sorry to be such a nube, but how do you know where your placenta is?? anterior or not. Does it say on your notes?

PrunellaDeVille · 16/08/2012 11:06

it's on my scan notes - the print off they gave me at 20 weeks i think, in the top right of all the info

Just back from scan and all is well. I got some pics but not that great as bubs is camera shy Blush. I have a low placenta anterior so need another scan at 32 weeks but she's said she pretty sure it will be fine and it's more of a precaution as other hospitals might not even consider it low. We didn't find out what we are having so we are team yellow. Forgot to ask about the thirst thing but I'm sure we are all ok and it's normal as we seem to all have it. Feel like going baby shipping now Grin

emilyeggs · 16/08/2012 12:09

Welcome newiem. We will soon need another thread!

SpottyTeacakes · 16/08/2012 12:30

Great news emily and an extra scan to look forward to Grin

minipie · 16/08/2012 13:06

judrops I have an anterior placenta and also getting really erratic movements/kicks - loads one day then v little the next. it's frustrating as I can't really do the "count the kicks" like we're supposed to.

mine is high anterior and at the 20 week scan DD's head was low and feet were high, so I guess she is often kicking the placenta, hence I'm not feeling it.

emily my pics were a bit rubbish too - DD had her hands over her face a lot!

JoJoB77 · 16/08/2012 13:13

Hi all & welcome new ladies Grin

All good here, not much to report other than feeling so tired after only doing two days a week at work. Im not sure howi'll cope by oct/nov.

We've ordered our pushchair. Gone for the iCandy Peach Blossom, the shop assistant assured me it will be here in time Confused

I have an anterior high placenta & i have the same erratic movements like Spotty. At the scan baby was spread out belly down in a transverse position which i think he or she must like as i can sometimes feel jolts either side of my belly. But then i feel little prods right down near my pubic bone.

Congrats on a good scan Emily Smile we're team yellow too. Im getting excited to meet baby now tho Grin

JoJoB77 · 16/08/2012 13:14

Sorry got a bit mixed up there, meant to say i have same erratic movements as Minipie Blush

SpottyTeacakes · 16/08/2012 13:23

Grin my placenta is anterior high too. Ds is head down though I'm getting lots of movement and kicks now

JoJoB77 · 16/08/2012 13:43

Ahh i really should read properly before i post BlushGrin

I cant believe how fast this thread has moved!

Bubbless · 16/08/2012 15:48

anyone else having seriously disturbing baby dreams?
last night i dreamed that i gave birth to a fully sized toddler, and then they took her away and i couldnt see her.. for like.. ever?!
was horrid!

im still not feeling movement regularly so not counting kicks yet, but all of my movement feels like its only mm's above my pubic bone, like under my bump and just above my pube line.. is this normal?!

welcome newbies!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 16/08/2012 16:01

Bubbless if your baby is breech ATM you will get lots of low movement.

Jus I have a 7 yo dd and 5 yo ds :)

itsMYNutella · 16/08/2012 16:55

I get similar low poking too Bubbless especially if I'm leaning forward... I wonder if it's the bean trying to tell me that the waistband of the trousers are restricting their play space :)

Stacey I wish I could see (let alone understand) how bean is positioned... at the last scan it had both arms and legs by it's face Hmm Envy

minipie · 16/08/2012 17:06

Nutella I too notice more kicking/poking if bump is leaning against something, eg my desk at work.

I have also just realised I've been having Braxton Hicks! I had noticed bump getting hard in places sometimes, thought it might be the bean pushing outwards Blush but now realise it's BH.

Cookiesandcream06 · 16/08/2012 17:07

bubbles and nutella all my main movements are down really low, legs must be down there and think I may have seen a 'head' lump just above belly button but I could be imagining it.

Oh and I don't know exactly what I've put on but I think about 7 kilos since 8 week app, but I had put on nearly 2 stone since I had last weighed myself pre pregnancy. And MW was funny about having a BMI of 30 when I booked in and it's haunted me ever since I was so upset

Cookiesandcream06 · 16/08/2012 17:10

Oh and judrops I already have one DD who's 3. She's very excited to be having a baby sister Smile

utopian99 · 16/08/2012 17:13

nutella am going to suggest DH presses against the bump to see if that encourages him. I feel loads these days, but he seems to be most active between about 10am-12, and 3-5pm, which is a bummer for DH as we're both at work in the week and racing about all weekend..

Have had annual leave approved for 27th-31st august though! whoop for last civilised holiday for some time. No idea where to go as what with house and my 30th and impending £1k of baby stuff I have NIL cash. It may be Wales at this rate, but I won't care. Grin

Have just had a sneaky peek at the August due dates thread for those who've had theirs.. argh! foolish girl. (This is my first; I'm fully terrified of labout and the aftermath.)

utopian99 · 16/08/2012 17:13

whoops, labour. too alarmed to type properly.

xjudropsx · 16/08/2012 17:15

Yeah i feel movements right down low too and baby is defo breech, wish it would move as very uncomfy!1

Have serious trapped wind today too,my tummy is killing and excuse me but farting is not helping at all,any tips?
bmi of 30 is not that bad is it?

Glad all went well with scan Emily,i too had crap 20 week scan pics as baby was in breech position with head on side

Anyway got friends round tonight for takeawy curry, yum, hopefully that will shift my wind lol

Talk soon xx

emilyeggs · 16/08/2012 17:19

So looking forward to all our baby pics in December Smile still doesn't feel real sometimes

emilyeggs · 16/08/2012 17:20

utopian do I fear look at aug thread ? Also my first but maybe ignorance isn't bliss after all

utopian99 · 16/08/2012 17:24

I wanted to know.. there's no avoiding it, after all, but you have been warned. Sure it will be worth it in the long run though!

pmgkt · 16/08/2012 18:00

Kate i think I am last scan on 21st, only a few more days left. Then we will have to get the boy girl surprise tally sorted.

Bellaboo123 · 16/08/2012 18:02

Like u say it's going to happen and we need to know!!!

Bellaboo123 · 16/08/2012 18:09

Oh and hello new ladies!

Nothing exciting to report here...work is manic but I'm just trying not to let it get to me!

Little lady is kicking away happily and I seem to be feeling ok.
