Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
mojomummy · 11/04/2006 11:27

Hi Ladies, hope you are all keeping well Smile

Anyone thinking of having a pre-summer hols before their baby's born ?

We are thinking of having a couple of weeks in Southern Spain, just got to ring the insurance company to see the last dates we can fly.

olivo · 11/04/2006 13:58

We're off in a couple of hours !! saw the pharmacist in town and am now armed with sachets of fybogel (i hear its disgusting!!) but she said it could also just be a growth spurt so i'm going to try not to worry!

Speak to you in 10 days or so!! take care!xxx

Arabica · 11/04/2006 21:19

Have fun Olivo, wish I was going on holiday Envy

SnowBoo · 12/04/2006 11:01

I've just had to canx our holiday. Was going off to Malaysia (K.L) and Langkawi for three weeks. Visiting dh's best mate. BUT doctor said i can't fly so hey ho. Good old English Summer here we come!

purpleturtle · 12/04/2006 11:07

We need to go to Scotland to visit family - probably May half-term. But quite frankly, I wish we didn't have to! I had contemplated a week camping, but given that I can only move in the mornings if I start with a deep warm bath I don't think that's very practical!

SnowBoo · 12/04/2006 11:10

How about camping in a five star hotel? Grin

purpleturtle · 12/04/2006 11:13

Would be lovely, but given the row going on between dd and ds as I type I don't think anyone'd have us! lol

Shame about your holiday. Have you got your money back?

melsy · 12/04/2006 11:21

aawwww snowboo thats a shame ,my ideal holiday too.Why cant you fly , is it too long a flight?

Im not sure what to do about hols, Ive got a thread on it ,as all confused , but no one come on it yet, Im feeling invisible Sad.

SnowBoo · 12/04/2006 11:54

Unfortunately due to having a stitch put in i'm not allowed anywhere too far. So we are off to my sis house in Dorset on Sunday and back Monday. Will make most of it!

As for the money, trying to claim it back at the mo then putting it aside for our trip to Cape Town in Feb. So i guess not all is lost.

SnowBoo · 12/04/2006 11:55

Every time i look on net i see you've tried thread killing melsy Grin Thats MY job!

Arabica · 12/04/2006 12:03

Shame about the holiday SnowBoo. Dorset's lovely though (although not quite as exciting as Malaysia).
I am pleased to report I have had my first erotic dream. I was making a documentary about wifeswapping for channel 5 and joined in the action!!!!! Blush

Arabica · 12/04/2006 12:03

24 weeks today, yeeeeeehaaaaa

SnowBoo · 12/04/2006 12:09

Well done Arabica!

And as for dreams..... I dreamt i had a fight with Dawn from Eastenders and pummeled her! Concerned as i'm not the fighting type....
Obviously irritated me last night.

melsy · 12/04/2006 12:14

Ohhh no IM very very good at thread killing snowboo!!!! I love cape town , were are you staying ?

Well done Arabica on norty dreams and 24wks !!

SnowBoo · 12/04/2006 12:18

We normally stay on Long Street or Kloof Street in the Gardens. Dh has an uncle that lives there 6months of the year.
I love it there and we haven't been for over a year so are getting withdrawal symptoms. Espec Mugg & Bean eggs benedict in the morning.....Yum!

SnowBoo · 12/04/2006 12:20

Just read that back to myself. We don't stay in the gardens, but in the area 'Gardens' in case anyone wondered. Blush

melsy · 12/04/2006 12:48

lol snowboo, didnt actually read it like that , bit now youve said!! Not familiar with Espec Mugg & Bean eggs benedict , is it indiginous(grammer??) to cape town or SA????

SnowBoo · 12/04/2006 12:57

Especially = Espec. Teach me to be lazy....Grin
Its only in S.A. There are a few dotted about. Lurverly. Sitting here dreaming of them now.
Ho Hum, will tuck into my three cheese and onion sandwich and pretend.

BigHotMama · 12/04/2006 14:43

Afternoon ladies, hope your all well!
I've just come back from my lovely weekend away in sunny Torquay and guess what, I actually got sunburnt (classic t-shirt design on only one arm lol) on saturday sitting outside a bar by the harbour, was like a suntrap! Couldnt believe it when my mom said they'd woken up to a sheet of snow? What the hell is going on with our weather these days? I felt bit sad as its our last holiday of being a couple and knowing we wont be able to go abroad makes me feel bit sorry for meself! We were going camping in June but dont think my back will cope! My back ached all the time last year before I was pg. Lets just hope this weather picks up and we are all looking glowy througout the last few months of pg.

Arabica am right behind you with 23 weeks n 3 days! August still feels ages away though yet.

Am booking a 4d scan this week for 5 weeks time yipee! Grin

Melsy, lol at thread killer!, shall I make you feel better and reply on your thread? Sometimes I feel like I'm talking to meself on ere too dont worry I think its our hormones ha!

Loving Mars ice creams at mo...

Wow just counted 13 weeks left till I break up on Mat leave! Woohoo!

Congrats to all scans, cant remember who's had what now? Shock

PinkTulips · 12/04/2006 14:55

wee hee, 23 weeks today, one week til 24 and sighing that big sigh of relief (i know nothings guarenteed but 80% survival is better than doctors might not even bother IYKWIM) lucky you arabica, you're there already Smile

feeling rotton today so dps been a sweetie and hauled dd off around town with him, thank god, i can barely lift myself out of the couch at the moment, can't contemplate lifting her. going to have to whinge at the doctor about the sciatica and see is there any chance of physio or something this time.

wish everyone would stop talking about holidays, dp and i have never had one together Sad there was always something else we needed the money for and then we had dd so we've just never had the chance. can't wait til this baby is bigger and we can go on a proper family holiday

as for thread killing, you lot should see my threads i'm on list, half of them are just me!

SnowBoo · 12/04/2006 14:56

Sunburnt? Well done BHM. That is an achievement in this weather. Wish it would make its mind up.
I suppose now theres a hosepipe ban we are in for a wet summer Sad Would be sods law.

SnowBoo · 12/04/2006 14:57

24 weeks is the milestone. Am counting the days. 3 to go! Dh can't understand why i'm so excited.
I've got a few threads on the go that i've not had one reply to! Do i smell???? lol

PinkTulips · 12/04/2006 15:03

awww, i'll hunt them out now and say hello Snow!

hosepipe ban, who needs hosepipe when i've a beach on my front door, tee hee hee..... sorry, couldn't resist Wink

Act · 12/04/2006 15:12

I'm 24 weeks today too! Was going to post this earlier but Arabica you beat me to it. I hadn't realised it was the legal viability milestone until last night when I got my pg book out again. I'm not reading much past the stage i'm at out of some kind of superstition i think!

only 2 more weeks in the 2nd trimester! I thought it was going really slowly but say it like that and maybe not...

we've got no holiday plans as we somehow have to find the money for a new bathroom and car as well as all the baby kit before the arrival...maybe we'll get away for a weekend or something!

SnowBoo · 12/04/2006 15:29

Thanks PT. Envy
Actually, don't worry about my other threads, just got stroppy with someone on one Blush hormones. Well, she was patronising me!

Hi Act. Well done on 24 weeks!
