btw VQ lots and lots of luck to you if things do happen before your scheduled section. You'll be amazing hen!!!

Had some lovely parcels waiting for me, I won £125 of Mamas and Papas nursing jamas, tops and robe on Ebay for £25 from a lady who wore them twice before giving up on BFing. Who on earth would pay £125?!!!! Well am glad someone did, despite my fluffy bits and potential for bowel accidents in labour - at least I'll have some posh jammies to change into when I feel like a car wreck after and attempt to face visitors. Wink

blonderthanred · 11/10/2012 20:25

I saw the news about Little, so lovely to read. Wishing her lots of love.

Lol vq, luckily I didn't see that!

I having been substituting DTD for that, makes me feel justified in withholding!

If I am trying to make the baby flip rfrom ROA to LOA ( it was LOAand it flipped last week the bugger) do I have to sit on/bend over the ball ALL the time? It is quite tiring.

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 11/10/2012 20:31

Now feeling like the pity shags I've been throwing DH's way this pregnancy are a bit below par. Perhaps a little more effort could be made.

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 11/10/2012 20:36

Will go catch up soon but just popping in to say Just escaped from hospital. Baby hadn't been moving as much as normal and HB was high so referred up for monitoring. 3 hours later we escaped only after me ending up with an ECG as my heartrate was up at 125. Babys heartrate has come down and the ctg is ok so we were allowed to leave and call if any problems. My only concern is why is my heartrate up and as movements still less how do I know when to call??

YellowWellies · 11/10/2012 20:36

Sophia make sure you're sleeping on your left side - that's about the most effective way of getting them into the right position. It might not happen though. This wee one alternates between ROA and LOA and sitting right in the middle. MW doesn't seem concerned as they can move from ROA to LOA themselves even to quite a late stage unlike say, moving from breech which becomes more tricksy from 34 weeks onwards - I think. Detective would know - please clarify if I'm talking shite.

blonderthanred · 11/10/2012 20:38

I had a vague go with the razor in the shower the other morning. I am not a waxer but try to keep things tidy and I feel a bit wildernessy at the moment.

Ashamed to admit it is some time since I have had carnal knowledge of my husband (despite feeling quite up for it, I just kept panicking something would go wrong or I'd have a bleed). I told him we have to start having sex in advance of the induction to get the hormones going, I just hope we haven't forgotten how!

YellowWellies · 11/10/2012 20:41

I'm shattered and off to bed in my new posh PJs sod birthing books I have a good Scandinavian crime novel to try to read whilst I have a semblance of IQ / any spare time. lets not mention the fact that I've read the entire Jo Nesbo series out of order due to brain damage from pregnancy so it's not entirely making sense as I'm reading the first book third whoopsy!!!

Night night lovelies. May the sandman come and kick the preggo insomnia fairy in the nutsack and may we all sleep. Now other than catbag can we all try not to have any babies until tomorrow? xxx

FatimaLovesBread · 11/10/2012 20:41

I'm thinking the same as YW. Mine seems to flip from ROA to LOA daily

Titsalinabumsquash · 11/10/2012 20:44

I shall admit now to never having given DP a BJ Blush we'd only known each other a couple of months when I fell pregnant Blush and I have no wish to do it while I'm carrying the squidgelet. We were having regular sex until about a month ago when it stopped because I'm in so much pain in my vagine and DP is somewhat blessed in that area anyway so doing it now may actually put me off for life! Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 11/10/2012 20:49

Thank yw. I shall try to sty on my left tonight I tend to flip too!

ValiumQueen · 11/10/2012 20:49

Not his birthday. He bought me a Dexter DVD. I love Dexter and was thinking about Dexter

ValiumQueen · 11/10/2012 20:51

Another vagine what is a vagine ?

FatimaLovesBread · 11/10/2012 20:55

I remember an amusing thread about a vagine where some one had typoed, will see if I can find it

DesperateHousewife21 · 11/10/2012 20:56

I remember that thread too, was hilarious!

FatimaLovesBread · 11/10/2012 20:57

here Typo combined with name changed fail
Grin

YellowWellies · 11/10/2012 21:09

Well Fatima if pissing myself laughing at that thread doesn't bring on prem labour I have no idea what will!!! DH is now slightly shocked about how coarse we preggo ladies can be! (but pissed himself too)

FatimaLovesBread · 11/10/2012 21:14

I've just lol'd at "My minge resembles David Bellamy shouting "WOW""

Passmethecrisps · 11/10/2012 21:37

Hahahahahaha!

Yellow the books were actually translated out of order anyway so nae worries. I am on the Redeemer havig started on Nemesis then on to Devil Star. I think The Bat is actually the first but has only just been translated.

All I read anymore is crime fiction. The next Ian Rankin is published the day after my due date - not sure if that is perfect timing or horrendous

MissMummy1 · 11/10/2012 21:44

YW I think you outbid me on the m&p jammies very jealous - they looked lovely and I'm sure you look gorgeous in them!

I've made up for my outbidded next baby clothes by buying several a couple of bundles of neutral outfits and sleepsuits. Safe to say we need no more newborn or 0-3month baby clothes!!!

Lovely clients tonight. They gave me cake and offered to baby sit when I go back to work for them a couple of hours a week in January. I like them Grin.

Lovely news about little - so happy for her!

applepieinthesky · 11/10/2012 22:03

So so pleased for little Smile I can't even begin to imagine what she has been through. Wishing her a healthy pregnancy.

VQ It has been so long I don't think my DP even remembers what a BJ is.

Izzy Sounds very scary, hope you are ok x

Madam it's also my last day at work tomorrow and I have mixed emotions like you. Don't think I'll miss the job itself but will miss some of my colleagues and the structure it gives me. I like routine. I think my team are going out to lunch and they've got me a present but don't know what. I hope they don't give it to me in front of the whole office, I hate things like that.

I was coming home from Sainsburys tonight after getting some cakes and snacks for tomorrow when this arsehole in a transit van was practically on my bumper behind me. I was doing the speed limit and he was so close to me I was scared he was going to hit me. He was flashing his lights, gesturing at me and going mental. I got home and was really shaken up by it. Called the police and reported him but apparently they only pay a visit to people in circumstances like this when there are two independent witnesses as they just don't have the resources to respond to them all.

I called my mum and she was furious. She left a message for the police sergeant to call her back which he did. She had to play on the fact that I'm 8 months pregnant and very upset and they agreed to send someone round to speak to him tonight. I am genuinely concerned the knob will cause an accident. I see bad drivers every single day but this is the first time I've ever reported anyone. Hopefully he will get a shock when he has a knock on the door and will think twice next time.

GTbaby · 11/10/2012 23:34

Apple bad drivers can really cause serious accidents. I'm shocked at how stupid ppl can be sometimes!

Something I learnt in my small stay at hospital... Pillow is essential not a 'would like' product.

Also take distractions with That reqyire no brain power. My kindle was no good as I couldn't concentrate Sad.

And finally for all u who have salon appointments at 38 weeks. Keep tweezers with u to sort out brows at very least just in case. All I kept thinking at hospital was my first pics with baby would b ugly due to over growth. I mean the leg wax etc is a want. But neat brows is a must!

Having some nice uncomfortable kicks ATM Grin have missed them and won't b telling him to stop being naughty in there any more. Grin

Izzy I have same concerns as u. Reduced movements have been checked n so how can u tell if something is wrong now. I've been going with time between movement. Even small movements. N wen it is hitting an hour since last movement I have a cold drink or lay on left side (which is when my fraggle is most Envyactive) Keep in mind I've only been doing this since I got bk from hospital at 5 ish. I'm sure it would b hard to maintain over a few days. I'm also sitting in positions were I know he moves more (with legs up on sofa so tummy is slightly squashed Blush). Anyway. I'm sure ull notice an increase in movement soon.

TheDetective · 12/10/2012 01:35

I am so so so so so uncomfortable.

Why the frig am I even in here. I dont think I can do this.

Head of midwifery coming in in a minute to work with me... That'll be interesting. I'm not sure the last time she worked on the wards Shock

I just want to go home :(

Iheartpasties · 12/10/2012 03:19

comradeJing hi, I think I saw from a different thread that you are also Down Under :) I?m in Manly.

bluetinkerbell lovely news that you can have your home birth, I am quite jealous of the home birth ladies as that is not offered over here (unless you have a private midwife, and I can?t justify the money really). My first was an un-planned home birth though so that was pretty special.

I woke with a start last night and jumped up and out of bed because I had sick coming up my throat, nice that DH didn?t even wake up. He gets on my wick. He didn?t even wake up when I was in labour last time even though I got in and out of bed at a least 5 times ? ignoramus.

A real coffin in tesco?? WTAF?

I?m glad you got to go home GTbaby and your baby sounds like it is really good size, great!

Things going wrong during a bikini wax tits?

georgee my dh would have had a smack if he called me shaun ryder!!
Cheeky git!!

limpit80 your antenatal class sounded crap, can you complain to someone?

Lovely news for little (made me a bit teary).

izzy fingers crossed for you ? you are not making a nuisance of yourself if you ring a midwife just remember that, everyone will be happy to give you the all clear rather than let you worry over something.
