Shelly I'm glad you were seen, either way! Just make sure if you get any other unusual symptoms you get checked! Sorry to be a nag Grin

TheDetective · 05/09/2012 19:13

DH I had a moment of thinking my waters had gone today! Damp sweaty knickers, plus massively increased discharge.... so it wasn't! But put a pad on and keep an eye on it!

Urghhhhhhh... the joy of pregnancy Hmm

TheDetective · 05/09/2012 19:17

I've been trying to get an acrylic cellular cot blanket for this baby for ages (a yellow one preferably!). I had one for DS, and he still has it on his bed under his duvet and he is 10! He loves his Grin and wanted the baby to have a matching one!

Someone on facebook had one brand new (they are hard to get hold of now!) and its the exact same as DS's! Including the old mothercare packaging, so clearly it has been stored for some time! So now, it is mine! Yay!

Very sad isn't it?!

DesperateHousewife21 · 05/09/2012 19:32

Yeah not pretty! Also I stupidly had a look 'down there' and it's BLUE! Bit of a shock, don't know if I want dh coming near me now!

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 05/09/2012 19:34

Hi ladies. Sorry to hear of MIL problems and jOb problems. I had physio tonight for more acupuncture. Hoping it helps a bit as I'm in a lot more pain. Physio was off for two weeks so I missed the sessions. Now having to take 30mg cocodamol which I didn't want to do :-(

Catbag · 05/09/2012 19:38

Blue?!

WaitingForMe · 05/09/2012 19:38

Thanks for the good wishes. He's already heard back about two jobs via recruitment consultants and it'll mostly be a 90 day notice period so we aren't too concerned. It was a bit of a shock but we'd already been talking about his next move so it's not like it's a job he loved.

I wear Tena Lady liners every day DH due to a combination of sharp kicks to my bladder and discharge. There's not much but enough that I'd be living in damp knickers if I didn't.

I was stood next to my car today and noticed a bloke check out my massive boobs. He then flinched when he got a bit further and spotted the bump Grin

Peaky1 · 05/09/2012 19:39

misslaughalot - I think I have just figured out that we were at the same NCT class, LOL! In Mere Green? I'm Christina Grin

ValiumQueen · 05/09/2012 19:42

detective that is very sweet, but I hate those acrylic blankets- they make my teeth go on edge

ShellyBobbs · 05/09/2012 19:46

Detective You're not a nag, I appreciated and took up your good advise Grin

TheDetective · 05/09/2012 19:48

Blue.... oh errrrr! I thought my lady garden was looking more like a meadow, but it isn't blue Grin Have you got a varicose vein?!

Anyone else a bit fed up now? I'm constantly getting kicked. In fact, it isn't kicks, it is full on roly poly tossing and turning over movements, coupled with 4 limb shots at any part of me the baby chooses to aim for. It takes my breath away frequently! I'm sure it has extra limbs... I know it has long arms from the scan picture anyway!

It is generally uncomfortable to just function now. I've told DP he is going to have to take on pretty much all housework for a few weeks months as he is back down to his basic hours at work again, and I'm still working FT and planning on doing so for another 5+ weeks. So today, I left him a very detailed list of jobs to be done. Yeah, I had to re-do many of them, but easier than having to do it all from scratch I guess! I think it is fair enough if I'm doing more hours, and over 31 weeks pregnant!

Sleeping isn't fun any more either :( Once I'm asleep I'm fine, it is the getting to sleep that is the problem! And the mega moving child isn't helping! It literally turns from up to sideways all the time. It is doing it now in fact. While kicking the laptop off me....!

Definitely feeling this 3rd trimester now :(

TheDetective · 05/09/2012 19:49

DP feels the same VQ!!

daisychain76 · 05/09/2012 19:53

mcsquared I know you have had plenty of excellent advice on here already, but just wanted to say I am thinking of you. It is normal to have lots of emotional ups and downs when pregnant (my baby was planned but I still had over a month of panic when I actually found myself pregnant and still have the odd wobble) and of course they are going to be a lot worse if you add in issues with family/living space.

I would imagine you will get at least one night in hospital with your first to give you some private space. Also, as people have said, it is about believing in yourself and your instincts and standing up for those. I almost had a full on row with my MIL when DS was 6 weeks old and she was trying to feed him sugar in water behind my back to help with his colic, but I think in the end she was quite shocked how assertive I was about it and she is quite careful not to interfere now (she is also an amazing granny, providing I turn a blind eye to the amounts of sweets and cartoons involved!)

ShellyBobbs · 05/09/2012 20:08

Detective, really fed up now, wish I was 37 weeks. I'm not good at homestretches in anything.

misslaughalot · 05/09/2012 20:12

Oh my gosh Peaky yes!! I've even seen your pics on the FB group and not put 2+2 together Confused I'm Danielle! Grin really glad we have such a lovely group of people at our class!

DH blue?!

TheDetective · 05/09/2012 20:21

In middle of really bad foot cramp fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. OWWWWWWWWWW :(

pikz · 05/09/2012 20:31

Mcsquared and waitingforme, sendin you both lots of positive thoughts and wishes.

Apparently my bump now enters rooms before me! I feel so ready to meet him yet 10 weeks to go. Nursery got painted today so it's all starting to feel more real.

Am also very intrigued on the blue thing?!?

Peaky1 · 05/09/2012 20:38

Yeah it's a good group isn't it. Awkward at first but then much better when we all realised we all had the same amount of questions. DP was particularly comforted that he isn't the only Daddy that the babies hide from!

eversomuch · 05/09/2012 20:39

I hate those cramps. I usually get them in my calf or thigh in the middle of the night. Really won't miss them when this is all over, but am otherwise not feeling particularly desperate for this pg to end, as I know it's my last, so am trying to enjoy and commit to memory all of DS's kicks and tumbles, which are many these days!

I AM looking forward to being out of maternity clothes, though.

I have been terrible at keeping up with the thread, but I know there are quite a few new members. If you would like to be added to the Stats List, send me a message with your details or simply copy the most recent post and repost it on the thread here:

Peaky1 · 05/09/2012 20:40

Detective - ball of foot on the floor with heel up and press down hard and hold it there grinding your teeth and swearing until it goes. That or calf stretch like it's going out of fashion (swearing also allowed here).

MissMummy1 · 05/09/2012 20:46

Another one with loads of discharge dh21. Figured as I've had it since pretty much 12 weeks it must be normal...

Evilwater · 05/09/2012 20:47

mcs it's your baby and your body, not your MIL. Yes she has children before but you are not her. Stick to your guns. For all the upset Thanks Thanks Thanks

waiting I hope the money side of things will be ok, and your DH gets sorted soon.

DH21 the lady on the phone this morning, said urine smells. Waters not so much.

TD I hope your cramps soon stop.

So today, I phoned the midwife 24 urgent hotline as no one got back to me about my bright green mucous Hmm. The lady on the phone said not to worry, unless my waters go, and then I need to wear a pad all the time. Had a small damp area, but that was after my shower, so I'm not worried.

Phoned the children's centre about my breastfeeding course, and well..... Basically I dug a huge whole, and kept digging to china. If you girls want know more then let me know.

Anyone talking to thier bump? ?

Did some gardening, and my DP thought I was over doing it. So he cut the grass Grin.

I can't wait for next week as I will be off work and I'm going to bath spa. For some r and r.
Evil

Passmethecrisps · 05/09/2012 20:47

My goodness! I try to catch up on the new thread and pages keep appearing!

mcsquared you have had so much support and guidance already but I wanted to add my voice to the others. I love both my own parents and the in laws dearly. However, I just could not live with them. The one thing that came to mind was that you are being so accommodating and understanding. I wonder if you are being a little too accommodating? Accepting BIL using the shower in your room is not ok. He's a grown man and you will need your privacy. They might not mean to hurt you with their comments but they do - they need to take responsibility for that. Share it all with your DH and let him support you fully. I also think you should put yourself first and take you and baby off to your mum's for a wee while. Your DH sounds like he will understand. Whatever happens, you know that you have us to sound off to.

I am glad things are already working out for your DH waiting. I am sure it's a worry you can live without, however.

detective I have been asked twice in the last week if I am fed up of beig pregnant yet. I'm not fed up of being pregnant as such - i still enjoy the movements and still feel pretty happy inside. However, I am starting to really feel the strain. My back aches whenever I sit down or lie down. The only position I get any relief in is on my back. I have a real waddle now and managing all the stairs at work is tough. I am avoiding being in the corridors at changeover time as I find myself anxious amongst all the kids. They mean to harm but teenagers are all arms and legs and often don't see what's right in front of them. Little boys are particular fans of walking backwards. I am definitely starting to get impatient to meet the baby though. I have completely invented a wee personality for it.

Who has a blue vagina?? Yikes! I am not really a hairy person and have never felt the need to wax my pubic hair. However, my DH was looking at my bump the other day and blurted out "my god! Look at all your pubes! You need a lawn mower". Thankfully I saw the funny side.

31 weeks today! Hi 5 to Kirrin, debussy and everso

4 and a half weeks at work for me. If incan just drag myself through the outdoor activities day then I will be fine - horsey I will be wishing I had your energy!

kirrinIsland · 05/09/2012 20:49

I'm fed up too - 10 weeks seems like a very long time.......

Passmethecrisps · 05/09/2012 20:52

evil I blether away to mine all the time. It's like my permanent wee buddy
