Hi everyone!

I think I did this correctly! Eeeek! Probably not Blush I think we still have a few messages to go on the old one, so it's here for when we're ready :)

Oh I need more muslins too, they go mouldy if you leave them in the machine too long before washing them Blush

Well writing the list is almost as exciting as buying it, it first cost you anything and you can keep rewriting it in your bestest handwriting Grin

mwahmwah · 29/07/2012 20:22

I'm defo team i-candy. My Peach is by far the best £700 I've ever spent, DS is 22 months and I've only just moved him into a really lightweight pushchair (micralight superlight) so it was well worth the money. I just loved the admiring looks and murmurs when I pushed ds in his i-candy and I had loads of lovely comments about it.
Apart from the fact that it is super-gorgeous, the carrycot is big and comfy (and suitable for lo to sleep in overnight if you don't want a moses basket), it has a massive basket for carrying baby-related junk, the actual seat bit goes parent facing or out facing whichever you choose, and the extendable handle is great.
I also recommend buying the cosy toes which zips into the seat and is very cosy whilst also stopping the chair getting marked with grubby little fingers and shoes when they're old enough! Nice and easy to unzip and wash in the machine :)

Willyoudothefandango · 29/07/2012 20:29

spotty are you inside my head? The satisfaction of a beautifully handwritten list, all ripe for the ticking.

I may drag DP for a play with some prams. Very sad!

CODwidow · 29/07/2012 20:31

Oh no it's ok just went and had another look at my pram at my mums house and still love it Grin

Barbeasty · 29/07/2012 20:37

Pmgkt, that sounds good. Just looking for somewhere to eat on the way back and will have DD so nothing too posh!

itsMYNutella · 29/07/2012 20:45

It seems like the pram selection here is quite different to that in the UK which seems odd since I'm not that far away (1000km... isn't that far Hmm)
But I'll still be popping over to the pram board for advice :o

On another note just felt bean move :) funny sort of digestion/wind feeling but can't be, because like someone else already said the feeling didn't "move along" if you know what I mean Wink good to know you're still there bean and it isn't just new layers of Nutella flab!

ellliebelle · 29/07/2012 20:59

Glad to hear everyone has had nice weekends :) i havent done much really and me and dh arent getting on so well so bit of a miserable one really although just had a yummy chinese so feeling a bit better :)

I currently have a few lists on the go :) one of things to buy which wasnt long to start with and is getting shorter by the day as i think ill be getting a lot of bits on ebay. Tbe other is names which also seems to be getting shorter as dh veto's more and more

Willyoudothefandango · 29/07/2012 21:01

Aw im so looking forward to feeling movements.

Ooh nutella, I refuse to buy it now after I was too
Morning sick to eat it and when I was over it found DP had put the jar back empty. How I didn't throw it at him I'll never know!

Willyoudothefandango · 29/07/2012 21:03

The name thing is awful Ellie our list consisted of one boys name and a close friend has just used it. We're still weighing up if we still will.

Sorry to hear about your crappy weekend, hope it picks up soon.

monsterchild · 29/07/2012 21:04

We haven't really begun buying anything. partly because it just seems early (I am only 18+2) and because my Dsis gave us quite a lot of things already that we have to go through and see what we need.

I am also not sure I am feeling any movement, but sometimes I feel some weird gas pains that could be kidlet. I've been told I have an anterior placenta so should not expect to feel kiddo early.

SpottyTeacakes · 29/07/2012 21:06

monster I'm 18+3 with dc2 and have only slightly felt some movement I think, I have an anterior placenta too.

Willyoudothefandango · 29/07/2012 21:10

Anterior placenta here too and I haven't felt a thing despite a very active baby on the scan. Im 19+1

cherrypiew3 · 30/07/2012 00:08

COD I have brought the bugaboo bee, I had a wobble a few days ago also but then sat and thought about it and for us it is definitely the right choice. Hope the scan goes well tomorrow, I can not wait don't think I will be able to sleep.

Hope everyone is feeling ok.

SpottyTeacakes · 30/07/2012 06:31

Ooo good luck for any scans today! I'm pretty tired today due to neighbour hammering until ten past eleven last night right next to our room Angry

SpottyTeacakes · 30/07/2012 07:25

Help! I'm addicted to Gumtree! The bargains are amazing Grin

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 30/07/2012 08:11

Went to an open air showing of Casablanca last night it was great but had to keep fidgeting and even now my hips are still sore, it didn't help that it was quite damp too.

Got my dcs back so im much happier and DS slept in his new room last night! It all seems to be coming together!

I hope everyone's feeling ok, I had a shocking day yest where I kept being sick and ive had a headache for 3 days, I do keep being told I look well though so I shouldn't complain too much really.

kate2boysandabump · 30/07/2012 08:35

My boys have had their birthdays and are now both officially a year older. We had a fabulous weekend, great day at Conkers and their bowling party was brilliant. We're all exhausted today and are having a day at home to recover, I'm even having the shopping delivered Grin

I'm extra tired today, as I got bitten at Conkers and the itching is driving me mad, it kept me awake in the night Sad

Love hearing about all the pram talk. it seems like ages since we ordered ours, although if the lead times on icandy are right, it's a good job we did. I'm not getting anything else until 24 weeks, I should probably make a start on a list though.

CODwidow · 30/07/2012 08:37

Scan day!! Very nervous and excited Grin have to wait til 3:30pm though so may just clean my house just to take my mind off of things.

cherry I began to worry that it might not be 'big' enough for a newborn/winter but then when I looked and thought that's exactly why I bought it because I drive a lot and don't want a bulky pram in and out of the boot plus I think once I get my footmuff/cacoon I'll feel happier Smile

EggsMichelle · 30/07/2012 08:43

Went to visit the inlaws yesterday, ate far too much roast dinner and had painful gas all the way home (1hr in the car!) sorted itself out in my sleep!!!

Got my one and only wedding to attend today. Got a maxi dress I bought last summer with an empire waist line and lots of cleavage so think I'll get that out for the occasion.

I am still petrified of buying anything big and something going wrong, I struggle to commit to a sleep suit!!!!

Bubbless · 30/07/2012 10:20

cookies my dp keeps saying how big our babies head is, and my MIL said that comparing my scan photo to my SIL's and her friends done on the same date that my baby is massive.... yay Hmm i think everyone looks at the scans differently!
did you get to see the musty evo anywhere? i couldnt find a stockist anywhere near us so i was a tad resiliant to buying it.. at the mo were are looking at the mamas and papas sola..

ivana there is a whole section on mumsnet for reuseable nappies (i dont have the skill to link) so id venture over there!!

i saw the CUTEST pack of babygrows in primark yesterday.. unisex but just the cutest things ive ever seen.. may have to go and buy them tomorrow..

cod i really liked the functions of the bee plus, but i thought it was hideous and put me off i think its a bit like marmite- you either love it or hate it!!

jojo i know what you mean about heavy bump, i had that yesterday!!

ellie dont let anyone else see your names list- i let my PIL's see ours yesterday and now has some very odd additions which i would never consider but have to stay on the list!!

how do you know where your placenta is?!?!

eggs i had lasagne at the in laws last night and (TMI) havent been off of the toilet since Hmm id rather gas!!!!

good luck to those with scans today!

CODwidow · 30/07/2012 11:20

bubbles I know what you mean I think a lot of the newer prams are like that.

4MrsCoyle5 · 30/07/2012 12:07

Hi - can I join this thread?? I'm due jan 12th, but been booked for induction on dec28th... Baby number 5 for me!

SpottyTeacakes · 30/07/2012 12:15

Welcome 4Mrs baby number 5, wow!

Clarella · 30/07/2012 12:23

Morning! checking in and will catch up with thread during [horrendous] train ride home.

Hope everyone is well?

Womad was as chilled as ever and very sunny. Excellent pram spotting opportunity as crawling with kids and babies.( landrover do buggies?!) As usual spent more time over food than music and its all still inside me so looking rather rotund! Bought first baby purchase; gorgeous little knitted cot blanket with a wide pocket for little knitted rabbits and space for other toys - very cute and reckon some of you knitters could replicate very easily.( from mammoth oxfam stall , along with cashmere cardi - mummy was cold at night - and lovely gypsy style crocheted other blanket also for baby bedroom brightness!) I'll put some pics on as definitely a winner.

DJ yoda was amazing as was an African dance workshop :) (Robert plant and jimmy cliff good too but at those points needed food and tea). baby does seem to kick more when drums playing :)

Xx

WeeJo08 · 30/07/2012 12:24

Morning everyone! Just catching up on the thread. Good luck to all who have scans today! Hope everything goes well :) It sounds like most people had a good weekend...apart from those with tummy issues :( We had a lovely weekend - half day on Friday for the scan, then a lovely evening at home with yummy food, watching the Olympics Opening Ceremony! Such a show! Loved it. Spent the weekend away mostly, went to a surprise party for one of husband's work friends which was good fun. Though 80s fancy dress does become a little more challenging when pregnant! I also went to the optician's and my eyes have got slightly better...will have to wait and see if they worsen again after baby is born. We aren't going to look at prams yet, as we are moving back home to NI shortly after the baby is born, so we are going to just have a sling for the first few weeks and then have the pram waiting at home when we move. I've uploaded one of our scan pics - it's my favourite one Grin

Welcome 4Mrs!

EggsMichelle I haven't bought anything either yet! Might buy a small something in a few weeks time.....nervous too!
