Hi everyone!

I think I did this correctly! Eeeek! Probably not Blush I think we still have a few messages to go on the old one, so it's here for when we're ready :)

FriendofDorothy · 23/07/2012 10:14

I am sure it is fine WeeJo.

You are doing better than us though. Having had major bleeding in the first trimester I am just too scared to have sex at the moment!

SpottyTeacakes · 23/07/2012 10:16

I think that's quite normal WeeJo if you get any more then maybe ring the midwife?

WeeJo08 · 23/07/2012 10:20

Thank you very much :) I had some light spotting in early pregnancy. In fact, that's why I didn't actually pick up my pregnancy until after 7 weeks because I thought I'd just had a really light period! I used to have a cervical erosion which caused me to spot in between periods...maybe you can get them in pregnancy too? I have had absolutely nothing since that little bit this morning and I have been checking at five minute intervals so hopefully it's okay.

Just finished the scan, and it's a boy. Usual disclaimer about not being 100%, but showed us what she was pretty sure is a "little Willy".

Very wriggly baby in there, with a posterior placenta so surprised I'm not feeling much movement (and bang goes the theory of a quiet, placid baby!)

I have to go back at 36 weeks for another scan because the placenta is near the OS, but that's just a nice chance to see the baby again!

We're in Bournemouth next weekend, staying with SIL, so hope this weather continues.

Fed up with work too, but looking forwards to a week off next week.

SpottyTeacakes · 23/07/2012 10:26

Congratulations Barbeasty! The boys are definitely winning!

WeeJo08 · 23/07/2012 10:35

Yay for barbeasty That's fab news that everything was good and another boy for the list! :)

Right I have put up another naked bump photo. I look even bigger with clothes on. No one in RL cares about my big bump so I thought I'd show you lot Wink 17+4! (excuse my pants and stretch marks!)

WeeJo08 · 23/07/2012 10:41

Spotty Aw! Your bump is lovely! Do you find it is different this time from when you were pregnant with DD?

OP posts:
SpottyTeacakes · 23/07/2012 10:46

Yeah quite different, with dd I got a lot of bad migraines (think being sick every half an hour for 12 hours on end) and touch wood I haven't had that yet. Nausea has lasted longer and I'm twice the size I was with her.

minipie · 23/07/2012 11:08

Hi WeeJo, yes you can definitely get cervical erosion in pregnancy, in fact pregnancy often brings it on or makes it worse - so that is often a cause of bleeding in pg esp if it happens after sex.

strawb have you managed to speak to midwife yet? hope it's good news.

Hooray for the sunshine! had a lovely weekend, went for a picnic on the south downs. Gorgeous.

Clarella · 23/07/2012 11:13

Hi just checking in will catch up on thread later after patting self on back for mammoth swim with porridge, strawberries and chocolate. Soooo hot think going to have to sit in cold bath first!

Interesting wkend, following most of Saturday spent in a and e trying to establish if palpitations and irregular heartbeat was anything to actually be concerned about (still wish is just had that cuppa and gone for a walk instead) its been established (though I still deny it at times) that there's some level of depression going on and 2 docs now think going back to work not feasible. Heart is strong as an ox I am extremely pleased to hear as love skipping etc but a week of panic attacks following a hard week back at work with what appears to have been a complete lack of my heads ability to tell anyone I was on phased supported return or put anything into place is not so good.

Hey Ho, finally managed to calm down by Sunday following visiting several secret beaches and finally the peace camp at dusk at dunstanburgh castle before it blew away. Utterly stunning :)

Need to get back to chatting about nipple cheese (anyone else?!) And prams and names etc in order to keep bonding with baby cos I think the head stuff stops me doing that.

Did I see more boys? Congrations!! Xx

WeeJo08 · 23/07/2012 11:19

Thanks mini :) That is really reassuring. Keeping an eye on it and think I might ask DH to do Doppler tonight just to check on Shnarf (think I have felt another few wee kicks this morning too so that's good)

DH was able to feel a few kicks for the first time this weekend which was brill. I think he was feeling a little bit left out of it before! It's just very hard to predict, IYKWIM? The baby will do quite a few in a row but then by the time DH comes over to feel it, baby has got bored/started to jump on my bladder instead!

Spotty That sounds like a nightmare! Sad Have you felt movements yet? Did you feel them earlier/later with DD?

OP posts:
Clarella · 23/07/2012 11:20

Welcome mazza!

Congratulations honeymum - fantabulous news about DH! Xx

Congratulations barbeasty! I think team blue is winning?! Will paint toe nails blue to celebrate!

Clarella · 23/07/2012 11:22

weejo are you doing the erin exercise/yoga dvds?

SpottyTeacakes · 23/07/2012 11:31

I have felt some small movements. Bit later than with dd but I have an anterior placenta at the moment

Clarella that sounds like an eventful weekend glad you're feeling happier now Smile

FriendofDorothy · 23/07/2012 11:40

I am 19+1 and I am getting really worried about not feeling any movement.

What does it first feel like?

minipie · 23/07/2012 11:47

FoD I haven't felt anything either, am 20+3. I have an anterior placenta though so that will be delaying it.

People describe it as fluttering or sometimes popping.

SpottyTeacakes · 23/07/2012 11:59

Yeah it's hard to describe but there are so many factors which can stop you feeling them. Ie position of baby/placenta your stomach muscles etc

Clarella · 23/07/2012 11:59

FoD I frequently confuse it with wind (of which there is a lot!) it just doesn't move on iykwim. I also felt what I dismissed as muscle twitches initially but don't get that now. 22 wks scary!

Clarella · 23/07/2012 12:02

Placenta is upper right anterior and have always felt in lower left, nothing on right though just starting to feel kicks under ribs occasionally. Btw, noticed very little movement at work last week, due to so many distractions and running about.

Barbeasty · 23/07/2012 12:02

I'm 20 weeks and only feeling occasional movement, despite seeing him(!) dancing all over the place at the scan. Not even an anterior placenta to excuse it! The sonographer just said it was still early days.

No nipple cheese to report, but DD has only just stopped feeding- I can't remember when but it's over a week now. It's nice to be out of feeding bras which are even higher and less attractive than maternity ones.

Name sorted easily though, as it was the choice last time.

WeeJo08 · 23/07/2012 12:04

Clarella Yes, it is a set of 4 DVDs and Erin's are the pre- and postnatal ones. There's also a yoga DVD and a Pilates DVD. I really like them Grin Here's the link for anyone who's interested. It was only £14 (though I think the price has gone up a little bit now)

www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B002QEBO80/ref=ox_ya_os_product

FoD For me, it felt very like wind (without the fart!!)! Kind of like as if you had a balloon inside and it was pushing against your insides! (That must be the worst description ever - sorry!) Now it's a little bit different, more like when you have a twitch (don't know if that makes sense either?) Hopefully someone else will come on and speak more sensibly....Blush

utopian99 · 23/07/2012 12:06

so jealous of everyone's kicks? those of you who are first timers, can you feel yours already? am due on Dec 15th but although am paying as much attention as possible I can't feel anything yet. Sad

Have assumed everything is fine, but no real way of knowing until scan on August 3rd.. I think I'm 19 weeks now (does that make sense with a due date of Dec 15th?) so presumably should be able to feel something soon??

CODwidow · 23/07/2012 12:17

Day 1 of the summer hols Grin 6 whole weeks with my lovely ds's so glad it's fallen now (19+5) as probably when I feel my best. Only 7 more sleeps til scan day which I'm sure will fly by. Feeling lots of movement now especially at night when I'm sat watching tele so reassured by that.

I feel really under pressure actually to produce a girl!! Everyone seems to have an opinion and it doesn't matter how much I say we'd be just as happy with a boy no one seems to listen. It doesn't help that my mum would dearly love a granddaughter and my mil only has 1 who is 20 now. I just have this feeling that I'll disappoint, silly I know Blush

MyDaydream · 23/07/2012 12:24

To me it feels like someone tickling my insides quite low down on the right. Usually I feel it if I've changed sides when I'm laying down and when I'm eating. I've felt it for a while but over the last few days it's been more regular.
