Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I wore a 'normal' pair of trousers yesterday and they were killing me by the end of the day. So sticking to wearing either maternity trousers or the ones I bought just after DD was born, during that horrible few weeks when you still look pregnant after the birth...well... I did anyway! I was made redundant from my job when had DD (voluntarily) and when she was about a week old I had to go to a solictor to sign all the papers. She was glamorous, gorgeous and young which made me feel dowdy enough as it was, having just given birth. Her first question to me was to ask when the baby was due. I was MORTIFIED.

Spoke to my best friend this morning to wish her Happy Birthday. She saw my sister on Tuesday, who told her I have a massive bump already so I am definitely not imagining it!!

wuzzle do feel for you with the scan date dragging out like that. Time just goes so slowly.

majormoo · 13/04/2006 13:31

Mrs Blobby-200! I am very impressed. I barely manage 10!

catgirl · 13/04/2006 15:50

am glad to read that some of us are already in maternity clothes - me too, but as I inadvertently told half my work that I am expecting I didn't think it was worth sucking it in anymore (pressed the wrong button on email 'reply to all'! opps Blush). Have my 12 week scan next Thursday - going on my own - dh has to work - didn't even get a 12 week scan with my ds - doc said 'you are young (32) and healthy - no need'! anyway Happy Easter to you all!

hana · 13/04/2006 15:54

oh I'm in maternity things now too! Only jeans though - I flew home to Canada about 10 days ago and wore them on the plane for comfort......and never did go back to my regular ones. But I only brough one pair over - may have to go shopping!!

catgirl · 13/04/2006 15:57

yes, don't have much, just one work skirt and one pair of trousers, then a pair of cords for the weekend - mat jeans are still too big - and normal baggy tops anyway. Had forgotten this awkward 'nothing fits right' stage. I have another couple of skirts that I can get away with not zipping to the top!

whiffy · 13/04/2006 16:32

LOL MrsBlobby. 200 pull-ins during a sugarbabes concert, that's what I call a one-track mind Grin

I have never tried pelvic excercises to music so will try on way to airport tonight. Mind you, we only have childrens tape in car so I will have to remember to take it easy when I get to 'Old Macdonald'

Happy Easter, everyone.

MrsBlobby · 13/04/2006 16:51

That's my record so far..... normally I don't get past 20!

There's the challenge for this Easter everyone!!!

Happy squeezing!

:o

Tigerlion · 13/04/2006 18:30

Just managed to get through 2 bags of Hula Hoops in under five minutes – those beef ones are soooo good!
Went for my scan this morning thinking I was 11 weeks PG but was told that I was in fact 15 weeks PG and I am too far gone to have the nuchal scan done.

What an amazing thing to see that LO wriggling around. We took our 8 month old DS with us to the scan and all he could do was blow raspberries at his little sister or brother. Doesn't seem that long ago that we were looking at DS on his scans!

Glad to see that everyone else is having joys with their scans. Is everyone still thionking about lots of names? We would definitely like Eloise for a girl but can't decide for a boy. It took us long enough to come up with Alex(ander) for DS. The problem is so many names are taken by close friends or relatives tha`t we would ideally like to have a different one if we have a DS. Is anyone else finding the same thing?

Happy Easter to everyone and what a great excuse to eat lots and lots of chocolate!!

wuzzlefraggle · 13/04/2006 18:38

thanks majormoo, its just really really frustrating at the mo. all will be fine tho after i see that scan.

so, does any1 else have copius amounts of decorating to do before baby gets here? we are finishing the living room this weekend, have a new kitchen (which will be bought and put in within the next month or so) and thats before we even get to the babys room, lol. AAHHHH!! decorating overload. Grin

wuzzlefraggle · 13/04/2006 18:39

tigerloin, glad that the scan went well for you :)

wuzzlefraggle · 13/04/2006 18:40

tigerlion i should say lol

Gingeme · 13/04/2006 18:57

Good evening ladies. I bought 3 pairs of elasticated trousers yesterday at least 2 sizes to what I am normaly. My sister in law bought 2 pairs of maternity jeans round yesterday and I got 4 BIG baggy t shirts for now. Wearing a pair of the trousers today and feel ooooh so comfy. Ready salted hula hoops all I can say is what a life saver. Having thought my nausea had passed after not having any for 2 whole days I was caught out today and was nearly sick in the post office when I asked my ds to get me a packet. All was well after Smile.Glad the scan wemt well Tigerlion. Got another 2 weeks till my first one. Will be 14 weeks by then! Oh well time to cook dinner for the sprogs. Happy Easter ladies xx

Seona1973 · 13/04/2006 19:34

Had my scan today - now approx 14 weeks, 3 days by the hospital calculations - EDD 10th October. It was great to see it kicking and moving about although judging by how active it was I am going to regret it when I start to feel the movements!! Dh and dd went to the scan although dd was more impressed with the lift and pressing the buttons than by the baby!

Havent bought any new clothes yet but have had to wear jeans and trousers with the top button undone - thankfully they havent fallen down on me yet!! Am not looking forward to trying to by maternity wear as I am a 'larger lady' and there isnt much available. Apparently if you are over a size 18/20 you shouldnt be getting pregnant - may just have to buy bigger sized elasticated waste trousers like I did last time.

wuzzlefraggle · 13/04/2006 20:03

Seona - glad to hear that all went well with the scan Grin

gingeme - all these good reports about (sorry NowandNearly, but im going to say it) Hula Hoops, im starting to think that i should get some in on the next shopping trip.

Gingeme · 13/04/2006 20:58

Seona73 Im a 'larger' lady 12 weeks into my 4th pregnancy. Try Matalan or Peacocks for 'larger lady' clothes. I found quite a few nice bottoms and tops in Matalan. Very pretty too that dont look at all frumpy. Give them a try. They dont cost a fortune either....Go for it wuzzlefraggle. Hula Hoops are go!!

nowanearlyNicemum · 14/04/2006 08:30

right, that does it, am installing a swear box for the words 'hula hoops'. you're all in big trouble, better start saving up :o

wuzzlefraggle · 14/04/2006 14:30

lol nowandnearly Grin

if I dont manage to get on here before, all you ladies have a happy easter and I am going to be making sure to take advantage of the expected chocolate binge that is easter lol well...not the eggs (have no children as of yet, so theres no excuse to buy them lol), but most deffinatly the chocolate fingers that i have in the cupboard Grin

Gingeme · 15/04/2006 19:03

You dont need children to buy chocolate eggs wuzzlefraggle. Mine arent here for Easter but I still expect atleast one egg! HULE HOOPS, HULA HOOPS, Hula hoops!!! How much did that just cost me? Im off down to the coast to my parents for the week so I wish all you ladies a very chocolaty and hula hoopy easter. XXXXXXXXX

totallyfloaty35 · 15/04/2006 19:46

Im still off chocolate, very thought makes me illShockcurrant craving is pak choi, strawberries and beer

nowanearlyNicemum · 15/04/2006 20:44

mmm, I'm with you totallyfloaty - don't fancy a slab of chocolate at all. Could murder a pack of h h* though :o

wuzzlefraggle · 16/04/2006 11:03

Gingeme - it turns out that my dad has bought me an easter egg anyways LOL!!!

happy easter ladies :) hope that every1 is feeling ok.

only 4 more days till my scan!! roll on thursday

nowanearlyNicemum · 16/04/2006 11:13

happy easter to you all
that scan is NEARLY here wuzzle!!

hope you're all well :)

jmcmugwump · 17/04/2006 08:37

Glad you are all doing so well and hope you all had a nice easter.

Will definitely need maternity trousers now after easter eggs managed to get a nice pair for work from e-bay absolute bargain - only cost £5 and on the label when they turned up it said £50 so v. v. chuffed with my e-bay efforts ;)
Have only put on 2lbs so far which is really good for me as I have always struggled with my weight, but I can't believe how much my shape has changed, no noticeable bump as such but just much thicker at the stomach so the only things that feel comfy are track suit bottoms, to which DP said 'I really don't like those type of trousers'Angry - well he had better get used to it!Grin
Have had both dating scan and nuchal fold thing - was so cool to see it wriggling about - is my first so I just sat there with my mouth open, I can't believe you can see things that clearly at that age,
EDD now 13th Oct - great it would be a Friday, but I am hoping that as the chances of it actually being born on the due date is remote I should manage to avoid Friday the 13th Grin
Well the easter eggs are calling Wink had better go and attend to them!!

jamiesam · 17/04/2006 21:11

Hi all, not been around for so long I don't know how I'm going to catch up! Looks like lots of lovely scans recently so can I add results of mine, a week last Thurs. Baby the right size and heartbeat seen too and have been dated five days further on than I thought so edd now 23/10, though won't be then anyway as I'll be having a c/s at 38 or 39 weeks. So 13 weeks today, which is a nice milestone to pass Smile

Ds's (4 and 2) came to scan and they're really excited and keep telling me I have a baby in my tummy. Actually quite useful that they know now as they seem to think that they mustn't wake the baby!

I have also just cracked open the maternity clothes as even my biggest trousers and skirts are just too uncomfy, but I'm at that ludicrous stage where maternity clothes just look toooooo big.

nowanearlyNicemum · 18/04/2006 10:06

that's great news jamiesam, glad to hear all is going well for you.
do you mind me asking why you're having a c/section?
