Hello - finally joining this thread after lurking forever. I'm 40, and after an early MC last year, thought I would never get another BFP. It finally happened, after a nice holiday, while the GP was doing busy referring us for infertility investigations...

Hello all,scan was perfect! Was in tears lying on the bed (always brings bk the mmc memory :( ) but t lady doing it was lovely,let me have a quick look at baby before starting the checks. Bub was fast asleep (typical!) n was hugging the cord so she cudnt do the cord check,tried everything.went to the loo,off to empty bladder,lots of jabs,hanging off t bed,even got sent away to eat choc! But naughty baby slept through (please b a sign!!!) but then bub let it go so we got t final check,so happy!!!...x

pgmt on what basis was your request denied? Do you really want to appeal if so and if there is a reasonable chance of success on appeal it is probably worth it. Sorry to hear it didn't go as you had hoped.

didnt move for chocolate?!? miine goes crazy if i eat a mint! pleased all is well though. My friend aske if he mainly moves at night cos hers did and she said it was a bugger to get him to sleep when he arrived.

on a separate note there seems to be a mushroom growing out the overflow of my kitchen sink and ive come over all girly and the thought of touching it sends shivers....

This is probably a bit daft and I know there's no real rule on what should happen, but I'm a bit worried that I haven't put any weight on yet. I'm 17+2 and pretty much exactly the same as before I was pregnant.

I didn't feel sick so didn't lose weight at that stage like some women do. I've been eating normally, a little less healthy than before overall. A couple of days it looked like I was beginning to show a proper bump but that seems to have gone and I'm back to just looking a bit flabby round my middle.

I'm sure it's all fine, and I'm partly worried because I'm still in this weird limbo stage of overall feeling mostly ok but not yet feeling the baby move. The irrational bit of me is worrying though that I haven't got bigger because the baby has stopped growing.

I was the same. I'm 20+4 and haven't put any weight on until this week (even then it's only a pound and a half). At my 20 week scan they said that baby was measuring exactly right for my dates

I didn't have any of the sickness either but have had the complete opposite of the dreaded pregnancy constipation... As harsh as it sounds, your baby is like a parasite - it uses all your resources to ensure that it is fine and growing well, no matter what that does to you. I have plenty of resources to use so I think it's been using them instead of me putting on weight - I'm not going to complain!!!

Brug last time round I did not show at all until 20 weeks and only started to put on weight then (20+ ish).

congratulations on all of the positive scans.

I've not been weighing myself so no idea how much I've put on. My belly is sticking out already and my boobs are huge so it must be a bit. Probably all the junk food I've been eating as too tired to cook.

Squealy I know how you feel and I have to write my dissertation by December, but I have suddenly lost all motivation to do it. My actual paid job is taking a distant third place...

I am going camping this weekend, wish me luck with the weather!

Ladies, I have updated the list having removed myself.
My waters broke at 18 weeks but baby held on. At 19 weeks the cord prolapsed and I was rushed into hospital. Baby held on. Sadly, the following morning our little boy passed away. We have named him and we are laying him to rest next week.
I hope for all of you, that the remainder of your pregnancies are uneventful. Please give your little ones a kiss from me when you meet them, they are so precious. Xxxx

eleda i'm so very sorry. You're very brave for telling us all, that must have been a hard post to write.

I hope you are getting enough hugs and support.

He must have been a little fighter to hold on like that, i'm sure he'll have got that from his parents.

We'll all hug our babies that little bit closer because of you.x
