Hi everyone!

I think I did this correctly! Eeeek! Probably not Blush I think we still have a few messages to go on the old one, so it's here for when we're ready :)

SpottyTeacakes · 30/07/2012 12:32

Amazing pic WeeJo!

Sounds like you had fun Clarella Gosh, Landrover pushchairs?! Love the sound of the blanket :)

4Mrs do you mind me asking why they're inducing you?

WeeJo08 · 30/07/2012 12:34

Thank you elliebelle for adding my flavour to the December Stats list Grin Because I am a geek I have worked out that so far we have 53 December ladies (I have counted4MrsCoyle but you will have to add yourself to the list - it's here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/1496159-Due-in-Dec-2012-stats-list) The boy/girl/surprise split is:

8 baby boys
6 baby girls
5 baby surprises

Exciting! Grin

Don't mind at all. I had SPD in my last two pregnancies and was induced at 38 weeks so baby couldn't cause too much damage (they were 7lb15 and 7lb13). But during my last pregnancy I had a bad fall and now have prolapsed discs in my back, which (apparently) would cause more damage to me than SPD, which thankfully hasn't developed lol I was actually worried because all my babies were induced and I kinda freaked out at the thought of spotting "real" labour!!

Clarella · 30/07/2012 12:46

Welcome 4mrs!

Bollocks. Discontinued in 2002. (landrover)

They've evolved into city joggers and possibly Phil n teds. Looked so good!

Willyoudothefandango · 30/07/2012 12:51

Bubless I told the midwife I couldn't feel anything and she told me I had an anterior placenta. I don't know if there's a way to tell from looking at your scan as I'm a rookie!

Willyoudothefandango · 30/07/2012 12:56

And welcome 4Mrs Smile

4MrsCoyle5 · 30/07/2012 13:03

Thank you!

CODwidow · 30/07/2012 14:00

4mrs also number 5 for me Grin

Bubbless · 30/07/2012 14:20

willy sometimes i feel something like a fart that doesnt actually.. fart?! which is how people have been describing the baby, but i know this sounds stupid i dont know if im feeling it against the outside wall of my stomach or more inside?!

2blessed · 30/07/2012 14:28

Hi ladies,
Not been on for ages and feel like I've missed so much. Good luck for all the scans happening today. I've added myself to the stats list. Nothing much to report really. Had a great weekend, danced my arse off at a house party on saturday night. Didn't get in until nearly 5 sunday morning and of course there was the fantastic opening ceremony on Friday night. Really pleased that there don't seem to be any Olympic related problems on my route (well actually most of my colleagues) to work and I can still get a seat. Lets see what happens at hometime...

SpottyTeacakes · 30/07/2012 14:52

That sounds painful 4Mrs pleased you have escaped SPD so far :)

Wow 2blessed what a busy weekend, definitely sounds like you had fun though!

Clarella · 30/07/2012 15:15

Ahh lovely catching up on scan news, very pleased for you :)

Good luck with scan COD :)

We've had the offer of a silver cross 3d travel system for 100 quid, anyone know if any good? Prob going to get an additional longer lasting car seat and then something more rugged like a Phil n teds at later date (still prob second hand if poss) 100 seems a lot for 2nd hand but wondered if a good lightweight starter one? (Prob should post in pram section!)

I lusted after the bike trailers at womad...

cherrypiew3 · 30/07/2012 15:39

Had my scan this morning and baby is doing well and we are having a little girl so one more for team pink here, very happy and excited now. My scan picture is not very good DH is a bit disappointed with it so glad I am having them extra scans just so I can get another pic.

Welcome 4mrsSmile

4MrsCoyle5 · 30/07/2012 15:54

It is painful but very handy when I want DH to do some housework lol cod do you find sometimes you forget you're actually pregnant?? Might just be me, but running around all day it's not until I relax in the evening and feel him (my last three were boys so...) move that I remember lol cherrypie thank you - I'm booking in for my next scan 31st August, getting very impatient!!
I noticed a lot of people talking about buying stuff and considering secondhand. I joined Freecycle, where people give their stuff away instead of sell it. Unfortunatly I gave away all my baby stuff (buggy, pram, bath, steriliser etc) on it because I thought the last was the last....

Cookiesandcream06 · 30/07/2012 15:56

Yey congratulations cherry Smile although my scan pics were absolutely crap as well. There is one which is a face shot but that is the only one worth printing!!

Welcome mrs Smile

I don't have any knowledge sorry clarella
But if something is in great condition I would be inclined to say go for it! You could always sell it on if you didn't like it?

Cookiesandcream06 · 30/07/2012 16:03

Oh bubbles I was going by the centiles on the measurements. Eg all other measurements were 50-75th and the head was like 10th?! my actual scan pics were too rubbish to really say a lot. But I know I'm just being silly, there's 19 weeks left for babba to grow in there! I wouldn't worry Smile
Oh and I looked at the Mutsy Evo in a shop in Bournemouth? They were really helpful and its been ordered and paid for and they're keeping it til we need it. Don't know how far that is from you? Are you nearer London way? Have you been on the website and looked up stockists? I compared it to the Vista which is £200 more and there weren't any differences for me-I'm really pleased with it. I have no experience of a Sola, I think they look nice Smile, but I had a mamas and papas pram last time and I didn't end up liking it (one of those personal things I guess, eg I don't like Bugaboos at all but everyone else I speak to raves about them!)

Willyoudothefandango · 30/07/2012 16:14

Haha Bubbless I haven't even felt that all my farts turn out to be farts

Mw described my placenta as a duvet between me and the baby. Oh well I'll feel him soon enough when he's kicking the crap out of my ribs no doubt!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 30/07/2012 16:25

willyou on the print out from my 12 wk scan there was a line that said : placenta : posterior which means at the back (I think) maybe have a look and see if yours does. From the midwife saying its like a duvet between you and baby I'd hazard a guess you have an anterior placenta which is at the front.

Willyoudothefandango · 30/07/2012 16:31

Hi Stacey mw told me it's definitely anterior (and too low) but Bubbless was wondering if there was a way to tell. So now we know Smile

NaomiRuth · 30/07/2012 16:32

Congratulations on the recent scans. Hope everyone is having a good Monday.
I've taken the day off work to have a rest, sooo lovely. Went to a body balance class this morning and feel great, can't believe how things have changed!

I popped into mothercare and bought their wedge support cushion (£9.99) and it's brilliant for sitting on the sofa and keeping a better posture. Will try it tonight in bed too as have been struggling. Also had a good browse at cots and baby gros, but was very good!

Whoever was asking about reusable nappies, I'm planning to try them. This website is quite good. Also some councils give you money as an incentive, think East Herts gives £40 where I am. I've got advice to buy a few different types and try on baby when they arrive rather then buying a full set in advance. Some types fit certain babies better and some leak more apparently!

HoneyMum21 · 30/07/2012 17:51

How do you find out the centiles from the scan? I've looked at my scan report and can't make head or tail of the numbers!

CODwidow · 30/07/2012 17:54

Woah!!!!!!! It's a girl!!!! After 4 ds's I am in shock Grin

mrs all the time, I sit at the end of the day or catch site of myself in the mirror and remember Grin

ellliebelle · 30/07/2012 17:57

HoneyMum21 · 30/07/2012 17:57
