Ok paow Ill have a look thanks. You have a good weekend too xx

Justers · 31/03/2006 16:11

Hi there! I had my scan yesterday and everything looks fine, although baby was sleeping and not wanting to pose for the picture! Now due on friday the 13th, a bit spooky as my friend is due on the 6th of june hence it's date of birth will be 6/6/6! So relieved after scan as i've had no preg symptoms apart from feeling a bit tired and developing a wee pot belly. Is it ok to eat philly cheese?

majormoo · 31/03/2006 16:27

hello. yes philly cheese is fine. Glad your scan went well.
have a good weekend everyone. will be my birthday on Tuesday so am expecting to be spoilt this weekend in early celebration.

marthahm · 31/03/2006 16:27

hey, another friday 13th baby! that makes at least 3-4 of us. i'm sure none of them will actually be born on that date, but if they are it's meant to be lucky for them, hopefully us too...
lucky you not having any nasty preg. symptoms justers. no idea re philly cheese, check the packet to see if it's pasteurised, if it is then i think it's ok. i'm taking rather a relaxed view of what you can/can't eat because i keep eating things and then finding out you're not meant to eg. a huge bagfull of nuts during the third week before i had a clue i was pregnant.
hope everyone has a good weekend blessed with much sleep...

wuzzlefraggle · 31/03/2006 17:24

Sunshine78 · 03/04/2006 12:38

Nasty!-brain and fingers not working together today!

paow · 03/04/2006 13:35

Hi girls!

Happy Birthday majo... hope you have a nice one tomorrow!

A random question to those of you who have been pg before.
How active were you at around 6-7 months?
My 13 year old cousin is coming to stay with me this summer for 4 weeks, and I am just wondering if I will be able to take her out and about just like normal.

Thanks!

whiffy · 03/04/2006 13:40

At 6/7 months I could hardly move but that was a combination of low blood pressure, being as old as the hills, and 2003 heatwave. Other friends seem to cope OK at 6/7 mths, but everyone I know who was pg in 2003 heatwave really struggled, so keep fingers crossed for coolish summer....

whiffy · 03/04/2006 14:31

Sassy1983 - were you due a scan today? How did it go?

Sunshine78 · 03/04/2006 14:55

I was fairly active last time at 6/7 months but it was the middle of winter! Take them swimming alot as you want notice how heavy you are in the water!

Gingeme · 03/04/2006 15:56

Thats what I was gonna say sunshine. Go swimming its a great way to feel weightless and most 13 year olds like to spend atleast an hour to two in the pool. Heres a question for you. Partners/husbands at the birth. Yes or no?

MrsBlobby · 03/04/2006 17:14

I've just discovered this website. Isn't it great?

Feeling more excited now I've passed the 12 week mark and don't feel quite so sick!

I've got my nuchal scan on Friday, so another hurdle to leap....

Fingers crossed for everyone!

marthahm · 03/04/2006 17:47

hello mrs blobby, welcome to the expanding ladies club.
skytv, i am also having disgusting headaches, gutting that you can't really take any neurofen-or can you? also thought the sickness was gone at 12+3 but sadly overoptimistic. i have my scan on wednesday morning so am increasingly excited plus a little nervous.
this may seem like a silly question, but when they ask you to take along a urine sample what are you meant to bring it in? i was thinking a jam jar?? feel slightly embarrassed at the idea of marching in clutching a robinson's finest marmalade jar...

Gingeme · 03/04/2006 21:11

Hi Mrs Blobby. Wont ask where the name comes from! No martahm you can only take paracetamol when your preg. You should ask your mw for a sample pot for your wee if not they sell them in chemists for about 27p. Lucky you having a scan. Got a few weeks till mine. Hope it all goes well for you xx

Justers · 03/04/2006 22:40

My husband wants to be there at the birth, but i don't know how well he'll cope as he almost passed out when the midwife took my blood. He also has this strange habit of laughing (nervous laugh i think!)when I'm really upset or sore, therefore that may be extremely annoying or may lead to divorce!

Gingeme · 04/04/2006 08:23

Lol justers. Might not be a good idea then or atleast make sure he stays at the non gory end!my ex partner wasnt with me at my first to births but my new hubby was with me my last ds. He was a great help especialy as I had a water birth and he helped me move around the pool and mopped my face ect. Ive never seen him cry before until babay was born. It was such a suprise. Bless him .Hell be with me this time too.
