Exciting stunt!

Had my flu jab this morning, all fine don't even have a sore arm.

Still no more news about WC jab though, seeing mw on mon so will ask her about it.

ValiumQueen · 13/10/2012 10:37

Well, very little happening with me. I think it was just a false alarm, but you never know.

Benedict? Called Ben as a NN. May be a bit much with having a Billie too? When we realised, it just made us want it a bit more Grin. It makes a change to almost agree.

ValiumQueen · 13/10/2012 10:38

It means blessed, which is apt considering my advanced years, and the fact it is a boy after two (very wonderful) girls.

georgee · 13/10/2012 10:47

Oooh yes, Benedict is a beautiful name. Nice long, nice short, and meaningful as you say.

ValiumQueen · 13/10/2012 10:49

Thank you georgee I was a fan of battle star galactica in my youff Grin

MissMummy1 · 13/10/2012 11:04

Not to mention the v fine Benedict Cumberbatch Wink

YellowWellies · 13/10/2012 11:18

Morning lovelies!

VQ I've got a good pal called Benedict - fab name. Swiss, Stunt, Peaky of all of the traditional names I like James the best. I know so many nice Jims and Jamies. It's fab.

I think we're sorted on first names for pink or blue and just have second names to play around with. Both of our chosen first names are pretty unusual (One Swedish, one Norwegian) but can be easily pronounced by English language speakers and shortened to English sounding names if wanted. Middle names in our families are usually used to commemorate a relative so we're still deciding on that.

We've also just heard that DH's cousin and his girlfriend are expecting in April so junior will have another 'sort of' cousin to mob around with. They are only early 20s and the baby was totally unplanned so are a bit in shock but both work with primary school kids - and are so natural with wee ones - they are going to be fantastic.

I've been having back ache and period pain (just gently) every night. But nowt more dramatic.

I love my DH. What do you want for breakfast DW he asks as he hands me my cuppa in bed, jam roly-poly and custard Blush says I. Preggo lady asks, preggo lady gets. Am very lucky.

He even jumped me this morning so am in very fine fettle. I think as we get closer to the 36 week cut off (which is the date I'd be allowed to birth up here on the island, any earlier and I'd be helicoptered south) he's relaxing. Lets see if the prostaglandins work some magic. Am so fecking sick of feeling like a dugong when I try to turn over in bed. 35 weeks on Monday whoop!!!!

ValiumQueen · 13/10/2012 11:32

That is lovely lane as it took effort, not just putting their hand in their pocket.

You are a very lucky lady YW

Off to google benedict cumberbatch as I am very old and clearly out of touch.

YellowWellies · 13/10/2012 11:39

Woo VQ he's posh totty... slightly odd looking but tres endearing. I would! Grin sadly in my current state he'd outrun me with ease.

Iheartpasties · 13/10/2012 11:40

fuck - i want some bloody jan rolly polly and custard! I dont even know if you can get ot over here - no way would i be able to make it from stratch!!

Iheartpasties · 13/10/2012 11:40

Benedict is a lovely name

StuntNun · 13/10/2012 11:44

Speaking of Benedict Cumberbatch, and therefore Sherlock Holmes, has anyone else seen the trailer for Elementary on Sky Atlantic starting in the 23rd? It's an American version starring Johnny Lee Miller as an American Sherlock Holmes and Lucy Liu as Dr Watson. A weird way to mix things up but could be interesting if they use the original stories as their basis rather than it just being some kind of spin off rip off idea.

Don't speak too soon DH I had mine on the Friday afternoon and was skipping around on Saturday saying to DH "I don't know what everyone is going on about I eel nothing" then Sat night cam up in massive red lumps and Sunday, Monday super sore.

Beginning of my girls weekend! Boys deposited at Heathrow. Is very quiet here! Except for the moment the girls had a mad moment with the birthing ball, screaming it's great without William here! Poor old DS.

I will miss them.Hmm

ValiumQueen · 13/10/2012 11:47

So Benedict seems to have the thumbs up then.... Thank you for your input. Mr Cumberband looks a bit too posh for my liking. A bit of dirt, crew cut and stubble, possibly. I am still in love with Indiana Jones.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 13/10/2012 11:50

Benedict s defo a thumbs up. DD2 was Gabriel Benedict but she was a she so got the Violet Forence instead.

Iheartpasties · 13/10/2012 12:00

ooow love Violet! cute.

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 13/10/2012 12:00

Morning all! Stunt sounds like things are happening perhaps!

Lane I know how you feel. Will feel stranger on Monday when I dont get up and go to work. DH wants me to turn off my blackberry but that may be a step too far for me just now.

We have lovely sunshine today so lots of washing done, walk to the shops with DD who is getting quite well behaved on her reins, then we have made an apple cake!

On the name front, I think, I hope, I have persuaded DH to go for a "normal" first name, and have agreed to a quirky/unusual middle name. Now just to agree on what those two are. We're still ages away from actual agreement, but to have some agreed parameters in place feels like a bit achievement!

ValiumQueen · 13/10/2012 12:05

Violet is mega cute. Had this been a girl, she would have likely been Hope.

Iheartpasties · 13/10/2012 12:09

aww Hope, I love that as well.

YellowWellies · 13/10/2012 12:12

Hope is one of my favourites too - but it just doesn't work with our surname. Curses.

Who suggested the nameberry website? It's awesome thank you so much and apologies for my dreadful short term memory xxx

DesperateHousewife21 · 13/10/2012 12:13

sophia nooo don't say that! At least it wasn't next weekend when I've got my baby shower and a christening. Going to be knackered!

Iheartpasties · 13/10/2012 12:14

Bollocks I have a tomato stain on my top, I seem to drop food all over myself every time i eat. Argh. Fingers crossed it will magically come out in the wash :)

ComradeJing · 13/10/2012 12:22

Had a rather exciting day here. Got our house at auction and then took DD to the botanical gardens to celebrate. My totally painless BH then became rather uncomfortable, slightly painful and very regular. I was totally freaking out. Seems to have quietened down now but I'm keeping my legs crossed just in case.
