Thankyou Mrs Blobby and to you all. I feel much more relaxed about my bump now and can smile when the little fella has a wriggle about. xxx

I am feeling all excited as I have decided to take the plunge and book a 4D scan - not cheap but hope it will be worth it!! Grin I dont get a 20 week scan so havent seen baby since my dating scan so will be nice to see how it has developed since then. I am going to the Baby Scanning Clinic in Glasgow (only 2 choices of places to go here unfortunately and they are both around the same price). Have to wait until I am 26 weeks for the best view so it wont be until 3rd July - cant wait!!

All the best to you wuzzlefraggle. Keep cool. Just seen the weather and its gonna reach 28 over the weekend and gonna carry on hot next week. Be careful babe. Drink plenty of water and take cool baths when you can. Lucky you Seona. I fancied one of those but like you say a little expensive. My hairdressers sister had one done and she said it was fascinating if a little yukky in places where baby looked quite skeletal! I saw a good profile of my little one on my 20 week scan even the sonographer said he had a nice nose he he. Grin

Hope all goes well on Monday, Wuzzlefraggle and have a great holiday. It's buckets and spades after this, so make the most of it.

Seona, I've heard those scans are really good as well. I think I'd do the same if I didn't get a 20wk. Where I live you don't get the dating scan, just the 20wk but as I'm considered elderly, I got the nuchal transclucency scan at 13 wks and saw the baby. (Actually it was 15 weeks because I had no idea what my dates were - honestly I felt like a teenager telling the doctor.) It makes such a massive difference. I wonder how our mums managed without (or are people whose mums had scans having babies already!)

I'm feeling the baby move more now. DP even felt it last night. I was wondering what it was like for my dog's biological mum - there were 11 in the litter.

btw Gingeme, to get on the meeting-up thread, go to Topics, scroll down to meet-ups and look for Due Oct 2006.

Swizzler · 18/06/2006 11:30

Hello there everyone! Back from holiday and catchiing up on your news. Hasn't it been a busy week?

Wuzzle: hope I'm not too late to wish you all the best for the wedding :)

Gingeme: so glad your scan went OK.

Congrats on all the other scans too!

Not looking forward to being back in London in this weather. Holiday was great - hot but we were near the coast so it wasn't humid. Lots of lazing around in sunshine and on beach. I'm definitely more sensitive to the sun - got myself a nice tan despite being slathered in factor 15. Now I have to face returning to work on Monday :(

I had my first compliment on my pg on hol as well - woman in shop saying 'nice bump'! Starting to get startled looks from strangers as well, esp when wearing floaty maternity tops.

I've also starting seeing my bump move - v weird. Not sure how to react to that one.

Hope everyone is enjoyng the weekend and coping in the heat. With my addiction to all things Lush, I'm finding their frozen shower jellies a lifesaver.

Gingeme · 18/06/2006 11:43

Hi Swizzler glad your hols went well. Down to earth with a bump tomm then when you go back to work? Its fascinating when you see your bump moving isnt it? I love laying in the bath realy still then all of a sudden the water will move cause the baby does. You wait till about 7 months when you can realy distinguish feet and hands and head and bottom.I just love that bit GrinSorry if thats freaking you out but I love it.

Gingeme · 20/06/2006 11:42

Hey where is everybody? Must have been a realy busy weekend for you all. So glad the weathers cooled down a bit now. Feeling baby move lots now. dh felt it too last night. Locely Wink

Gemmitygem · 20/06/2006 11:55
