Just to say good luck Bella with your scan tomorrow. Smile

We've been trying out the single part of the P&T pram today. DS really likes being in it as he's sat quite upright. I can't believe how light it is and it looks very trendy too! Wink Shame frumpy mummy here doesn't match! Grin The naughty thing is that when we bought it they asked us when the baby was due so they could start our guarantee from then. So we've managed to get 16mths out of a 12mth guarantee. If it breaks between now and Sept, we'll just use the other one til then then take it back. Shock Grin
Hope everyone is well, notwithstanding sickness, SPD and w*nker husbands!

homemama · 18/05/2006 17:35

Sorry, Mandaz. Please don't be offended. That was just DH's description when I told him what your husband is doing to you. Although he also used another word in ront of the 'w' one. Grin
Glad you have family support. And us of course! Smile

Lysettes · 18/05/2006 18:45

o'h mandaz you poor thing {{{{{{{{hugs galore}}}}}}}

bella - good luck for tomorrow

homemama - naughty naughty, but i'd deginitely do the same thing!!!

mandaz · 18/05/2006 18:51

Homemamma - I'm not in the least bit offended, in fact I totally agree with your hb Grin

I finally spoke to my solicitor and she's said that if my hb doesn't want to be on the birth cert I can't make him as he has to be there to register the birth once we're divorced (it should be through b4 baby due). She's also advised that I use my maiden name for the baby. I'd already decided to go back to that name myself but she said that if I were ever to re-marry then I could change baby's name without any fuss. If I use hb's surname then the courts won't let me change it ever. So, at least I know where I stand.

Mabel – Have heard they start sleeping on the floor first Smile and then eventually end up in the big boy bed. That’s next for us.
This weekend … it’s … (cue “Psycho” shower scene music) … Potty Training! Shock

Bella – Still lying on my back for sleeping. Dr. says even 8.5-mos-pg women sometimes roll onto backs in their sleep, can't be helped - but it’s not harmful.

Manda – Sorry to hear. Hope you find a good position. H sounds like quite a child. Trust me, you & baby are better off without him … my friend I was mentioning, who is currently in US divorce courts, has joint custody of baby with ex. Ex will invite friends over to drink Shock while baby is in his care. There’s also a chance he could just out and kidnap the baby anytime (we wouldn’t be surprised at anything he’d do), so again, you are much better off having your ex OUT of the picture. Not saying he'd be as bad, but this way you'd call all the shots. Disposing of his last name is good advice from your solicitor.

\link{http://www.baby-bib.com/bibs-bumkins-super-bibs.html\These} are my favorite bibs. Not sure if they’re available in UK, but this link will ship to the UK. You can just rinse them right out in the sink; no need to put in wash, no staining. Very convenient. It’s all we’re going to use this time (after baby’s a few months old).

Can’t buy much of anything new … DS’s leftovers all we’ll need (poor 2nd child Grin).

What do you all think of the names “James” and “Jameson”?

Thought “James” might be perfect, except maybe too common a name (& I dislike the nickname “Jim”).

Does “Jameson” sound too stuffy, too formal?

Morning ladies

Just a quick one as the site is running so slow, off in a bit for my scan so will post properly when I get back

Hope everyone is well Smile

HI all!
didn't manage to get on yesteday as the decorators finally came and finished the dining - it looks forgeous - I chose a kind of pistachio green which prob sounds gross, but it looks so bright and sunny and a much better job than we'd have done ourselves!
Bella - good luck today XX
DS seems to be getting used to the bed thing - had a good night last night and he was still tucked up this monring - he is still wearing his ro-bag as I think he likes the security of it - obviously it does prove a problem if he gets out of bed, but that hasn't happend since the ' sleeping behind the door' incident!
Mandaz - so sorry to hear about the way your hb is behaving - and so sad for your lo - better out of it though X
A friends bought me a voucher for a salon to have a treatment done - what a lovely pressie! Can't decide to have a really good pedicure (my feet are wrecked) or reflexology - does anyone know if you're allowed reflexology when pg?
and does anybody have a cure for cramp - PLEEEEASE!!!

mabel1973 · 19/05/2006 11:36

apologies for my terrible spelling mistakes!!

liquidclocks · 19/05/2006 13:15

Mabel - good news that your son slept whole night in the 'big boy' bed - We're going to start trying soon I think. About reflexology - I'm having acupuncture at the moment for migraine relief and the acupuncturist also does reflexology while the needles are in so would assume it's OK. Just check that the person doing it is properly trained though (ie not a sixteen yr old 'beauty school student') as there are some definite points (particularly one on ankle) that should be avoided because they stimulate ethe uterus etc. Apart from that, go for it - I love it and it's SO relaxing!

Good luck with scan Bella :)

Bella23 · 19/05/2006 14:32

Scan news - ALL FAB !! Am soooo relieved!
Scan went well with no problems although have a low lying placenta which means I have to re-scanned at 31 weeks. She reckoned in 95% of cases this righted itself so am not going to worry about that for now.
Didn't want to find out the sex but the guy did say "well done little lad" at one point so could be a slip and we are indeed having a boy!! My gut instict is always that its been a boy but hey will have to wait until September to find out.
Mabel - go for a pedicure as its the time to get your feet out in summer and soon you won't be able to give your feet any attentionGrin
Thanks for patience ladies, go go go for a new thread if you fancy now.......

compo · 19/05/2006 15:18

Congratulations Bella!! Now who can think of a title for a new thread - I came up with this one so someone else should have a go - maybe you shou;d Bella as you're on a high today!!
