Hi everyone!

I think I did this correctly! Eeeek! Probably not Blush I think we still have a few messages to go on the old one, so it's here for when we're ready :)

Craving ice cold milk (but only from a lovely fine crystal glass tumbler!) I never drink milk but having that with a flake was just utterly perfect :)

MyDaydream · 22/07/2012 20:25

I wish there was a way to motivate my DP as well as saying "well you obviously won't be doing the washing up tonight then". DP knows what is bothering me is always knowing there's something else to do, and while I don't mind asking him to do it repeatedly asking is just too much. I can't decide if I should go back to work tomorrow even though I'm signed off for the week because I've got to have a talk with my manager every day I'm off and I find the thought of doing it every day really stressful. It just feels like I'm going to feel like this every day of my pregnancy so why bother taking it off.
Although its making me is that since being off baby has been wriggling about like mad.

StrawberrytallCAKE · 22/07/2012 20:25

oooh that sounds like the kind of thing I'm fancying too mwah - am currently eating a mars ice cream (not quite as sophisticated).

acjfluff · 22/07/2012 20:28

I've been glugging milk like there's no tomorrow throughout my pregnancy mwah maybe I'm having a kitten...

My nipples have been quite dry and flaky but I keep forgetting to moisturise.

Big scary event of the day: we were getting milk from Tesco near my pil's house when armed robbers robbed the security van parked outside! We were scanning our shopping when there was a huge commotion, shouting, screaming etc. Staff were all over the place, panic button pressed and I saw 3 masked men running off. 1 was carrying something long which local reports say was either an axe or a shotgun. This was in Manchester and I'm from a little town in north Wales. I've never seen anything like it! I know it's not the norm in big cities but I'm very glad we live somewhere small.

I hope everyone else has had a much calmer weekend, I could do without the drama myself!

Bellaboo123 · 22/07/2012 20:28

Welcome Mazza

Wow how nice was the sun shine!

My nipples are just massive and all bumpy round the outside mmmm so sexy!

5 more sleeps until scan woohoo starting to get a bit nervous now but I guess that's only natural Smile

mwahmwah · 22/07/2012 20:30

Mush it into a crystal glass strawb and suck through a straw. Better than sex. (tho during pregnancy must admit I find Brussel sprouts more appealing than sex Wink)

StrawberrytallCAKE · 22/07/2012 20:36

haha, agreed on the brussel sprouts but I need the crunch of the cold chocolate right now.

blimey acj that sounds horrible! are you back in Wales now?

re-nipples, mine are just gross, I hate my pregnant nipples they are all dark and bumpy and stuff (slightly hairy, shhhh don't tell anyone) and sorry if you're eating.

mwahmwah · 22/07/2012 20:45

Aw bugger strawb, you just put me off my choc and milk hahahaha!
Daydream that sounds a bit much from ur boss. Is it contractual? They can't expect someone dying in hospital to contact daily, so how can they expect you to? Bullying and double standards in my opinion. That's awful.

mwahmwah · 22/07/2012 20:48

And harrassment to by the way.

MyDaydream · 22/07/2012 20:50

I've been having lots of cereal to get my milk fix, it's always made me feel a bit sick drinking it straight from a glass.
It's contractual, I work for a big company and I think it's their way of catching out skivers since I have to leave a message on sick line and then speak to my boss later in the day. It's not so bad when I was off with my back, but I can't measure how I'm feeling until I'm facing the situation.

itsMYNutella · 22/07/2012 20:55

Welcome Mazza!
Dream stay at home, call your boss as early as possible first thing in the morning - over and done with. Usually, once the doc has signed you off, you're not covered by your work's insurance if you go back. You would have to go back to the doctor and be signed back to work.... So save the doc the time and stay at home, I hear the weather should stay nice for a few days :o

Strawb thanks for all the detail about your nipples :o makes mine seem almost boring Wink

Had a busy day today took the kids to the park on the downs and a few miles walking. Then went to BIL and SILs house for a BBQ. 'twas a lovely afternoon and SIL acknowledged my pregnancy for the first time (she had a really bad mc at the beginning of the year) and she didn't have a drink Hmm so I'm hoping it's good news for her Grin would be such fun to have kids close in age!

Right now I'm going to sleep as an knackered from exercise and sun (and too much to eat)

Welcome maazzaa!

ellliebelle · 22/07/2012 21:49

welcome maazzaa

hope everyone has enjoyed the sun this weekend iv had such a lazy one :) dh took the dd's to the park yesterday morning so i had long shower saved legs painted nails died hair etc then we went to my mums for a bbq

then today been to my mums again for some brunch then to another relatives for bbq this aft :) no cooking all weekend, also had news from a really close friend today that she is 8 weeks pregnant so very excited about that.

i think i have finally sorted out my profile/pics cant quite remember as it was a while ago but weejo were you interested in my sling pics?? also have put a bump pic on but just seen a friends bump pic and she is 30 weeks and i look so fat compared to her :(

kate2boysandabump · 22/07/2012 22:33

Had a lovely day...... cleaning out the garage Hmm No time to enjoy the sunshine here, but we do now have a space to put a pram when the time comes and all the superfluous junk that has accumalated has gone to the tip Smile

I can't bear anything dairy with this little one, I definitely won't be drinking ice cold milk, no matter what it's served in. Maybe I could manage some Mars ice cream though Wink

My nipples are really sore at the moment and then every so often, everything will tingle. They are also slightly crusty, sorry if TMI, but I think that's because I am leaking milk already. Oh the joys!

Welcome Maazaa!

acj that sounds terrible!! Hope you are all OK.

EggsMichelle · 23/07/2012 05:39

Been awake since about 3am, finally given up trying to sleep and having breakfast and watching The Closer, like a good bit of crime drama first thing in the morning.

Found a lone feather on the kitchen floor, I'm expecting to find the left overs hidden somewhere in my house Confused

SpottyTeacakes · 23/07/2012 07:05

Taking dd for blood test today

SpottyTeacakes · 23/07/2012 07:17

Also excited because we've just booked a weekend away for the end of August bank holiday Smile two nights with my sister in bath then down to Bournemouth for a couple of nights.

PurplePidjin · 23/07/2012 07:40

Sounds like we need a Bomo meet in late August Wink

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 23/07/2012 07:43

Oh spotty, try and stay calm and promise her something nice for being brave. When dd was poorly she had them every week and I was amazed at how well she took it tbh. Give her really special hugs too, poor little girl!

Well after a late night my dcs are up already but they're going to their dads today do at least someone else had to deal with the grottyness Grin then back to work for me Sad really dont enjoy it anymore esp when I'm feeling crap!

kate2boysandabump · 23/07/2012 08:14

Spotty Last time ds1 had a blood test he had magic cream and didn't feel a thing. DS2 had a story read to him while they did it and he also didn't feel a thing. Hope it goes OK.

brooke89 · 23/07/2012 08:29

Jumping in on the nipple talk my left one has been cracked since 7 weeks and the skin just peals off! Blush SO itchy!

SpottyTeacakes · 23/07/2012 09:01

Magic cream will be used! She's too young to understand really so I'm hoping that will go in our favour Smile

SpottyTeacakes · 23/07/2012 09:06

No cream allowed because she has eczema Sad

itsMYNutella · 23/07/2012 09:46

Oh no Spotty how annoying!
Actually my eczema is the one thing at has been bugging me through pregnancy - I have a splodge of eczema on my face above my right eyebrow... It's been there almost 6 weeks now I think... Don't want to use any steroid cream on it because it's may face and I'm pregnant... Humph. I've stuck to my face/skin care routine products.

WeeJo08 · 23/07/2012 10:10

Morning all! The weather is GLORIOUS here this morning! It was a lovely weekend too - yesterday especially. Had a fairly active weekend too, which felt good. On Saturday I did my pregnancy exercise DVD followed by my yoga DVD (and had a good long walk too) then yesterday had a good walk and then went for a lovely swim then ruined it all by going to a friend's house and stuffing my face!

Thanks for the pic ellie I really like the sling...it looks super comfy!

Welcome maaza!

In other exciting news - I am 20 weeks today! Woop! And our scan is on Friday! Am still a bit nervous (okay very nervous!) but I'm excited too. Yesterday morning we used our Doppler and got the heartbeat straight away in the first place we put the scanner! Just below my belly button. It was so fast and loud! Such a lovely feeling :)

Just a quick bit of advice and sorry in advance for TMI Blush This morning DH had sex and afterwards there was a teensy bit of light brown discharge. There has been none since and I have no pain whatsoever. It had also been about a week since we last had sex. Do you think this is okay?

Sorry for mammoth post!
