I've had to get up for a wee in the middle of the night every night for the last couple of weeks now. Grr! My scan is on the 3rd, too. How funny that so many of us have scans on the same day!

sundae I keep having dreams I have a baby girl - I can't ever remember giving birth to her and she doesn't have a name!! I just walk around holding her. It's very strange!!

kirsty80 · 20/08/2012 09:10

Good morning!

child I was so sad to see your post. Wishing you lots of love x

Never did I think my cheese toasties comment would cause such a reaction!!!! You do make me laugh on here!!! I'm off to buy ds his first school uniform this morning - I can't believe the cost of these things!! Hopefully I haven't left it too late Blush

Quick symptoms check up:
Weeing in the night - yep!
Hairy - beyond hairy!! Also was last time round so believed I was having a boy and so thinking the same this time round and whilst all I want is a healthy baby secretly I favour the idea of another boy!
More energy - pushing it with the word energy but definitely a little more motivated these days Smile

Have a good Monday everyone! X x

zoeymlucas · 20/08/2012 09:39

Morning everyone just taken me ages to catch up with the posts - bloody BT, all i want is inerent at home surely thats a basic human need these days!!!

Anyway had a splitting headache / migrane Saturday and went to mums toilet to be sick. Somehow I managed to slip, smack my head off the tiled wall, slice my arm open on the radiator and then land on my knees which started to vled in my lovely white linen trousers! After all of that I missed the toilet to actually be sick in so just layed there in a mess for a few mins, lol!!! Mum and DH come running in and was about to moan about the sick everywhere and saw I was actually hurt so didnt and mum cleaned me and floor up as DH 'dont do sick'!! Now have a lump on head, 2 scabby kness and a massive cut that has bruised black down my arm - looking back it must of looked funny though :)

Haitch have you seen anyone about SPD yet as the earlier you can get treatment the better - I have physio Wednesday when I will be 11 weeks so hoping they can help as after my fall Saturday I have been walking like I have a mess in my pants, lol!!!

MrsRigby fx crossed it was nothing and you get to have a scan to put your mind at rest, I am sure your baby bean is bouncing away in there unaware of all your stress :) Bring on the days we feel proper kicks to put our minds at rest :)

tiddleypompom · 20/08/2012 09:57

zoey that sounds horrendous! Poor you! Eye rolled at your DH though - how will he be as a birthing partner?! I was sick all over the triage nurse when we got to hospital last time, and again after DS was born (all the G&A) :o

Just started the ball rolling for my change of PCT after the move. Spoke to lovely sounding mw at Ludlow (they have 2 delivery rooms there so you have to call before each appt to make sure there is no-one giving birth as there are only 3 mws!). Am keeping fx that I can deliver there in Feb/March as each room has a birthing pool - last time was a bit medicalised (consultant care, forceps delivery) and though it was fine, I would love a more chilled out affair. IF my dear lo allows me the time to get to the hospital that is!

13 weeks today, after the scan brought my dates forward. I now don't see anyone till the 16 week appt (heartbeat doppler fx) and then the 20 week scan, which I don't have a date for as yet. Feels a bit weird not to be counting down till my scan - so instead I will count down till 3rd Sept for all yours!

Right - off to get DS up from his mega-nap. Happy days all.

theTramp · 20/08/2012 10:01

So had a scan today to check on progress of project Socrates. My hormones are off the chart, all other indicators the same. Scan showed a good heartbeat and a 9 weeks and a bit Socrates bobbing away with his giant head almost arms and little legs kicking away. So phew! Bleeding isn't indicative of anything scary so right now they're chalking it up to "whatever".

Bit peed off by admin though. No paperwork went through from GP. So 12 week scan isn't on 7 Sept as should be and as I'd thought because there's no free slots until 19 Sept. So our plans to go to Ireland to tell MrMs family now need to wait til 22nd Sept.

Also, I'm meant to be seeing a consultant for proper risk assessment cause in "high risk" bracket - again nothing. Earliest appointment being 27 Sept.

OK there's obviously a baby explosion and you can't fit everyone in on same day but seeing as I saw GP 4.5 weeks ago I'm seriously unimpressed by lack of anything apparently happening.

However, Socrates is doing well it seems and I'm ok. Well, preg symptoms aside. My nausea has been replaced by bottomless pit of hunger. Since Saturday I can honestly say that I'm consistently hungry. The whole little often does nothing - I feel like I need 4 3 course meals!

So I'm off to go buy supplies from Supermarket. Mock bacon sarnie coming soon methinks

backwardpossom · 20/08/2012 10:12

That's good news Tramp, glad you've seen Socrates and he/she is well, but what a pain about your scan date.

OP posts:
zoeymlucas · 20/08/2012 10:23

When I had op's before and had DS2 I was sick all over myself and he cleaned it up fine, I think he does it when he has too but if there is someone there or a chance I will do it he struggles. He is normally pretty good and has changed bed pans and towels after c section and stitch despite my protests that I would sort it so its more of a case of not doing if he doesnt have to but when just gets on with it when he has to! I hope you get your lovely chilled out birth, thats sounds no nice I have no chance not even in my wildest dreams
13 weeks - thats offically 2nd trimester :)
Glad your scan went well tramp and glad you now feel better and more relaxed about your little bean and hopefully that inbetween stage of not seeing people wont drag for you. I have appointments every 2 weeks min including 2 scans on the same day so feel the other way, lol!

Glad I am not the only one hungry ALL the time - however is anyone else eating a few mouthfuls feeling full to burst and then hungry again an hour later

shieldbug · 20/08/2012 10:54

Hooray for a heartbeat and a grooving bean Tramp.

Zoey that sounds awful- hope you feel better today on both the nausea and the bruises front. Dh wasn't at the birth last time, and has no intention of being at this one either; he's far too squeamish. I don't mind; I'd only worry about him if he was there and I'd rather focus on what I'm doing!

Serious sympathies to all still feeling rough. I'm getting waves of nausea but no sickness thank goodness. This is unusual for me- I normally have a cast-iron stomach and rarely feel sick, even when pg. Perhaps that means it's a different sex this time (would be a dd). ooh, or perhaps it's twins (eek).

9 weeks today.

MrsRigby · 20/08/2012 11:17

Morning everyone.

Until the dating scan tells me otherwise, I'm 9 weeks today and according to the app on my mobile the baby is the size of a grape. As for the cyst, I couldn't tell you.

Since yesterday, there's been no more orange/pink discharge. No idea what that was all about, but hopefully it won't happen again. I cannot wait until I am in the second trimester. Congratulations and massive Envy to all that are already there.

According to my pregnancy bible, in the first trimester you should gain 1-2lbs. I'm afraid I've gone the other way so far and have actually lost weight. Though not suprising as I've had diarrhoea for weeks now and since last week, anything I try to eat makes me feel sick so I'm only eating small amounts. Never had this problem with the other 3 so DH thinks this one is a girl. Aside from feeling sick when I eat, the only other pregnancy symptom I've developed is a craving for Sayers vegetarian sausage rolls.

It's dawned on me that I am a terrible mother so why I wanted another child I'll never know. You could be forgiven for thinking that DS's 1 and 2 are feral. I obviously have no control over them. I've no idea where I've gone wrong or how to turn them into nice boys. No wonder the in-laws look down on me and constantly interfere. Even the sister-in-law who can't get pregnant thinks she'd be a better mother than me. In addition to drawing on the playroom wall in crayon, they have this morning drawn on the living room floor, table and couch in inky pen.

Half the time I think the stress of screaming and smacking them is going to make me miscarry. What am I doing wrong? They've got a playroom full of toys and can watch TV whenever they want. Whilst they do watch some TV, they refuse to play in the playroom with their toys and instead spend the day running around screaming, making a mess and generally trashing the place.

pipsicles my dating scan/12 week scan is on 12th September.

sundaesundae possibly. At the early scan they said it was quite big, but I won't know more until the aforementioned scan.

tedmundo no, DH and I have not had sex since finding out I was pregnant.

shieldbug we love Marmite in this house and I brought the XO version earlier this year. To be honest, I couldn't taste any difference!

ChildOfThe1980s I'm so sorry Sad Sad Sad

bbface sorry to see you go.

zoeymlucas you poor thing, are you and baby okay?

HermioneBoo · 20/08/2012 11:18

I've just had a letter from the hospital with my blood test results, it says my blood type and the RhD- and a letter saying I'll have to have an injection at 28 weeks and after delivery, is it anything to worry about?

theTramp · 20/08/2012 11:22

Zoey - nope I'm hungry and trying to just have a little but it's not working. I had a croissant for 1st breakfast this am. A cereal bar snack pre supermarket. A cheese & black pepper toasted muffin post supermarket. And I've just eaten 4 madelain fingers. I'm already planning vegie burger & smoked cheese with broccoli soup lunch & dinner is 3 vegie sausages, a big portion of mash, loads of roasted vegies (tom, red onion, courgette etc), peas & gravy. I'm nit sure about pm snacks yet but I have yogurt & musieli.

Seriously where the heck am I putting it. Socrates is the size of a jelly baby!

Sheldonella · 20/08/2012 11:29

Just a quick one as am at work. Child I'm so sorry, take care of yourself. MrsRigby I had a few days of bleeding but my scan showed all was fine. I never did find out what caused it though. Hope you are ok. Could be urinary infection.
Hermione I'm rhesus negative too, shouldn't be anything to worry about. Just means a couple of injections usually although you might need more if you bash the bump or have any bleeding.
I'm also so so hungry all the time! Not long after eating I could eat it all again. Huge roast chicken dinner last night - hungry within an hour. I'm going to be the size of a house by the end of this :)
I'm going in search of maternity bras at lunch, wish me luck!

theTramp · 20/08/2012 11:30

Hermione - I have the day by day pregnancy book by Dr Maggie Blott published by DK. The RH issue is that if you're RH neg and baby is RH positive there can be reactionary issues which is a problem come birth. So they want to check out baby & see if they need to plan for delivery. There's lots online on NHS site about this too.

MrsR - you're not a bad Mum, you're tired, you're emotional & you're having a wail at the fates moment. Just remind your boys whose boss (you) and explain that bad behaviour = no treats. If naughty there's no TV. Dinner is as you made it & there's no pudding unless eaten. They'll wail, moan & push back at ya cause they're kids & that's what kids do but ultimately they k ow you're boss and they know what Mumsays goes. You can't blame them for boundary pushing though, partic if Mums looking a bit easier game at mo.

And new baby is gonna love their two big brothers.

ATourchOfInsanity · 20/08/2012 12:21

MrsR anyone local you could grab for a picnic in the park with the boys free to play and give you time to chat and relax? Sometimes being out saves a lot of mess and hard work later when they are in bed, I find!

Sorry to hear such sad news bb

Lexiindisguise · 20/08/2012 12:31

Zoey you poor thing, migraines are awful & we can't take anything for them! Hope no lasting damage.
Tramp so glad to hear that Socrates is doing well!

Just had 12 week scan, bean most unco-operative, much jiggling around and stomach poking to stop it doing handstands. Bang on with dates at 12+1 and a due date of 03/03/13. Had the NT test so need to wait for the bloods but nuchal fold was 1.4mm and everything else looks 'completely normal for this stage'. Am resolved to relax a bit and try to enjoy this pregnanc y now - though still concerned I have put on too much weight, a good couple of kilos already :-/

zoeymlucas · 20/08/2012 12:32

MrsR kids are crafty little devils and know when mum is off colour and when they can therefore push the rules and boundries and get away with more its just the way it is nothing to do with your parenting skills. Can you take them out like to an indoor play centre to burn off some energy? I would ban pens they dont get any again till they prove they can be trusted so remove every single one and only allow washable pencils and explain why they have been demoted.
Yeah baby and I are fine I am just clumsy and looking back would of been like a cartoon with me slipping then bouncing down the wall into a heap, lol!!

I am not brave enough to weigh myself right now as not sure I would like the results - however I think my boobs would account for alot have gone from a C cup to an E already and they are so bloody hot and hard/heavy its stupid - DH was amazed then clicked they are sore so it will be under pain of death he touches them Confused
Being RH neg and postitve is only a problem if they dont pick it up and then can be bad for baby if its known about then the injections sort that and its fine so dont panic as they have clearly found is SUPER early Smile

zoeymlucas · 20/08/2012 12:34

OOOh congrats on your scan lexi glad you got to see an healthy active little bean :)

Lexiindisguise · 20/08/2012 12:37

Thanks zoey I feel your pain with the boobs, literally!
MrsR I have no children so don't feel I can advise but I am sure you are a great Mum, it sounds like your LO's have all they could want. Don't be so hard on yourself.

newyearsday · 20/08/2012 13:11

lexi scan buddy, glad all went well!

I had my scan this morning and everything looked healthy incl. nuchal measurement. My EDD has moved to 28/2/13 but i know I'm 12+1 today because I charted, so we're telling everyone it's due early March. Much more wriggly than DS at 12wks!

I've been away for the weekend so 4 pages of news to catch up on but it'll have to wait, DS is having his lunchtime nap and I'm desperate for a lie down....zzzzzzz

Lexiindisguise · 20/08/2012 13:43

Hey newyearsday I was wondering how you were getting on! We are not only scan buddies, but due date buddies too :) Glad to hear all went well and hooray for wiggly beans!

tiddleypompom · 20/08/2012 13:52

Hoooraaay for lexi & newyears beans! Terrific news guys :) nice due dates too!

DS late for his lunchtime nap but going to bed as soooon as he is asleep....

MrsRigby · 20/08/2012 13:54

hermioneboo nothing to worry about. I'm RhD negative too. The injection they give you just stops your antibodies from attacking and killing the baby

theTramp · 20/08/2012 13:54

What fab scan news ladies.
