Hi ladies,it should be every 4wks til 30wks then every 2wks til 36wks and then every wk until you pop.
But as the nhs so useless here am having to fork out for private midwife, but when i lived in london i had all those apts, but you do get fed up with constantly sitting in a hospital or clinic.
How is everyone feeling now?do you still have sickness?mine has passed but i still cant eat chocolate, that makes me queasy,i can also now feel baby kicking which is great,i hope your all having lovely healthy pregnancys nowSmile

Normaly I moan at him for not buying me an Easter egg but this year I couldnt have cared less. I wonder how Laguacana is getting on. Ihope she has sorted her feelings out and will join us again soon.

majormoo · 02/05/2006 15:38

Sunshine78 · 02/05/2006 16:26

My appetiate has also gone this time I struggle with a full meal - something that has never happened before even when expecting DS!

JustBonnie · 02/05/2006 16:39

just popped in to say hi. i was on the october 2005 thread and am sitting here looking at my little one in her walker pulling cds out of the rack and thinking how fast time flies!! Just wanted to wish you all good luck and here's hoping for a cool summer for you Smile

nowanearlyNicemum · 02/05/2006 16:44

just back from dp's parents where I just about survived 5 days without blowing my top - just as well I don't have an appt soon to measure my blood pressure :)
bump getting bigger by the day - and have been feeling baby move for a few days now... SUCH a lovely feeling
glad to hear you're all doing well

Rianna · 02/05/2006 17:10

Right, that Bounty pack is dissapointing.Emma's diary-pack as well.
It used to be full of information/ goodies.
On teh other hand, fab nursing bra's/ maternity clothes ( as well as those long tops in normal shops) and much better nursing pads (I've already looked in Boots) this time.
I'm starting to show now ( due 15-10-06) but would like to show more, so stick my tummy out and have to be careful with my back :-)

Gingeme · 02/05/2006 18:09

A big well done to nownearly xxx Smile

hana · 02/05/2006 18:27

earlynicemum - how exciting to be feeling the baby! I haven't yet - I'm 17 weeks and it's my third ( thought I would have by now.......) I spend a few minutes just after I'm in bed and concentrate........but nothing yet!

hana · 02/05/2006 18:28

just thought
is your name now a nearly nice mum
or now an early nice mum
???!!!

Rianna · 02/05/2006 18:38

I felt the first movements with no 1 at 22 weeks, no 2 at 14, no 3 at 8-9!!! and with no 4 as well. Now at 16 weeks I feel the movemements daily and very strongly.
My midwife believes me that it is possible to feel the baby so early!

hana · 02/05/2006 18:40

Rhinna - at 8-9 weeks? wow. it's still so small !

Rianna · 02/05/2006 18:46

Hi Hana,
Yes I know, it always took me a few days to believe it really was baby- not indigestion.
Until last week i didn't feel it daily though- my mum drove me mad by asking every day' does the baby move?' well no, coulnd't feel it every day!
And with my first one it took so long and then it was only a flutter for the first weeks!
Anyway, I'm back here on mumsnet because now that I have a tummy, heartburn, feel movements , I really start to feel I'm pregnant!
ok, was very sick until now, but as I've had a bleeding and have had 3 miscarriages in the past, was scared it would go wrong.
I won't ask all of you who you are, I suppose you are all on the list?

hana · 02/05/2006 19:17

Rianna - this is your 4th? what do you have now? I've also had a few m/c so this is v special to me ( and a bit of a surprise, my baby is only 16 months!) I already have 2 girls, and have a feeling this little one is as well

totallyfloaty35 · 02/05/2006 19:33

Hi all, just a quick question, how many of you will be finding out the sex of their baby at the scan? and how many of you would rather have a surprise? my husband doesnt want to know but im wavering.

marthahm · 02/05/2006 19:49

hi all
sickness really seems to be going, but the hormones are still crazy. had a run in with a bus driver today and ended up in floods of tears in front of whole bus load of people. on the bright side, baby is kicking like a hyperactive child on coca cola.
we decided we definitely didn't want to find out the sex. now dh is saying maybe we should because i keep calling the baby 'he' (have a strong feeling it's a boy) dh thinks if i keep going like this i will have serious problems if it's a girl. i think i will have a really good look at the 20 week scan but still not ask. praying for a girl really as the boys name suggestions are still horrific-latest is wilbur...
well done for surviving the outlaws nowanearly. 5 days is a long slog.
hello rianna, impressive to be on no. 4.

does anyone think if it kicks non stop this has any indication of how active a child it's going to be?

Rianna · 02/05/2006 19:56

Hi Hana,
I have two girls (11 and 8) between them two I had three miscarriages. Then I had a liitle boy, now 5.So glas for you everything is going well this time!
How many weeks are you? I have found all my pregancies different :sick with no 1 (girl) , not with 2 (girl) sick with no 3 (boy) and very sick with no 4- (?)
There's no way I can predict what a baby is going to be.
But I knew every time and this time , at 22 weeks, I intend to ask again what sex baby will be.I don't have any babyclothes anymore so might as well buy everything pink or blue!

Swizzler · 02/05/2006 20:07

new to the board

Hello there everyone,

Just joined the site after a recommedation from a friend - looks like there's lots of useful stuff here. I'm due 12 October, and it's my first baby. Think I can feel movement, but not sure what to look out for!

It all seems to be going weel, now I'm past that awful sick/worried 1st trimester. Hope you're all enjoying the bits of sunshine we can see...

swizzler

Seona1973 · 02/05/2006 20:07

We dont get another scan here (after the dating scan) unless there is a problem with the pregnancy e.g. high blood pressure, gestational diabetes, etc so I might not get another chance to see baby. I did find out the sex the last time as I had a late growth scan but the hospital policy has changed since then and there are posters up telling you not to embarass the sonographer by asking the sex of the baby as they will not tell you anyway. It'll be a surprise this time!!

Gingeme · 02/05/2006 22:30

Yes we are gonna ask the sex on the 20 week scan. Already having 3 boys I guess Im secretly desperate for a girl. As Rianna said we dont have any clothes left from last ds so itll be nice to get some of one colour though I think well still buy neutral colours at first cause you just never know how correct the scan will be. Welcome Swizzler and congrats on your first pregnancyx I had my first 2 ds like that hana. They are only 15 months apart. Certainly wasnt planned that way and my 2nd ds was a breast feeding mistake. I always remember my midwife wagging her finger and saying'breast feeding is not a form of contraception'. Well hes the proof he he. You could ask dh to leave the room in your next scan totaly!! Thats if you can keep a secret ofcourse. xxWink

wuzzlefraggle · 03/05/2006 08:58

hi ladies Grin hope that everyone is doing well

justbonnie - thankyou for the well wishes to the thread, that was really nice of you :)

nowanearly - good to hear that you survived lol!

Totally - yup, we are deffinatly going to ask the sex of the baby at the next scan

Swizzler - welcome to the thread and to MN, this is my first baby too :)

nowanearlyNicemum · 03/05/2006 10:11

morning all!
welcome to all the newcomers - seems to be more of us everyday!! here's to happy, healthy pregnancies from here on in :)

I'm surprised to be feeling the baby this early too, hana. With dd I didn't feel her moving until really late on so this is a bit of a bonus! It's generally just as I'm lying down to go to sleep. Fingers crossed you'll get some movement soon. Isn't it just the BEST feeling!?!

oh, by the way hana, FYI my name is 'now a nearly Nice mum' because I live near Nice!

we definitely don't want to find out the sex totallyfloaty. Last time dp said he wanted to and then at the 20 week scan he was too engrossed with how the baby was doing to ask the sex so we ended up having a surprise. That's what we both want this time round too.

marthahm, we're really struggling with boy's names too - same as last time. I'm amazed we seem to agree on a girl's name already but dp is being REALLY stubborn about a certain boy's name that I think sounds nice in French but not in English. oh well, we'll just have to wait and see.

hope you're all enjoying a bright, sunny morning :)

Rianna · 03/05/2006 10:17

Gingeme I can immagine you prefer a girl after 3 boys.In the end it doesn't matter at all ( and for the children it is very nice when they are same sex) .some people prefer all children of the same sex.in the end it is a good thing you can't choose. can you immagine having those discussions? shall we have a baby? what sex? an older brother ens then a girl so he can protect her. no a girl first, so she will help look after the little ones... and ofcourse husband and wife would have different opinions and most first ones would be boys..and then a girl, how boring.
I wnet mad after two girls with all people nagging me about trying again..I was glad to have a boy just to get everyone of my back.
especially when i was pregnant with no 3, people asked if my (italian) dh would hit me if it was a girl again, haha.
Anyway, as the two girls are very close and my son is left out a bit, just for him a boy would be nice, but for myself I have no real preference. Have choosen names for both sexes already!

Gingeme · 03/05/2006 10:48

I now your right Rianna. As long as its healthy and got all the right bits and pieces thats all that matters realy. I think my 2nd ds would love a little sister though. He told me I have to tell him as soon as I find out the sex. Pleased to say my dh isnt bothered either though I think deep down he would like a daughter. Im pleased to say Ive finaly been to my gp for some thrush stuff. Started using it straight away. On a downer though I cant take anything for my hayfeverSad. I suffer quite bad every year and have found a good combi of tablets and nasal spray which keeps it at bay but cant do any of it this summer. Think Ill take shares out in Kleenex!! Oh well enjoy the sunshine. XX
