Hi everyone!

I think I did this correctly! Eeeek! Probably not Blush I think we still have a few messages to go on the old one, so it's here for when we're ready :)

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MyDaydream · 19/07/2012 16:35

My DP is hoping for an end of the world baby! I'm hoping for a new year baby because MIL has informed us she's booked loads of time off after my due date so she can come over every day and take lots of pictures. I kept the "you can fuck right off" statement to myself but will be crossing my legs to avoid an invasion.

littlemissbroody26 · 19/07/2012 16:41

lol day dream.. the you can fuck right of needs to be said! tell her she can come over everyday and you will have a list of household jobs that she can do!

i think i have uploaded some bump pics... you cant really see my bump that well but it is there :)

HoneyMum21 · 19/07/2012 16:44

heheMyDaydream my MIL has offered threatened to move in with us for a fortnight after the baby comes to 'help, on the assumption then it'll be christmas and she can spend at least 3 weeks with us. My response (to DH) was along the lines of 'if she thinks she's doing that i am not even going to let you phone her and tell her the baby is here'. He's promised to talk to her but hasn't got round to it yet She lives about 200 miles away so i've said if she wants to come up then fair enough but she can bugger off if she thinks she's staying in my house and getting in my way when we get home with a newborn.

MyDaydream · 19/07/2012 16:49

The thing is I actually like my MIL when she's not acting like a crazy baby lady so need to find a diplomatic way to put it. Problem is DP has talked to her several times so now she's just blatant with the crazy and laughs about how she's going too far but can't help it. Well I can't help it when baby brain makes me lock the door and 'loose' the keys. Or just go to my mums and enjoy the sanity.

PurplePidjin · 19/07/2012 16:59

My MIL lives 2 hours away and doesn't drive

My MIL is a retired nurse, i love her to bits, and is the kind of person who would gaffer tape me to the sofa and forcefeed me lovely home-made Jamaican food while she hoovered

My mum has gone from "i hope you don't expect me to babysit" and "let me know when you're all clean, dear, i don't want to see any of the mess" to "i had to get your gran to come round every day for the first three months to help out" Hmm

HoneyMum21 · 19/07/2012 17:03

Fancy swapping MILs pidge?!!

Bellaboo123 · 19/07/2012 17:18

Wow this thread moves fast!

I want a sledge party lol (stomps feet!)

Congrats in all the good scan news - 1 week tomorrow to see my little lady again yay!

We're already getting frustrated with names - everyone has a bloody opinion!!! Grrrr! Our 2 top choices are Gabriella BUT we don't want it shortened to Gaby! Luella is The Other one. Wild card one is Aurelia...be honest is it a bit knobby? I'll let you lot give your opinion! We want something a bit 'different'...

My hips are starting to ache...anyone else...?

littlemissbroody26 · 19/07/2012 17:39

I love all your names bella :) ould you try and encourage the nn ella for gabriella? My fave from your list is Aurelia.. not knobby at all!

Pidjin I ant to trad mil's! infact can we cloan her so we can all have one like her??

My mil is planning on coming down but she will stay with sil, she is nice and has said she will be knitting bits for the baby but wanted to wait till we knew the sex so she didnt use the "wrong" colour. I'm very into nice bright colours.. but it feels a bit rude to say please dont knit me a load of baby blue stuff!

SpottyTeacakes · 19/07/2012 17:41

Wow lots to read! Wonder if I can keep my placenta going until 38 weeks and have the baby on 12/12/12?!

I'll have to go on the laptop to see photos of bumps, stupid app won't let you see photos.

I also said I never want a winter baby because early mornings and late nights would be ten times harder! I'm going to buy a nice big snuggly expensive blanket Smile

HoneyMum21 · 19/07/2012 17:43

A big snuggle blanket for the baby... or for you Spotty?!!

SpottyTeacakes · 19/07/2012 17:44

For me Grin

HoneyMum21 · 19/07/2012 17:44

Good. Grin

Bubbless · 19/07/2012 18:18

bella- gabriella would instantly be shortened to gabby, which is a shame if you dont like it! i really like luella though.. not so sure on aurelia- how would you prounounce it?!
my hips are killing me especially after sex?!

OHHH yes! clone pidjins MIL! i want one!

advice.. what carb do you have with a chicken casserole? i might make dumplings.... mhm....

SpottyTeacakes · 19/07/2012 18:23

Mash or roasties mmmmm

MyDaydream · 19/07/2012 18:33

Mmm casserole and mash sounds pretty good. We're going to a pub to meet my dad, but it seems pretty posh pub food where you have puree rather than mash, I really just fancy something, chips and to not have to translate the menu to normal speak before choosing!

SpottyTeacakes · 19/07/2012 18:35

MyDaydream all the pubs round here are like that now. £18 for a pheasant breast (which costs about 20p!) super yummy though. Hopefully they will have something chip like Hmm

Bubbless · 19/07/2012 18:35

ive had mash quiet a lot recently.. anyone know how long dumplings will take to cook in a slow cooker?!

StrawberrytallCAKE · 19/07/2012 18:43

Argh. Bad scan! Apparently there is way too much fluid around the baby, I had to go straight up to labour ward and have blood tests, I'm booked in for another scan next week and have to have a glucose test. The sonographer was not good, she hurt my tummy and she said 'oh the kidneys look a bit too big' then measured them and said 'oh it's ok they're within the limits'. She just dropped in to conversation that I needed to see a consultant while she was scanning me without an explanation.

I feel a bit numb right now Confused.

littlemissbroody26 · 19/07/2012 18:43

dumpling would be lovely.. if you have the house wifey skills to make them!

SpottyTeacakes · 19/07/2012 18:45

strawberry how worrying for you. I'm afraid I have no idea what too much fluid means but I hope you get some answers soon. Do you know when you'll get to see the consultant?

littlemissbroody26 · 19/07/2012 18:47

oh strawberry so sorry about the scan :( that sounds really unprofesional of her about the kidneys. I hope all the tests show nothing wrong, i'm not sure about fluid around the baby.. but too much would seem like a better "evil" thank too little.

(hugs)

Bellaboo123 · 19/07/2012 18:58

Fingers crossed for you strawberry also don't know what too much fluid means but thinking of you - big hug x

Aurelia is pronounced aw-ree-lee-a hope that's makes sense!!!

MyDaydream · 19/07/2012 19:06

Strawberry, how worrying fingers crossed for you. Hope you find out soon.

mwahmwah · 19/07/2012 19:28
