Good luck for your scan tomoro Friendof, im sure all will be absolutely fine. Hope you feel mych better tomoro after a good nights sleep Smile

Hope all goes well at work tomoro too Willyou Smile

Well ive just finished watching the midwives under pressure program on bbc2. Anyone else see it? Much more real than one born every minute. Made me cry & bought back lots of memories of DD 's birth!

EggsMichelle · 31/07/2012 22:30

Congratulations Cod, she definitely will be protected with all those big brothers!

Had an odd encounter with the cat today, he has always been very cuddly and affectionate with me, but not overly vocal. This evening he lay down on my legs, head rested on my belly and purred his little heart out, was lovely and relaxing. DH thinks the purrs are good for Shrimpy as well, who didn't wriggle once!

Oh and not pooed properly since Saturday, I'm growing a poo baby too!

cherrypiew3 · 31/07/2012 22:41

COD Congratulations Smile

Friend good luck with your scan tomorrow.

After finding out we are having a little girl yesterday I have already brought 2 pink outfits, my mum called later on and said she is going shopping tomorrow and what size clothes would I like her to buy.Grin

Is anybody finding that the are really hungry late at night I don't want to go bed hungry but its very late to eat anything.

EggsMichelle · 01/08/2012 04:49

Kick boxing practice on my organs at 3am is not an acceptable pass time!

itsMYNutella · 01/08/2012 08:22

I hope you could get some more sleep Eggs! I'm sad not to be feeling that much movement yet but also glad to enjoy a long nights sleep :)

Anyone else find their nights seem to alternate between light and not great and then suddenly really deep, good sleep? Last week I didn't sleep great but this week I hit the pillow and I'm gone until it's time to get up to pee in the morning.

cherry I often have a banana or a yog before going to bed when I'm hungry. I tried going to bed a little bit hungry once = bad idea! Had an awful night! One other good snack is peanut butter on some toast/bread or on a spoon with my banana :o

Hope those feeling bloated are better today and good luck Willyou at work.

SpottyTeacakes · 01/08/2012 08:24

Yes Nutella I feel exhausted today. Couldn't get to sleep god ages.

An also growing a poo baby Blush

Good luck today willyou I'm sure it will be fine

Clarella · 01/08/2012 09:11

Good luck friend, and will you thinking of you! Any other scans, today?

Wow congratulations COD amazing news! She's a very lucky girl to have all those bros to look after her!

Congratulations lauraloo, love that name! Nice to hear from you had thought id not seen anything by the Scottish karate lady for a while :) sorry to hear about your pelvic pain.

Hope Dd is ok jojo, head knocks are so scary.

By the way was cakebump getting married around now? Hope all is well cake!

Can I or can't I eat parma ham, I thought yes, but DH says no....

PrunellaDeVille · 01/08/2012 09:12

had an awful night of worrying (although when i did get to sleep i dreamt i met my LO Smile), while lying on my back talking to DH i had HUGE sudden pain in my lower right belly, it subsided within a minute after DH rolled me over onto my left. This morning i'm struggling to stand up straight with a dull pain in the same position.
Any ideas? sound familiar to anyone?

Clarella · 01/08/2012 09:20

Ooh not sure prune. I seem to get s lot more muscle pains that side. I know the big vein is on that side but wouldn't have thought a pain issue. Can't remember how gut goes but a possibility? Gut pain can be pretty nasty. Any appendix pain would be constant. Do you still have it?

JoJoB77 · 01/08/2012 09:22

Im not sure Prunella? Could the baby have pressed on a particular nerve maybe? I'm not sure how much pain that would cause tho? If it were me i'd see how this morning goes and if no better call the midwife & see what she thinks. Always best to get checked if you are worried Smile

DD is much better thanks Clarella Smile back to her usual loud self Grin

Clarella · 01/08/2012 09:28

Bollocks think my putting the kettle in the fridge has been putting parma ham in my mouth. Confused with stilton. Notpanickingstillkicking :)

PrunellaDeVille · 01/08/2012 09:34

dull pain still there, will call MW if it persists.
I was v. gassy last night Blush maybe that would be connected

Clarella · 01/08/2012 10:07

Embarrassed to say I had such extreme wind pain at around 15 weeks unlike any I've ever had before as it came on very low and felt like period pain but in waves and then got so bad I called nhs direct later that night. It lasted much longer than.usual wind pain too. That's when I started taking gaviscon! But I agree speak to mw if doesn't subside. Hope you feel better soon x

minipie · 01/08/2012 11:45

Just had scan, confirmed a girl! All ok and normal. Though slight oddity our umbilical cord has only 2 vessels not 3. Apparently this happens in a few cases, and is usually not a problem but occasionally can cause growth issues, so Ill have further scans at 28 and 36 weeks.

So, a qualified yay!

friend hope yours was/is all ok.

pru hope your pain does turn out to be just wind ...

clarella parma ham is allowed! according to NHS site anyway.

cherry my mum's been buying stuff too! I actually had to hint that she should stop as she was going a bit mad Grin

HoneyMum21 · 01/08/2012 11:49

Congrats mini :)

SpottyTeacakes · 01/08/2012 11:57

Congrats mini now off to IKEA you go!

SeymoreInOz · 01/08/2012 12:07

Congratulations on all the lovely scan news and team pinks and blues!

I agree about breastpumps... wait before you buy. DD rejected every brand of bottle and was exclusively breastfed. I had a crappy hand pump that I struggled to use but didn't really need. DS on the other hand was a nightmare to breastfeed and loved the bottle. I had to pump several times a day and was so glad I invested in the brilliant medela swing. If I need a pump this time I'll get another one of those!

I had a dream the other night that someone (can't remember who) handed me a bit of a paper that read "you're having a girl"

Willyoudothefandango · 01/08/2012 12:14

Congrats Mini enjoy your Ikea trip!

Prunella it could be ligament pain but best to get it checked out just in case of a UTI or something.

Ladies with wind, invest in some deflatine. It is your friend! Wind can make you feel like you're dying at the best of times never mind when all your organs are cramped around a bambino.

I told work, my boss had guessed. She said there's only so many smocks you can wear before people get suspicious! All that worrying for nothing. Smile I can now spread the word, yippee!

Good luck to all you ladies still awaiting scans.

JoJoB77 · 01/08/2012 12:19

Congrats Mini Grin

Glad all went well at work Willyou Smile

Well DD is down for her nap so im demolishing a pitta filled with tuna yum yum. I think i have a slight craving for tuna but have to limit it boo Sad

MyDaydream · 01/08/2012 12:59

I find having a hot drink before bed fills me up a little so I can get to sleep. I am suffering massive hunger late at night, but I'm struggling to eat dinner. I find it fills me up if I eat lots and just makes me too uncomfortable, so I'm snacking all day now instead.
Congrats minipie!

SpottyTeacakes · 01/08/2012 12:59

willyou glad it went well Smile

If I'm not going to go back to work after ML should I tell them when I finish? I know legally I don't have to but I feel I should? I suppose then I definitely won't get my Christmas bonus..... Maybe tell them in the new year?

Maazaa · 01/08/2012 13:26

Prunella - is/was the pain close to your hip but in the flesh bit? I had this when I stood up and couldn't sit back down - I'm wondering if it was like a ligament muscle pain?

Also ladies, is anyone's hair coming out more than usual? Brushed it and counted 15-20, which seemed a lot! Will I be a bald mummy?!?!?

Bubbless · 01/08/2012 13:29

eggs im glad im not the only one with two babies inside me one made of poo eurgh, no amounts of fruit is making my body get moving!!

nutella yeah, all of last week i slept like a log, it was lovley, this week i think ive had about an hours sleep in total or at least, it feels like it and im feeling exhausted constantly!!

mini glad everything is okay, keep posative about the growth thing.. it means you get to see your little bean two more times!!

spotty im going to leave telling work im not going back after maternity until like.. a month before? because otherwise i think they can ask for some of the money back you got whilst on maternity?!
..... although i may be making that up Hmm

Willyoudothefandango · 01/08/2012 13:30

Spotty it depends if you will only get statutory mat pay. If so you don't have to tell them. If you get more then you'll have to pay it back if you don't go back.

Maybe leave it and see how you feel, if they're not nice to you between now and then you won't feel as guilty. Not that you owe them anything, but it's hard not to feel guilty over this sort of stuff isn't it?

MyDaydream · 01/08/2012 13:33

Spotty I'm going to tell them as late as possible, but I also won't be making lots of "when I'm back at work" conversations so it shouldn't be much of a suprise. My worry at the moment is that they're going to try get rid of me before that since I've not spoken to them for over a week now, just leaving messages saying "yeah still signed off". I just panic whenever they call, can't think what to say and just can't bring myself to answer it.

Maazaa I think we grow extra hairs during pregnancy, so might be why it seems to be falling out. I'm noticing it too though.
