Hi everyone!

I think I did this correctly! Eeeek! Probably not Blush I think we still have a few messages to go on the old one, so it's here for when we're ready :)

Honestly, 1 to 1.5 pints is plenty.

It's so hot and stuffy here. But at least I get a free lunch.

Good luck with the scans. Ours was fab with the sonographer explaining everything as she looked at it.

honeytea · 25/07/2012 10:41

spotty I am sorry to here that news :( do they know a time scale that she will be in casts?

good luck with the scans today especially the water drinking part of it!

this is the video of our scan from yesterday I think it looks pretty much like all the other 20 week scans i have looked at, the baby allways has his hand on his head which is exactly like my DP sleeps so that is special most babies probably sleep like that but im pretending its special

WeeJo08 · 25/07/2012 11:09

Oh Spotty I'm really sorry to hear that Sad What did they say?

Stacks · 25/07/2012 12:20

Oh Spotty how come? Was it you that said your DD is a late walker? Is this related?

Just 20 minutes till I leave to get DH and go to my scan! I better drink some water (though I already need a pee!)

WeeJo08 · 25/07/2012 12:24

Good luck, Stacks! Enjoy! Grin

Sorry I haven't posted much - I come on almost every lunchtime, but once I've caught up with everyone's news don't have time to post!

Loving hearing all the good scan and kicking news.

I'm almost 20 weeks now and had my scan on Monday - I was so nervous, but everything was fine thankfully and I'm so excited now. Like others on here my placenta's anterior (prob why they couldn't find the heartbeat the other week eh?) so have to go back for another scan at 34 weeks to check it's moved out of the way.

We've found a new house in Kent, so will be moving in the next few weeks. I'm slightly nervous about booking with a new team because I've put on loooads of weight so far (16 lb Blush). So although my BMI was not too bad (26 point something) when I got pregnant it's now a lot higher. Do you think new midwife will care? Oh well, not a lot I can do about it now is there? scoffs flapjack, then feels guilty.

Enjoy the sun everyone who has some today.

lauraloo09 · 25/07/2012 13:40

hiya everyone must apologise for not posting in ages been on holiday and other stuff been going on. Hope everyone's scans are going well! I had mine last week and after around 50 mins the mw still couldnt find the kidneys but thank goodness at last minute she found them so all is well with bubs and we were told its a girl! a wee sister for DD she is over the moon and we have already chosen a name (Olivia :))
Is anyone else suffering horrendous headaches? I've had a blinding one since yesterday at 2pm and it just isnt shifting. I also have pelvic/hip pain which is causing a lot of discomfort just waiting on referral to physio, had it last time round with DD at 30 weeks but didnt expect it to happen so soon this time around :(

i hope everyone has been keeping well and i will now try to catch up xx

MyDaydream · 25/07/2012 13:45

Spotty how worrying for you, hopefully it'll really work for your little girl.
Cautious I imagine they'll have a chat about your lifestyle, but some people just gain more weight than others. My MW mentions weight when I see her, but since I started with a slightly too high BMI she's got to tick that box that we talked about it. Also because of you I'm now off out to buy the ingredients for flapjack! I won't be feeling guilty about it though.
How exciting about your move, me and DP thought about it but are holding off until after we have baby since I really want to give birth in our local birth centre. We also can't decide where to move to which is slowing us down.

SpottyTeacakes · 25/07/2012 14:15

Well she has hypermobility and they don't want to use insoles yet because her calves are tight so the casts will be to stretch them out. It'll only be for three weeks but still a bit sad!

Hope everyone's scans are going well. It's a bit hot for me today so we're indoors now until tea time probably!

ivanapoo · 25/07/2012 14:42

Had my 2nd 20 week scan today and they managed to finish it this time - all looking fine! Didn't find out the sex... So curious!

Hope everyone else's scans went ok.

SpottyTeacakes · 25/07/2012 14:42

Great news ivana :)

kate2boysandabump · 25/07/2012 14:45

strawberry that's really good news Smile

Spotty Your poor dd and in this hot weather too. At least it isn't for too long and I'm sure it will help. As something else to think about, when ds1 was in plaster he wore the bum out of all of his clothes propelling himself around Grin

Clarella take this as an opportunity to give your belly button a really good clean.

I'm so glad I'm not at my biggest in this weather, I had ds1 in the heatwave of 2003 and ds2 was born after a run of hot weather, although not as hot. Dh called ds1 our boil in the bag baby!

Having a good holiday so far, holidays usually fly by, so I'm hoping that if I plan lots of fun for the boys, I'll be 25 weeks before I know it.

Ordered bunks for the boys today, they are due to arrive on 6th September. Hopefully they will arrive before dc3.

Stacks · 25/07/2012 15:08

Scan all done, and everything looking good. We have another one for team blue here. Time to go nap work.

SpottyTeacakes · 25/07/2012 15:09

Wow lots of boys!

gilsbubbles · 25/07/2012 15:17

All good news at my scan too, didn't want to find out the sex so team yellow for us Grin. My dates been brought forward so now officially 21+2 , will need to find the stats thread to update. Cant stop smiling [grn]

CautiousOptimist · 25/07/2012 15:26

Hurrah, more good scan news! We're team yellow too gils Grin

Sorry to hear about your poor dd Spotty, and glad it's not for long.

Daydream we thought about staying put for that reason too, as the birth centre near where we're moving is a standalone and I'm slightly nervous about that. But excited about exploring a new area, and hopefully meeting some other new parents there as not many of our friends have babies.

HoneyMum21 · 25/07/2012 15:36

En route to scan... Confused

SpottyTeacakes · 25/07/2012 16:13

Sorry to have a moan but I just got up after laying down for an hour a little bit and now I can hardly walk and certainly can't bed down due to pain in my hips. I get painful hips sometimes but never like this I'm not sure how I'm going to cook dinner it's that bad. Any ideas?

WeeJo08 · 25/07/2012 16:29

Whole company just de-camped to the 3rd floor roof terrace to watch the Olympic torch go past Grin It was really good fun actually! Also, can't complain about having an unexpected 45 minutes in the sun! Have funny tan lines now though!

OP posts:
MyDaydream · 25/07/2012 16:48

There really are lots of boys, maybe lots of the surprise flavours are girls to balance it all out. I'm still thinking girl, although I've taken to talking about "he" and "his" when referring to baby.
kate I bet the boys are going to love the bunks, one of the biggest disappointments of being an only was never getting bunk beds. I got a canopy bed instead but it wasn't the same!
Spotty I get hip pain and limited movement after sitting too long, I find if I walk (hobble) around a bit it stretches everything out and it gets better after 15 minutes or so. If that doesn't work I'd suggest take away!
I went to the supermarket to get my flapjack ingredients and got sea bass on special offer, so were having that and lemony potatoes for dinner. Can't wait.

PurplePidjin · 25/07/2012 16:48

Spotty, dinner of cold meat/cheese and salad with jacket spuds?

No idea re: hips apart from cold bath if you can get in/out?

kate2boysandabump · 25/07/2012 17:05

Daydream the boys have bunks at both grandparents and they do love them. We aren't moving them in together until October half term, but thought we could get them set up in the summer holidays. Oh well, best laid plans and all that.

Spotty can you sit down to make dinner? Have you got a stool you could use in the kitchen?

WeeJo that sounds exciting and 45 mins in the sun too!

My boys are playing in the garden in their wizard cloaks with swords and water pistols! They look hilarious Grin

mama2many · 25/07/2012 17:15
