sorry guys- but WHAT is going on with my nipples :(
they have both been hard for days, with dry skin- ive been mostirising so im hoping its getting better..
however
left nipple clearly didnt get the memo and is now erect by itsself.. im irrationally angry about this Hmm

pmgkt · 03/08/2012 15:27

Something very strange happened last night, I woke myself up punching my stomach. Piglet had been very active all day so wonder if it had been moving and in my sleep that was the natural reaction? Been moving today but more subdued so maybe its a fast learner. Very weird.

gilsbubbles · 03/08/2012 16:15

MAT 1B form handed in to work so all the official stuff done.now I can begin the countdown.....15 weeks of work left aaaaaahhhhhh

Bubbless · 03/08/2012 16:39

when does the MAT1b form have to be handed into work?!
..i think i lost mine..

itsMYNutella · 03/08/2012 16:45

Well done gils very organised of you!

Congratulations utopian, another boy! Goodness, they are doing well :) I wonder what the split will be in the end.

pmgkt you're a harsh mummy!Wink Oh dear, I'm sure it's nothing serious, and I bet you're not the first!

Bubbless on the bright side erect nipples are not a massive hardship :)

Well, what's new with me... Last week, great deep sleep up until about Tuesday this week. Also accompanied by napping uncontrollably in the afternoon after lunch- I would suddenly be snatched by sleep for a good hour to hour & a 1/2...

All change, crappy sleep and no nap... Although I don't feel that tired. Bonkers!

MyDaydream · 03/08/2012 16:55

gils I've been having vivid dreams since the very start of my pregnancy, it makes me exhausted because I feel like my brain hasn't stopped all night.
Bubbless glad to hear your better. I think our nipples are there for a bit of extra confusion, mine seem to change daily.
I'm a bit jealous of everyone who's going to the Olympics, I have no interest in sport ever but for some reason I'm glued. They'll say "we have to break now for the news" and I've not even realised 4 hours has gone by.

DP came home with flowers last night, I got really upset after I'd posted saying I was on the sofa and woke him up, apparently he felt really guilty at work the next day for not waking up properly to find out what was wrong!

Bubbless · 03/08/2012 17:23

id like to know what they are doing... most odd! aha.

whoever suggested braxton hicks, i looked into it and im pretty sure thats what i had... im not cut out for labour...

daydream thats really sweet of your DP to have got you flowers! im the same with the olympics! even tried to get tickets today.... after 3 hours i gave up Hmm

nutella our bodies have a mind of their own! saving grace? eventually youll be so tired youll get to go back to your other sleeping habits - which are much more rewarding!!

ellliebelle · 03/08/2012 17:26

Just had a quick catch up so hard to keep up congrats on the boy utopian and welcome to state im sure someone else had scan today hope it went well. Cant believe mine is on tues :) ive been moaning for ages that i had so long to wait and now its nearly here :) i dont know what to do with myself tonight the dd's are still away and dh is going for a drink after work so im feeling a bit lost

HoneyMum21 · 03/08/2012 17:47

Congrats Utopian.

I'm utterly exhausted me and mum went to york for a day out - we used to be able to do a whole day and not come home until the 6pm train. We were back on the train at 3.30 completely exhausted!

On a brighter note, we popped in to john lewis yesterday to see if they had any update on our pram and it's ready for us at the warehouse Grin so excited!

Bubbless · 03/08/2012 17:55

honey sounds like a good, albeit shorter, day!
and v. exciting news about pram, which one have you got?!

HoneyMum21 · 03/08/2012 17:58

it's the icandy strawberry, but they were having major distribution problems so we were told we might have to look at something else. we're really relieved!

Bubbless · 03/08/2012 18:00

icandy seem to be horrific with distribution?!?!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 03/08/2012 18:05

Those who are trying for Olympic tickets have you looked into Paralympic ones instead? We're going to see the paralympic athletics at the beginning of sept with the kids! It was £75 for 2 adults 2 kids and an oap. (£30 adults £5 the rest)

Well tadpole is still fidgeting after I had a slight panic last night because evenings is normally an active time but it was all quiet in there last night after zumba so I started irrationally worrying. Today the movement has been pretty constant so I should def stop worrying!

I hope all the scans went well today. Sorry if I've missed anything!

HoneyMum21 · 03/08/2012 18:14

Stacey - i've been quite worried over the past couple of days as bump's movements have been a lot less frequent - hardly any compared with the past week or so. But i've been looking and apparently at this point they can still be quite erratic and not necessarily follow the same pattern all the time., But glad you've had the reassurance of lots of movement today :)

Anyone else found that they are quickly losing the power of thought? I can barely keep a single thought going in a straight line at the min! (so apologies for me rambling!)

SpottyTeacakes · 03/08/2012 18:19

Please please please give me your tried and tested remedies for constipation Blush Sad

HoneyMum21 · 03/08/2012 18:34

Spotty - i find downing a glass of really cold water as soon as i wake up helps. Or hot water with lemon. Dunno why, but either really hot or ice cold does the trick (someltimes. Sometimes nothing will shift it!)

MyDaydream · 03/08/2012 19:28

Spotty sometimes having a long bath helps me.

Bellaboo123 · 03/08/2012 19:44

Prune juice and loads of it! Allbran also helps me - a really big bowl of it!

Congrats on all the scan news...were getting through the 20 weeks ones!

I'm off to a spa for my birthday tomorrow for the night. Can't wait to relax and I've got some pregnancy treatments booked - ahhhh bliss! Looking forward to some quality time with dp Smile

Enjoy your weekends xxx

SpottyTeacakes · 03/08/2012 19:48

Thanks for the advice. Hot drinks and baths don't seem to be doing the trick and I don't like milk so bran is tricky. Will prune juice make me want to vom?!

Willyoudothefandango · 03/08/2012 19:56

Hello everyone, glad all the scans went well and welcome to the newbies!

Spotty I like prune juice normally, it's quite a treacley taste, but the thick consistency is not doing it for me at the moment and I've thrown up every glass I've drunk this pregnancy black sick You could try prunes in syrup, both the prunes and the syrup are laxatives, so double the power Grin

Willyoudothefandango · 03/08/2012 19:57

Oh but are you diabetic Spotty ? if so the syrup may be out!

SpottyTeacakes · 03/08/2012 19:59

Yes stupid diabetes. Might have to go to the doctors but I hate Lactulose!

Willyoudothefandango · 03/08/2012 20:03

you could try dried prunes?

SpottyTeacakes · 03/08/2012 20:04

Good idea are they like giant raisins Confused

Willyoudothefandango · 03/08/2012 20:07

Yep, get de-stoned ones though! I have the type of IBS where you are always constipated so I've found that pregnancy has reversed that and I'm much better than normal
