Look forward to hearing for you soon Smile

I constantly want junkie foods this time around and am trying really hard(doing really well actually) despite all the effort, I am bigger this time around-not big, was only a size 6 UK to start, but what is happening to my butt??? I am also on the go with DD this pregnancy- A LOT more active and still feel and look bigger! I have actually got cellulite!
I know it'll go once baby is out, THIS BABY must be a boy!!!

Oh, and I just LOVE MARMITE on CRACKERS!!!!!

lennied · 03/07/2006 16:54

Hi all,

Hope you are all ok. Had family over at the weekend so having been keeping up to date with everything. Am absolutely wilting here, feel fairly awful and look fairly awful too. Have put on getting on for 10lbs and am sure it is all bloody fluid retention! Hands and feet all swollen in the heat, and my ankles look like they've been inflated! I can't wait for some cool weather. Also have no longer got anything to wear to work. AAAARRGH! Thanks for the moan , feel better now.

Love to all x

choccybickie · 03/07/2006 18:14

Yep the heat is killing me too. I shouldn't really complain about the hot weather since we hardly get any! But I just feel really grumpy in it. I almost bankrupted myself buying ice lollies yesterday. Got my 20 week scan in three weeks time, don't know what to expect I'm a bit worried about it. Is this normal?

accessorizequeen · 03/07/2006 21:12

Feel grateful weather not getting to me that much. Fed up as can't find any maternity bras here to fit enormous boobs & planned trip to Leeds cancelled for 3rd time on Sunday grrr. All i want is a comfy bra (oh, and a wedding outfit), even nursing bras from last time too small already arrrgggh. On plus side, bought lovely m/care comfy trousers on w/end. Tho wish, wish, wish I was twiglet with lovely neat bump & earl jeans with fried eggs instead of melons.
Bump is lovely though, really enjoy the twice weekly wriggle & patting him/her last thing at night, can't wait for scan in 3 weeks either. CB, fair enough you're worried about it, maybe finding out exactly what they're looking for will help you relax? Being more informed always makes me less anxious. Try searching mumsnet for fetal anatomy scan or here's a site explaining it . Don't look if you don't want to know!
Off on hols again Thurs, should be great now I no longer cry all day

beepbeep · 04/07/2006 15:12

also had enough of the heat, want to get an air con. unit, but dp doesn't think we need it and can't see why i'm not ok with a fan - also running out of summer clothes that fit - bloomin' nightmare, I actually wish it would rain!!!

Hope all well x

Thanks AQ im so pleased I found this site its lovely to talk to people who have actually experienced similar things im going through, I find it really reassuring. Hope everyone is keeping well especially in this heat x

accessorizequeen · 04/07/2006 20:43

hey cb, glad you're feeling reassured. It's amazing how little I worry the 2nd time round, but certainly do remember being anxious about loads of stuff about pregnancy, childbirth & after. I knew about mumsnet then, but didn't post, too nervous! How's the paternity thing going now, is your partner still being difficult? Do you have some family support?

know what you mean about summer clothes beep, i have 2 cool tops & rest of time just sweltering, makes me wonder what I wore last summer when not pg.

accessorizequeen · 04/07/2006 20:46

was anybody else after wedding outfit? blooming marvellous have gorgeous top & it's on sale. Unfortunately just bought bm top on ebay & it wouldn't fit over boobs much less bump so I won't waste my money. But for smaller-boobed pg ladies out there?

Calmriver · 04/07/2006 21:17

Hi All,I am 17 weeks too, and they have booked my scan for Aug the 7th! They are making me wait till like 22 weeks!!!!

jabberwocky · 05/07/2006 04:04

Amnio tomorrow. Wish me luck, please.

Calmriver · 05/07/2006 08:13

Im sure it'll go well Jabber!

Let us know,

Take care,

lucy5 · 05/07/2006 08:25

OOh I just need to let off steam. Im trying to change my 20 week scan date as they´ve booked it for when I´m 25 weeks. Oh the Spanish system is so complicated, i´ve spoken to about 20 people so far and I still haven´t managed to change it, aaarrrggghhh, not doing my blood pressure much good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry rant over.

spinamum · 05/07/2006 13:41

Good luck jabber.
What a nightmare,lucy5. Hope you've managed to get it changed.
I'm really jealous of those of you who are feeling babies move. I thought i was feeling her a few weeks ago(prob wind!) but I've not felt much recently and I'm only 15 wks so it is still quite early.

Take care.

cupcakes · 05/07/2006 13:43

Good luck.

dublindee · 05/07/2006 13:50

Got my letter for scan appointment yesterday which was scheduled to be during our week in sunny (hopefully) Donegal!
Rang them up and cheekily asked to move it up by 2 weeks to my antenatal appt day and they agreed!!
Only have to wait til 25th July now to find out if it's a boy bump or girl bump

Toes and fingers crossed for you Jabber!!!

beepbeep · 05/07/2006 17:48

Got my 20 scan on 20th July, but moving house on 21st, so have something to take my mind off it. cannot wait but at the same time a little apprehensive, am feeling movements quite a bit now (most days i feel it at least a couple of times), i'm positive that's what it is, but still have it in the back of my mind that it could be wind!!
it's started raining here today so has cooled down wuite a bit - i've never been so relieved to see rain!

jabberwocky · 05/07/2006 18:15

Amnio went super, procedure-wise. Just waiting the 1 - 2 days now for results.

cupcakes · 05/07/2006 18:28

Good. Are you going to find out the sex?

lennied · 05/07/2006 20:42

Hi everyone,

My 20 wk scan isn't til 8th August - so I am going to be sooooo jealous of you lot over the next few weeks. Spina, I am only feeling bubs move about once a week, and then only when I am sat quietly and not really thinking about it. It does feel like wind and could well be, but I wouldn't worry. When I told midwife she said most women didn't feel anything until 18-22 weeks so I'm sure the next few weeks will bring some movements for both of us.

Still roasting here, 31 degrees in my building at work today (no air con ) and I was sweating and fed up! I have never wanted it to cool down, but I would dance in the rain if we had any.

AQ - also having the boob problem, why do all maternity tops have a string thingy under the boobs? If I put one of those tops on I look like I am auditioning for page 3! And my boobs aren't high enough up (tmi!!) for some of them, I end up looking like they've gone south, when in fact I am just quite tall so boobs are lower 'cos body is longer. Anyhow, all ends up looking a mess.

Got my new car tho, and its lovely. Can't wait to have a little one to ride around in it.

Pat those bumps from me, xx

spinamum · 05/07/2006 22:06

In first pg, i didn't feel anything moving until the text book 20 weeks. I was hoping for very early this time!

We had rain here too today. I had to refrain from suggesting to DS that we go out into garden to dance after I picked him up from nursery.i'm slightly unhinged at the best of times(Potential for future embarassing Mum situations, me thinks!)
My scan is in August too so I'm with lennied on the vibes!!!!!! .

Look everyone. It's 10pm and I've not fallen asleep on the sofa or my body hasn't taken over and put me to bed!!!!! I'm getting my energy back, at last. Still not reclaimed my house from scruffiness monster, but i'll get there.

accessorizequeen · 05/07/2006 22:45

Jabber, glad you've finally got amnio out of the way & so good that test results available quickly (I'm sure it's a week or more in uk?). Fingers crossed for good result for you.
Lennied, boobs curse of my life, so fed up at what's available in shops only suits tangerines as opposed to melons. Accessorizing can't solve everything, rats.
Off tomorrow night to drive to Glasgow whilst ds asleep, best get some sleep tonight I think. All stay well and happy!
ps didn't feel ds move until 22 weeks, 1st felt this one at 12 weeks, but ono once or twice a week at mo.

jabberwocky · 05/07/2006 22:51

Believe it or not, aq, I only found out about the newer method on MN! Had to remind them today that we are doing it. It's called FISH, not sure what all that stands for.

We are going to find out the sex, cupcakes. Dh says I'm too much of a control freak not to

We didn't see any boy bits on the ultrasound today, but baby was lying on its stomach, so not the best view.

cupcakes · 06/07/2006 09:41

lennied - my scan is on the 8th August too.

I am tempted to ask if they can see the sex this time (I didn't know before). Mainly because I have convinced myself that it's a girl and if I'm wrong I'd rather know now! But we'll see. I don't know if I'll have the nerve to ask when the scan's there to check so many more serious things.

jabberwocky · 06/07/2006 21:55

still waiting for test results. They said 1 - 2 days...I am on pins and needles. Trying not to think about it, but that's easier said than done.
