it'll be a test when I trial it ( tomorrow!!) but will hopefully keep my car cleaner and the baby safe!!

SwissArmyWife · 21/10/2012 18:53

Ha VQ I have not seen how big a rhino dick is, although I'm sure if I were a rhino lady I would be very pleased. Until I found out I was going to give birth to a ten stone baby. Then that bastard would get a horn where the sun don't shine Grin

On the changing bag talk, I suppose I should get a new one. The one I have has seen better days, I'll probably look on eBay for something cheap!

Elizadoesdolittle · 21/10/2012 18:57

Have had a lovely day and am knackered now. Whilst DH hasn't exactly apologised he did take me and DD out for a lovely brunch with my sis and bil. Was funny as sis asked him if he was pleased with my bargain swing and he basically said no as we don't need one as there is one in the loft. Which is true, it's not the same one but its a swing none the less. He didn't know I was going to leave that one at mil house. So a bit of a misunderstanding really but he didn't need to be such an arse. He's not normally so will let him off, just this once!

We've just got in from a first birthday party so am shattered now but was a fun afternoon. At least I just have to get DD bathed & bedded and then I can crash out in front of tv with tea and choccies!

Passmethecrisps · 21/10/2012 19:00

Hello.

Baby rhinos are very cute. Actually, baby anythings are cute.

Gorgeous sunny day today - I love this time of year. I really hope we have a few more weeks of this so we can get out with prams in the wintery sunshine.

Lunch was nice - I like havig people round for dessert only. Got lots of banoffee pie left and a wee bit of apple and rosemary crumble. Yum yum. We can serve that to our lunch guest tomorrow!

horsey I was having horrible morbid thoughts the other night. Totally winding myself up about still birth. I am not a negative thinker at all but this was like an unshakeable thing. I wonder if part of it was finishing the baby's room. We are all prepared. My granny had a still birth (obviously many years ago) and when he came back from the hospital my papa hadn't touched the nursery and left her to clear it all alone. My mum told us that story quite a bit as kids so am never sure how much of the emotion in it is my mum's.

My nose cold sore is a little less painful today but I have had a really sore eye all day. DH said to me 'oh Crikey. You don't have a cold sore on your eye do you?' Which got me wondering. I don't think I do though.

My Facebook I all full of posts from teacher friends talking about going back to work tomorrow. This is going to be VERY odd.

Passmethecrisps · 21/10/2012 19:04

Oh yeah. I knew there was something else i wanted to comment on - changing bags.

DH is very keen on a leather storksak. There is categorically no chance we will pay for that (considering I will be using the free Boots one) but I think he is holding out hope that we might get it as a gift - he should be so lucky! He is always trying to take my handbag off me and carrying it himself because he thinks it is too heavy. I tell him that the heaviness is my own fault and that he will look silly carrying my handbag but e doesn't care. Therefore, I think any bag will work for him.

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 21/10/2012 19:11

Hello. Have had a rubbish couple of days. Felt really heavy and achy all day yesteay, was off food and then spent all last night puking. DH has been v good and dealt with DD all day but I feel helpless and hormonal and not at all myself. First time I think I have really felt sick of being pregnant and wanting my body back. I also want my Mum!

Going to cheer self up by catching up on all the news!

Passmethecrisps · 21/10/2012 19:18

Sounds proper rubbish madam. I am sure that there are some days when we are simply not meant to get out of bed. Maybe this was your day

Strange question for those with big bouncy balls. Do you find that being on yours brings on the need for a poo? I always need a nice big poo after being on mine for about 40 minutes.

ValiumQueen · 21/10/2012 19:21

pass that is very considerate of your DH.

madam hope you soon feel better honey x

Not heard from izzy tits or kissy today either I think. Perhaps we need a daily register. Hope you are ok ladies x

kissyfur · 21/10/2012 19:24

I have those thoughts too horsey and pass that's a very sad story about your poor grandma Sad

I love both the changing bags MM but would prob choose the first one over the 2nd. I need to get a new one but can't find one I like that isn't horribly expensive, or that DP won't want to carry. I'd love a leather storksak one too pass!! I wonder if they do copies on eBay Wink.

I saw that nature programme today as well swiss But only saw the end half which had baby pandas and monkeys, considerably smaller than a rhino! Smile

YellowWellies · 21/10/2012 19:27

Woo there's snow coming at the end of the week. I'm well excited Grin DH was ashen faced watching the forecast and is now convinced I'll go into labour in a blizzard.

ValiumQueen · 21/10/2012 19:28
kissyfur · 21/10/2012 19:28

That should be that DP would want to carry Blush

ValiumQueen · 21/10/2012 19:30

YW perhaps best to leave off pineapple etc until snow is passed. Is that just in the islands or all of Scotland? (too lazy to look it up myself)

ValiumQueen · 21/10/2012 19:31

Hello kissy I thought I had missed you Blush

DesperateHousewife21 · 21/10/2012 19:33

pass yes all the time! It's good though, it's obv working by getting things moving!

Passmethecrisps · 21/10/2012 19:34

Should have warned you VQ. You need to take out a mortgage to own one. They are fabulous though.

And MM I meant to say, I like the first one best but actually I like the second one almost as much and I am not girly at all.

I am a bit worried that my wedding and engagement rings are going to get stuck on my finger. I have only had them a few months - I am not ready to take them off!!

horseylady · 21/10/2012 19:35

Joins vq on floor!!! My nursery furniture didn't cost that much!!!!!!

Admittedly it was second hand but still!!

Passmethecrisps · 21/10/2012 19:36

Nice one DH. A doctor once told me that poo should be like toothpaste - soft in consistency and slightly tapered at both ends. The bouncy poos would do him proud!

Passmethecrisps · 21/10/2012 19:37

Maybe the shock could bring in labour! Remember I did say it was DH ho wants this.
