My birth plan is fairly straight forward,

I want to be mobile as much as possible.

I am not having anything other than a tiny bit of gas and air for the second stage.

At no point is anyone breaking my waters.

If I say I need to be sick, someone best have a sick bowl near my face stat (I learnt this from last time)

Generally as long as everyone present caters to my every whim when I say so it will go swimmingly. (I get stroppy and uncooperative during labour) Blush

ValiumQueen · 18/07/2012 08:04

Ideas for detectives music:

Pull up to my bumper baby
Love hurts
I want to break free
Somewhere out there
Release me
Final countdown
Push it
Oh baby baby

Bit early for wit, but has anyone else got any suggestions?

DesperateHousewife21 · 18/07/2012 08:15

I didn't write one with ds but then everything went fine anyway. I would have preferred to be more mobile, I was on the bed the whole time strapped to a heartbeat monitor and contraction monitor so couldn't move.

Hopefully this time I'll be at the birthing centre and be able to do my own thing a bit more.

detective how old is your dp?

All I've got for the baby is a few outfits that me and some friends have bought. I'm not buying the pram til nov as we need to save up first. I'm reluctant to buy much til about 30 weeks because im worried something will go wrong.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 18/07/2012 08:27

Music Grin

Do you really want to hurt me
I'm coming out
I hate you so much right now (for the more painful moments)
Push
I wanna be sedated
Under pressure

ValiumQueen · 18/07/2012 08:33

I am still 5lb down on starting weight, but I was and still am overweight. I have been eating lots of rubbish too, and am disappointed as I was so determined to eat healthily. I guess that is better than being 2st heavier than I was at the start.

My stretch marks are beginning to show more, but I do not have too many. I have a nice neat CS scar too.

ValiumQueen · 18/07/2012 08:36

Very good tits, especially the 'I hate you so much right now' and 'under pressure'!

blonderthanred · 18/07/2012 08:40

Ring of Fire?

ValiumQueen · 18/07/2012 08:47

Ha! Ha! Yes !

ValiumQueen · 18/07/2012 08:52

Is there a song along the lines of You'll never touch me again you bastard?

SwissArmyWife · 18/07/2012 08:52

Lol at the suggested songs Grin

I will probably listen to the band Bonobo again, or something similar. very chilled.

I had my waters broken last time and as it was my first didn't realise just how quickly it would speed things up. Still managed with just gas and air though, but not sure I'd want them broken this time.

My stretch marks are already getting quite red, but the tummy butter is helping!

horseylady · 18/07/2012 09:14

Hi guys!!! You talk so much!!! I have no idea about pumps etc I was just going to bf?!

Birth plan currently exists of preferred pain relief which is a ga!!! Get the baby out and wake me ASAP!!

Beatiful weather in Corfu :) having fab time also giving me lots of time to think about the baby!!

Downside us were staying in super fitness freak hotel (actually there's only a couple ) and it makes me feel like a beach whale!! ESP when you see people looking ( and thinking!) is she fat or pregnant?! It's ok though I'm slowly learning to not look in the mirror and taking comfort that the baby is growing (who may also have a name!!) our next holiday will hopefully be with him as well!!! How exciting!!

Someone was asking about weight gain. I was 62kg at booking in (bmi 20) I'm now or was before the holiday just under 66kg with a belly measurement of 24cm at 24 weeks!

ValiumQueen · 18/07/2012 09:16

Waters being broken did nothing to progress my labour. It amazes me how womens bodies can react so very differently.

ValiumQueen · 18/07/2012 09:19

24cm. I think you are fibbing. I hope you are fibbing. Most likely 24 in

YellowWellies · 18/07/2012 09:21

Horsey 24cm around your waist? Surely that's inches? Or is that a bump measurement as otherwise I can't see how your organs fit, let alone a baby! Wink

DesperateHousewife21 · 18/07/2012 09:26

horsey when you say belly measurement do u mean the fundal height?

I've just measured around my bump and it's 37in...that's what it was at about 30 weeks with ds.

horseylady · 18/07/2012 09:38

Yes the long one from ribs to bone. No idea what my circumstance was or is any more lol I actually thought that's what they measured?! Round not length sorry for the confusion!! She said cm a week?

horseylady · 18/07/2012 09:41

Symphis fundal height 24cm sorry for the confusion!!! Never measure round my belly I might though when I get home!

ValiumQueen · 18/07/2012 09:45

I feel better now Grin

TheDetective · 18/07/2012 09:58

Liking the song choices ladies!! I must admit, to having had an overwhelming ironic urge to deliver to REM At My Most Beautiful! Grin

Birth plan is now uploaded on FB! And Chunky that is the plan I used to jog my memory of what to include, not sure how I could forget! But I know I haven't got everything in it yet! Its not really a plan to be honest. More of a list of what can and can't be done in what situation. I don't even know who I will show it to. It is mostly for DP and for me to remind me what to discuss nearer the time. My plan is to stay at home, and have a water birth. With music. Minimal intervention. That is about it. If I get that, the other stuff may be negotiable!

TheDetective · 18/07/2012 09:59

DH DP is 22 today!

FatimaLovesBread · 18/07/2012 10:00

Oooh Detective Can I see your birth plan please?

ShellyBobbs · 18/07/2012 10:10

Thechick You are not alone! My youngest is 7 and I too got rid of everything and haven't bought anything except a changing mat. I'm not going to get stuff until I'm 30 odd weeks because I absolutely hate shopping am hoping that hubby will panic like he did last time and went out and bought all the stuff Grin.

Apple, it's probably the growth spurt the baby has - sapping all your energy. All you can do is eat and drink well and just make sure you get the rest you need. If that means sleeping 20 hours a day then so be it.

YellowWellies Snap! It took me a full day to clean my very tiny kitchen the other day and I used a full bottle of bleach. I do have to say that I paid for it that night and yesterday with awful backache though.

TitsalinaBumSquash Ours got cancelled for the second time this week. I always have a camping chair in my boot, I've had it for years because I can't stand sitting on the floor and it doesn't take up any extra room really, it comes in it's own bag that you can just sling over your shoulder like a bag and is really light. It was about £6.

And it seems that it's the skinny Minnies that have put on the most weight so stop stressing you lot, you're just slowly catching the rest of us up Grin

TheDetective · 18/07/2012 10:13

Are you on FB Fatima?! If not, do you want me to PM it to you... it's rather long Confused

kissyfur · 18/07/2012 10:23

valium my birth plan is much the same as yours Smile apart from the MIL part. That's assuming I get my ELCS!

Anyone else feeling totally exhausted at the mo? Everything feels like a major effort, hope I'm not going to feel like this for the rest of this pg

applepieinthesky · 18/07/2012 10:26
