Sheldonella · 22/08/2012 10:07

Morning! I am all posted out from yesterday, that was quite a day :)
Thanks for all the bra tips - I don't want my bras to be a let down either pips Grin
Hope all is well today Hermione

JoJoBella84 · 22/08/2012 10:27

just a fleeting visit! You lot are such a distraction!!!
Another library/lab based day :( this time tomorrow... I'll be freaking out so I'm stepping away from MN in order to not unleash my crazy on you all :)

GummiberryJuice · 22/08/2012 10:37

Right I have just caught up but I need to go out and clean up all the puppy mess, please don't go posting another 5 pages

theTramp · 22/08/2012 10:47

Ok so after saying yesterday that clothes were grand I tried to put my skinny jeans on this morning - sooo not happening. And everything's getting a bit tight. To be fair I just look fat rather than preggers. Still, elastic top jeans are sounding like a good idea to me.

theTramp · 22/08/2012 10:48

& balls! I honestly thought no one would be called Inigo but it's sounding surprisingly popular. Argh I may have to rethink.

zoeymlucas · 22/08/2012 10:59

Morning am feeling very sorry for my self this morning and actually want to go home and cry for the rest of the day not sit at my desk and do work and I was so happy this morning after my loveley evening last night Sad
Last night I got home and DH had the whole house spotless, both DS bathed and in pjs, roast pork cooked with a homemade chocolate sponge and custard to follow - plus had bought me some lovely flowers and comfy new pjs Smile. DS even rubbed my back for 30 mins 15 mins for me and 15 mins for baby
Was a lovely evening and even managed to stay up till 10.30

Went to physio this morning and she has found I have hypermobililty which will last forever and get worse and leave me in agony and at times bed bound and apart from pain relief there is nothing they can really do - so not overly impressed and a bit gutted at my clear unluckyness!!! Have googled it and it really sucks, but also explains why my epidural didnt work with DS2 as thats quite common with this so means if I need a c section which she is 99% sure I will because of this it will be general and so will stitch in 3 weeks - am feeling very sorry for myself this morning and cant wait to go home and have a good cry :(

Yes confused I have an incompetant cervix so will have prob weekly scans after 18 weeks and have my stitch 3 weeks today got to love the dildo cam, lol!!

sarahs999 · 22/08/2012 11:10

Quick one on clothes - I have a black cape that's been in my wardrobe for years and I reckon that's going to be my winter coat. Could always update it with a coloured belt under the bump - saves forking out on special maternity coat.

BTW I;m another Bake Off nut - I bake a lot myself (have an ambient cake business that I run alongside my day job) and everyone in my office has been bugging me to go on the show for years. PLUS... I got to go on set earlier thisyear and meet them all - first journo to get to go behind the scenes! It was brill. I particularly love Mel and Sue and came away convinced that they were my friends forever saddo emoticon

GummiberryJuice · 22/08/2012 11:35

Sarah I make cakes too but tbh not many lately promised dcs no cakes over summer holidays now I dread the thought of them, I stress too much for all the money I make, have to make BIL 40th today, I have a page on fb

On subject of in laws mine aren't too bad but my own df is a different matter, all I will say is he hasn't seen my dcs from dd2 was a day old, after throwing a tantrum in hospital over our choice of second name needless today it was the icing on the cake for me as he had ruined every major life event I told him I wouldn't visit his house until he apologized which he refused to do,
Cut along story short many things have been said and done since and it has past the point of no return for me, I don't even know if he knows I'm pg now and don't care

Names I won't be able to discuss names in rl as my sil and bf are both due in Feb, my other sil is due in 5 weeks so everyone is afraid to share Grin

Hermione fx for you, although the rhesus thing is more of a worry for subsequent pg if this babys blood mixes with yours then your body will build antibodies against it and attack any further babies that is why the the need for the injections to mop up any anti bodies, hope that makes sense, can you tell I was a biologist pre dc and cakes and working for dh

GummiberryJuice · 22/08/2012 11:37

On and waves to everyone else you kept me thoroughly entertained this morning while I waited on my sickness to pass now off to bake a cake

ThreeForTea · 22/08/2012 11:38

zoey :( :( thats really rubbish news! Was it completely out the blue that they found out? You poor thing.

ThreeForTea · 22/08/2012 11:41

Gummi please could you bake me a cake?

zoeymlucas · 22/08/2012 12:18

Yes three was bit out of the blue, been going to physio at local hospital for months on knee and hips and he just said that he wanted someone else to look at something so had to go to main hospital for it and I didnt think twice about it just thought it was because I was pregnant!! I just thought I was super flexible and double jointed everywhere but actually reading up it explains ALOT like IBS, extreme tiredness, always aching and epidurals not working for me as well as super fast labout with DS1 2hours and tearing so bad with a 2lb baby, its all related!

Just annoyed I have had so many hip ops and no one ever noticed and she said I score 8 or9 on the scale out of 9, so its pretty bad! She was most worried about my back and pelvis as those joints move ALOT she said they werent actually meant to move at all but can move a mm or 2 in pregnancy but mine were moving about 4cm and thats what the constant crunching was and they could 'lock' at any point, my idea of a 'normal' delivery this time does not look even slightly possible and am only 11 weeks today - she is hoping I will get to 33 weeks again and will be happy with that!

tiddleypompom · 22/08/2012 13:47

CAKE, CAKE, CAKE!!

zoeymlucas · 22/08/2012 14:09

Cake would be amazing think might go home and make rock cakes, no one else in my house likes them so I dont have to share - hehe

theTramp · 22/08/2012 14:21

Really sorry to hear that Zoey and v annoying that it's taken so long for anyone to notice. No wonder you're feeling emotional. I think you need to treat yourself. Can you have a big bubble bath, trashy mag and an hours quiet time perhaps? Casburys flake optional of course

zoeymlucas · 22/08/2012 14:31

DH has said he will get a takeaway and I can relax in bed and he has bought me some cheer me up presents for while I am up there, hoping salt and vinegar crisps :) So its dvd and relax for me when I finally finish work and get home - on the plus side think he has finally agreed we need a double buggy and its silly not to have one as DS will be just 2 when baby comes and is still not really walking and is very lazy laid back about everything

Hormonal craziness has to work for some things, lol!!! Plus I have a list of things I cant do anymore from hospital including hoovering Grin

GummiberryJuice · 22/08/2012 14:34

Passes round cake

Zoey that sounds horrible, I have a few joint issues that I have chosen to ignore until recently, had physio for my shoulder that helped loads but now my hip has been very sore from last winter, only told gp about it when I went to say I was pg, he said we would just have to wait until after the baby comes, I go to bed every night with my heated wheatgerm cushion thing balanced on it. My dd1 has juevenile arthritis which is why I put my own issues to the side as I am always at hosp with her.

Which I meant to point out earlier that no matter what we get when they are born we never know whats down the road for our dcs, I think from the moment we find out we are pg the worry begins and never goes away.

Lexiindisguise · 22/08/2012 14:46

Hello ladies, manic at work today so caught up but no time to chat! zoey sorry to hear about the hyper mobility issues.

Sheldonella · 22/08/2012 14:50

Just thought I would update you on my bra shopping :) Just bought a pack of 2 maternity bras for £30 in John Lewis in 38F and the support seems really good. I don't know how long they will fit me for but I'm happy for now I think.
Ooh zoey I hope that causes you as little trouble as possible. Nice that your DH is looking after you.
All this talk of cakes is making me hungry again and I only ate an hour ago :) I was thinking of making peach and raspberry cake this weekend. Never made it before but saw it on the BBC website and thought it looked interesting.

theTramp · 22/08/2012 15:07

Client has just told me that I look really nice today & always look really smart. Seeing as I picked the loosest, comfiest clothes that required no ironing this morning and felt like a fat frump I'm quite chuffed.

Stop talking cake! I'm sooo going to indulge in something bad for me if you don't - hopefully with a generous side jug of cream.

shieldbug · 22/08/2012 15:44

Just managed to catch up!

Zoey poor you. Your dh sounds amazingly supportive though. Fx for making 33 weeks.

hermionehope everything is ok. Tut tut- no heavy lifting! Seriously though, look after yourself.

Some good news- sil gave birth to a boy yesterday evening. All went well and we're hoping to drop in for a v. quick peek tonight. Since she already has 2 step daughters and a daughter, a son was long overdue! So exciting.

mmmm...cake. Had to buy crumpets today after an earlier food conversation...am just off to snaffle one with melted cheese. Now also really want cake.

Funnylittleturkishdelight · 22/08/2012 15:50

Hello!

12 week scan today and cried when we saw our little Turkish on the screen. Got a new due date and am further along than they thought- due 27.02.13

Can't stop smiling! Horrible cyst has gone too!

Hope everyone's scans have gone well!

zoeymlucas · 22/08/2012 15:53

How exciting shield getting to see a brand new baby - I love baby snuggles :)

Its true what they say tramp how we see ourself and how others see us, is very different - cake would help with that I am sure, lol!!

Sorry to hear you DD has has problems and I totally get why you ignore your problems but hopefully when baby is born doctors will be able to sort your pain - DH always tell me I am no good carrying on and struggling need to face it and get it fixed, lol!
And sheld raspberry and peach cake sounds amazing I might try and find a receipe for that. cos I looooove cake Grin

theTramp · 22/08/2012 16:31

Great news Turkish & Shield. Chuffed for you both.

Zoey - it's true. It's also true that my once loose trousers are leaving big red welt round my stomach. Still - cake does sound like a plan..
