Hi everyone!

I think I did this correctly! Eeeek! Probably not Blush I think we still have a few messages to go on the old one, so it's here for when we're ready :)

CODwidow · 25/07/2012 17:57

Congrats to the scans.Grin spent all day at the beach today do just home to cook spaghetti for the boys and hopefully dh and I will grab something later as he's working late again Sad

I am also properly pregnant looking now, my belly button has flattened not sure I can remember being this big with the others already slighty nervous as ds4 was 9lb10oz hoping this one won't top that.

Mummycox · 25/07/2012 18:08

Congrats on the scans ladies

spotty hugs

gils you're due same day as me Smile

I'm putting bumps size down to me being short so bump being disproportionate, although a little concerned as only 21+2 and Mahoosive. Ho hum, must be a nice nest.

ivanapoo · 25/07/2012 18:18

Congrats everyone who had good scan results today.

Spotty sounds horrible but will hopefully be worth it in the long run.

Midwife today was reading notes from another midwife out loud and said baby was lying on her- their - tummy"

Wasn't sure if other midwife thought it was a girl or whether they use a particular sex when they're talking about it in notes.

I asked the new midwife whether she thought it was boy or girl after the scan and she said she hadn't looked there so wouldn't know.

I'm glad I don't know but am now suspicious that it might be a girl!

MyDaydream · 25/07/2012 18:43

Ivana I read on another thread that sometimes sonographers will use one sex when talking about babies to avoid slip ups and so they don't feel rude referring to your baby as it. MWs could do the same maybe.

EggsMichelle · 25/07/2012 18:57

I think if I didn't want to know I would want them to refer to it as "it". Glad everyone had good scans, you all have fantastic will power not to find out what flavour yours is, I'm terrible with surprises I open my Xmas presents on Xmas eve!!!

I still look like someone who ate too many pies, I'm slightly repulsed by my figure at the moment Sad can't wait for proper bump shape to take form.

honeytea · 25/07/2012 19:35

congrats on the lovely scan news, moreboys what fun!!

I went swimming for the first time since i became pregnant, it was so lovely! i hadnt realised how much my bump was allready impacting how i move and the preasure pushes on me no matter if im sitting or standing. It was amazing to feel so weightless. We went swimming in the lake close to us, i think we might make it a regular thing :)

olliebob · 25/07/2012 19:48

Sorry just to come on here to moan but feel so sorry for my little girl she has been sick all day, and i have been cleaning up after her sick. she has just gone to bed so really hoping that she can sleep through without being sick again and go to nursery tomorrow cos it is her last day as well so wanted her to go in and say goodbye to all her friends. On the plus side i did get lots of cuddles from her.

Also made my first baby purchase, bottles they were 6 tommee tippee in argos for £12.99 Smile. i have also made a start on dc xmas pressies as there was offers on the toys as well. Got my dad to pick it all up for me cos couldn't leave the house tho.

PurplePidjin · 25/07/2012 20:11

Olliebob, if she's been sick she can't go to nursery tomorrow full stop - she's still infectious...

honeytea · 25/07/2012 21:03

poor little girl olliebob :(I hope she sleeps through!

your so organised getting christmas pressies allready! I guess we had all better get started soon as it wont be much fun shopping at 8 months pregnant.. or with a newborn!

Cookiesandcream06 · 25/07/2012 21:25

Glad everyone else's scans went well. Second opinion saying team pink so feeling confident now! Everything looking all good in there (had to be literally tipped upside down on the bed to get a good view Hmm thought I was going to slide off!) will catch up properly later ..

cherrypiew3 · 25/07/2012 23:01

Strawberry great news on the scan.

Pleased to hear that today's scans went well, there does seem to be lots of boys.

Stacey I hate coleslaw always have even the smell normally makes me feel sick and yet I can not get enough of it, I eat it with almost everything it's very strange.

Ivana At my 12 week scan the sonographer kept referring to baby has a boy, I have been convinced since then that she saw something we will see on Monday.

Olliebob hope your dd feels better tomorrow.

olliebob · 26/07/2012 07:38

hi dd still sick so going to have to have another housebound day, poor little girl has just been crying she wanted to give out her presents, have told her we will take her in next week to give them out.

The cravings that some of you have had sound weird especially as it is food you wouldnt normally touch, relieved that i dont i have any cravings would hate to be wanting anything like coffee, which the smell even makes me feel sick non pregnant.
Must confess some of the present buying is because dd bday is in october and ds bday is January so if left late i wouldnt get them anything, also i am a big kid and love getting presents in for xmas.
Hope everyone has a lovely day

Clarella · 26/07/2012 10:16

Poor little thing olliebob hope better soon.

Hope hips better today spotty? Would a support belt or something help? Sounds horrid.

I have contemplated writing Xmas cards in advance...! I'm usually so rubbish as get sooooo sick of tinsel and glitter and practising the play in November (ladies, you have no idea how teachers squabble about which kids do which or which class aren't singing!) that I get bah humbug and just make the last post - id like it to be different this year, and pop a cringy pic of baby dressed as a reindeer in last min!

Hope all scans today are good and everyone happy :)

I'm being dropped a little on my meds as definately too hyper, cue panic! Grin

Packing for womad exceptionally therapeutic, especially as I've found I can cram into my 1950's swimming costume (crotch undone) and is extremely supportive on the bump! And huuugh cleavage with crazy pointy nipples! Will def put photo later (when room tidy)

Top of packing list: anusol and head torch.... :/

SpottyTeacakes · 26/07/2012 10:34

Thanks Clarella no pain today must have been because I sat down for too long Blush

WeeJo08 · 26/07/2012 10:37

Hi everyone, glad to see the happy scan news from yesterday - boys definitely seem to be winning so far! Haven't looked at the stats thread to see what the "score" is but it certainly sounds more blue than pink at the moment! I am getting a bit more nervous about the scan tomorrow. I think I've done well not to be anxious up until this point but it's so close now that I am feeling quite uptight about it.

I came across this thread on the Pregnancy board and have spent the last 10 minutes in tears reading it (happy tears!) - it's so lovely. Hope you guys like it too. For those of you with DC already it will be lovely and familiar and for those of us expecting DC1 it will be an exciting and happy read hopefully.

Stacks · 26/07/2012 11:11

Ollie sorry your DD still isn't well. Hope she gets better soon.

Honey I hope your scan went well yesterday?

WeeJo try not to worry about the scan, it's lovely seeing your little one in such detail. Everyone on here seems to have the same experience of sonographers being very helpful with descriptions of what they're looking at.

Clarella enjoy your break, will you be camping then?

Stacks · 26/07/2012 11:17

From the stats list (which seems a bit out of date?) I count 7 boys, 4 girls and 1 surprise. I'm sure more have been announced on here, at least a couple more surprises.

Clarella · 26/07/2012 11:49

Weejo definately ask loads of questions apart for anything it means more time watching!

That thread is helping me tremendously. And I do watch the YouTube video of a baby giggling at his whistling nose while he breast feeds alot!

m.youtube.com/#/watch?desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DGHOq8WV3g5Q&v=GHOq8WV3g5Q&gl=GB

Yes stacks, camping - grew up camping and always roughed it but have been obsessed with sleeping and toilet arrangements! Also on train so restricted to what can carry (probably a good thing!) Planning most bump revealing train outfit to instigate help at changes ;)

WeeJo08 · 26/07/2012 12:00

Oooh - you guys might like this one Grin

I saw it for the first time yesterday!

honeytea · 26/07/2012 12:01

enjoy the camping clarella! sounds like a great fun weekend :)

What a great idea to do christmas cards early, I'd love to be able to do a baby photo in with the card but i think i might be leaving it a little late, might send a copy of the 3d scan if we get any good face shots :)

Clarella · 26/07/2012 12:54

What an emotionally intelligent puppy!

Want.

nasara · 26/07/2012 13:02

Had my scan this morning and all looks good - hurrah! Timmy remains a surprise, although there was a severe moment of weakness on my part, especially when the sonographer asked us if we wanted to know the sex. Just so happy that all appears well and good Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 26/07/2012 13:06

Ah well done for being strong and sticking with your decision! Grin

Clarella · 26/07/2012 13:17

Lovely news nasara x
