Look forward to hearing for you soon Smile

Hey jabber great you got the amnio out of the way and all went ok. fingers crossed you get the news you want!
Lennied what car did you get in the end?
If you have no aircon in work you can request a fan if pregnant so that working coditions are better for you.
Am waiting soooo impatiently to find out whether it's a boy or girl bump this time round everyone is laughing at me in work!!

spinamum · 07/07/2006 09:24

I'm def going to ask if it's a girl or boy bump, even though the scan is about bigger things! I'm with you cupcakes. I think it's a girl and Ds calls it "she"(he told me it was a girl cos he asked my bean through my belly button) so I'd rather know now and stop being tempted to buy quite girly wallpaper! I'm not a very girly girl myself , but in a house of maleness, I feel the need for butterflies!!!!! (it's tasteful honest )
I've got my nxt mw appointment on Monday. It is true/the norm if your 2nd pg is "low risk" that I won't see them again til 28 wks. That can't be right can it?

cupcakes · 07/07/2006 15:33

jabber - any news today?

jabberwocky · 07/07/2006 17:16

Not yet - aughhh! It's still early here, but the office closes at noon. I left a message this morning for the nurse but have not heard back yet. The stress is really starting to make me crazy

cupcakes · 07/07/2006 17:37

Fingers crossed you don't have to wait till Monday. At least they aren't trying to contact you as a matter of urgency (iykwim).

dublindee · 07/07/2006 17:39

teah jabber maybe no news = good news ATM?

dublindee · 07/07/2006 17:40

doh!

Ment to be yeah not teah obv.

jabberwocky · 07/07/2006 17:45

Just heard.

It's a healthy baby boy!!!!

cupcakes · 07/07/2006 17:50

Oh, wonderful, fantastic news!! I am welling up with tears for you.
congratulations

jabberwocky · 07/07/2006 17:52

Thanks, cc. I am soooo relieved. I kept trying to think positive thoughts, but little fears kept niggling through. Now i just want to sit back and enjoy this pregnancy a bit. (or is it possible to actually enjoy pregnancy )

dublindee · 07/07/2006 17:55

yeas it is jabber and you go girl!

Soooooo happy for you!

Any names yet?

jabberwocky · 07/07/2006 18:16

We're seriously considering Kiernan. We almost named ds that, although went with Aiden in the end for him.

lennied · 08/07/2006 11:09

Congratulations jabber, really good news. Am so pleased for you. And must be nice to know what you are having, I like Kiernan - it is a more unusual name here. I am going to have real trouble when it comes to thinking of a name, since I associate most names with the kids at school. And there are a fair few I wouldn't want my child named after!! If it is a girl we are thinking about Jessica, after my grandmother. Although that is very popular.

AQ - on the boobs front. Have been trying to get a strapless bra to go with a strapless top I bought for a wedding. Measured the melons and have gone up 2 cup sizes, and only 16 weeks!! Had C cup boobs to start off with, but now DD! Ridiculous, don't like it. Although DH said in support 'Well you'd really look silly with a big belly if you didn't have any boobs'. Not sure how I was meant to take that! At least they do kind of distract from the size of my arse.

beepbeep · 08/07/2006 11:53

Jabber

so chuffed for you, we've got the scan in 12 days (not that i'm counting!!), not going to find out the sex, but REALLY tempted!

jabberwocky · 08/07/2006 15:34

lol, lennied. Big boobs here as well. Haven't measured exactly so I'm not sure if it's just one size or two that I've gone up. Get ready for the nursing breasts! I went up another 2 sizes for that

spinamum · 09/07/2006 20:51

Great news jabberwocky!

Sorry girls. bad news on the boob front() I went from a A to a DD(or an E) with DS. Work the maths out if you like!!!!! In fairness i've stayed B cos of the extra "cuddliness" so it wasn't all preg expansion!

choccybickie · 09/07/2006 21:02

Congrats Jabberwocky it must be such a relief. I opted out of the blood tests cos i was worrying about everything else so much! Its really great news! Hope everyone else is well! Got my 20 week scan in 2 weeks, still terrified but excited at the same time. Maybe after that I will enjoy my pregnancy a bit more and relax (hmmm well as much as poss!)x

jabberwocky · 10/07/2006 02:16

We're going in for our big scan at 18 weeks. I think we're going to take ds with us so he can have a peek. We still haven't told him about the baby. I've been trying to find a good time all weekend but it just hasn't felt right. Has anyone else told their other kid(s) yet?

accessorizequeen · 10/07/2006 20:12

jabber, really really pleased for you that the test came out ok! you must be so relieved, I hope you can enjoy the rest of the pg now! I told ds (2.5) weeks ago, too many people talking to me about a baby to expect him to ignore it. Took him to 1st scan, but not going to take him to 2nd one in 2 weeks as nervous if any problems appear.
On hols, feeling v.relaxed if fat, frumpy & I do believe every man in scotland is staring at my 42E boobs - do I win? I was K cup when b/f, hate to even think about it urgghhh, only do Dolores bras for that size, I think you dd'ers will be ok with Elle MacPherson intimates which I'm told are lovely. BTW, M&S had some really nice maternity bras in, 20 quid for 2 & they go up to G! Legs & arse shrinking as they did 1st time round, so I'm starting to resemble rather large lollipop

magnolia1 · 10/07/2006 20:17

Jabber, fantastic news hun xxxxx

Had consultant appt and have to see him every 2 weeks from 28 weeks, steriod injections at 34 weeks and regular scans to check for placenta abruption. Dd4 was born at 33 weeks and I had a placenta abruption so they getting ready in case it happens again.

Anyone else feeling uncomfortable? I can't even sit at computer without it hurting my belly or back

Devongirl · 11/07/2006 11:55

Hi

Yep Magnolia, I am uncomfortable - mainly because I can't get comfortable at night. I find lying on my side very uncomfortable, my hips ache and so does my neck. I have got a headache too from having what I think is pregnancy rhinitis (thought it was hayfever but it's going on far too long and much more than any other year). It's disgusting and getting me down. Anyone else?

I want to stop moaning and just be happy!!!

jabberwocky · 11/07/2006 15:11

Starting to get more uncomfortable here, too, and heartily sick of the pregnancy rhinitis! Last night I was reading in bed, fine while lying down, but back and hips ached terribly anytime I got up.

Loulou000 · 11/07/2006 18:09

Hello everyone, been having a last childless holiday!

Boob size - ARGH. I started as a DD already, now am up to an E. Do you really go up another 2 sizes while breastfeeding? I don't want to be that big!!

A question - is it really bad to eat junk food while pg? I have so much trouble finding things to eat (I'm veggie, then you take away lots of cheeses and raw fish because of listeria, then lots of things I just don't like any more) that I am eating a fair amount of rubbish, to be honest. Is it bad for the baby, or just for my weight?

magnolia1 · 11/07/2006 20:16

Anyone else craving??? I have just eaten a punnet of cherry tomatoes and they are all gone

I also have period pains but heartbeat is ok on my doppler so not panicking.

DebbsyandBibby · 11/07/2006 20:27
