Hope everything goes OK tomorrow Wallace. ((xx))

I lay and watch my stomach as it ripples now when she kicks.

Night ladies and sleep tight. Not something that I will as I have a terribly congested nose but have read that this is normal at this stage.

((xx))

agalch · 06/03/2006 07:04

Morning ladies

Good luck with the scan Wallace(i assume you are a Scot like me lol)and let us know how you get on.

My boobs are not leaky this time round but thats to do with still bf dd age 19 months.Boobs were horrendously(sp) painful and my nipples, well every time i put my bra on it brought tears to my eyes, seems to be going away now thank goodness!!

I feel totally knackered so sex is not even on the menu at our house.I usually feel like during the day and can get fairly hornyBlushbut even if dp is on a day of which is at least once a week can't indulge as the minded kids are here or dd is refusing a nap. Then by the time i get rid of the kids and mine are asleep/in bedrooms i'm in the land of nod anyway.Having a teenager also doesn't help,he sits downstairs with us to chat most nights so no snogging on the couch either.

Anyway hope you ladies are feeling great and getting loads of rest lol.Only 6 weeks till my hols so i'm just a bit excited.Grin

usandbump · 06/03/2006 09:39

Good luck Wallace Smile

puddytat99 · 06/03/2006 11:08

Hi Guys

Hope everyone is feeling okay and has had a good weekend. Hope you've all managed to keep warm. It's just started snowing here, but only a few flakes.

I too go to Bravissimo. Luckily we have one in our city centre and picked up some lovely, comfy bras at the end of Jan. Hope I don't get any bigger as I'm starting to get back back ache. Before I was a 34G and now I'm a 36H, so a very happy husband. I do know what you mean about some of these low cut tops. It's nice to feel sexy/volumptous when pregnant but not much good when you work in a Primary school!!!

Went for a check up on Friday with the GP and had to reassure her. She couldn't find 'Blob's' heartbeat and I could see the worry in her face as she has been my GP for over 10 years, so know each other well. I could feel 'Blob' kicking and told her where he/she was lying.

Everyone I work with thinks I'm going to have a boy, so does my son. My Mum hopes it will be a girl as she doesn't have any grandaughters. Part of me would like to know but knowing my luck they would say it's one and it would come out as the other.

puddytat99 · 06/03/2006 11:09

Wallace - Hope everything has gone okay with your scan today. Let us know how it went.

dangirl · 06/03/2006 11:10

best of luck wallace!Smile

AggiePanther · 06/03/2006 11:12

Good Luck Wallace :)

Annie29 · 06/03/2006 11:30

Good luck today Wallace.
Kbaby, I'm with you on the boobs, I'm so proud of them during pregnancy. Making the most of them!!! My sis breastfed 5 kids and she's flatter than me, so I guess I'm headed the same way Sad boo.

HC, maybe sniffing a bit of olbas oil might help with the nose congestion? Don't overdo it though!!

I can feel bump move a lot too, felt it really early this time, about 16 weeks I think. I suppose I knew what to expect, instead of wondering ohh was that one? the first time. It's such a lovely feeling. As I know it's a girl this time, they don't feel so strong though! Is that just my imagination I wonder?

Straightforward · 06/03/2006 11:31

Ooooh I'm so relieved that it's not just me that has problems in the boobs dept! They've never been my favourite part of my body (to put it mildly) and they got HUGE when I was pg with DD (went from 36DD to spilling out of 40F)and my 'carrier-bag boobs'- as one 'friend' who's a priest ffs named them - have been a joke ever since. However, once I'd finished breastfeeding and slimmed right down when dd was about 1, they shrank down to a 34C - bliss! OK, they looked v deflated with no clothes on, but I looked great with the right bra!

They stayed more or less that size until I got pg this time, and now they're already a 38E and in the famous Doreen bras. Doreen looks like battle armour, but at least gives a bloomin sight more uplift than any of the other non-wired bras. This, for me, is the single worst aspect of pregnancy - love my bump, really hate my matronly boobs :(

They also hurt like hell, but on the plus side, they're really sensitive to being handled as only DH can GrinWink - and during pg I can get to 'O' just from that alone.

On that subject, I was really up for it all the time last pg, but this time am rather wiped out. Think morning sessions were favourite last time - but that's a bit difficult now we've got DD!

Straightforward · 06/03/2006 11:36

Forgot to say good luck to Wallace and welcome to the newbies. I've got my scan tomorrow morning - v v excited.

Oh, and Annie29 - I can vouch for girls being incredibly strong kickers when they get going! When pg with dd, she once gave me a really hard kick when I was walking up a steep hill and it was enough to make me lose my balance and fall right over! Blush

Annie29 · 06/03/2006 11:43

LOL Straightforward!! Grin
I must remember not to walk up any steep hills!! (fat chance).
And little as I am, I couldn't stand my boobs being touched at all with DS. This time it's nice though, but I wouldn't get as lucky as you in the big O department!! Wow!!
Good luck with the scan tomorrow Smile

deblaca · 06/03/2006 13:06

good luck tomorrow with your scan, straightforward, laughing at the image of you falling over - oh the joys of pg!

Wallace hope your scan went well?

IamBlossom · 06/03/2006 14:23

Wow SF, "O" from second base alone - now THAT's impressive, whatever book your DH read can you let me know and I'll give it to my DH for his birthday. "Making the breast of it - Pregnancy Lovemaking"?

I feel HUGE - and I'm waddling. Bump is truly amazing, sticking RIGHT out in front, people can't believe I am only half way thru - neither can I for that matter. Please tell me you all have a bona fide bump too.

LOL at priest boob comment - a male priest I presume? Just shows you they are all either boob or bum men, vocation or not!

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

IamBlossom · 06/03/2006 14:24

oh and good luck with scans etc everybody.

Wallace · 06/03/2006 16:04

Got to the hospital to find my scan was cancelled :( Apparently the consultant was off sick. So disappointed, but it has been rearranged for Friday.

pinkdolly · 06/03/2006 16:13

Wallace - Did they not bother to send you a letter or telephone you to let you know. i think that's really bad.

Wallace · 06/03/2006 16:18

They did telephone this morning when the doc phoned in sick. Unfortunately they started phoning just before 9. I left the house at quarter to, to get the kids to school, then left straight from there as the appt. was at 10:15 and it is a 25 mile drive (plus roads dodgy because of snow)

I was so disappointed. And my sister came with me (dh works away) and there is no way she can get friday off work :(

Wallace... sorry to hear about your cancelled appointment. That's really crap. Roll on Friday for you Smile. Am seeing midwife tomorrow for what feels like the first time in ages... definitely the first time since christmas. Quite excited... must remember to put my little wee container by the bed to remind me to catch the first mornings waterfall!!!

Still leaky boob. I much preferred mine pre preg.. they were just the right size and manageable for exercise. Now they are huge and bulbous and leaky, veiny, and my nipples are enormous with little mini bumps on them which are apparently milk things. I could support a pencil case under each of them at the moment without holding it!!

Straightf you must have a hell of a set of sensitive boobs to manage such feats! I can only gawp in admiration at such a skill! Blossom... laughed at you calling it second base!!! My bump is sticking out loads too. You can tell when people ask when youre due and you say.. 'oh early july', from the look of surprise, that they must be thinking I look much bigger than that!!

Kbaby... I'm spending ages sprawled on sofa or in bath with hands resting on bump! All mymovement seems to be at about ten at night or about an hour after food. I saw my tummy move last night in a kind of ripply way when i felt the kicking. It seems mad, and I'm spending hours just staring at it!

Entropy...laughed at vision of cold ankles and not enough top space!!! I ordered some stuff from blooming marvellous and ordered extra long jeans and they are fab. really nice and long. The top i ordered was a bit revealing though... too tarty for work, without something underneath!

Right... off to cram some study in... exam is a week tomorrow and I'm in cuckoo land...

Hope everyones ok. Love to all xxx

AggiePanther · 06/03/2006 19:24

Oh how disappointing for you Wallace Sad annoying too!
Blossom -yes a definite bump -I look at least 6 months pg I reckon.
SF I'm with you on the hyper sensitive boobs ..bloody marvellous!! Mind you they are also miserably huge and matronly as you described so we deserve the upside I reckon Grin

Straightforward · 06/03/2006 20:32

Too right Aggie! There has to be a pretty major plus side for the general misery of feeling like you need wheelbarrows to carry them round in!

Lucky my lovely DH likes them, even if I don't!! Oh, and I guess our priest friend... Yes, he is a bloke, and has a thing about pregnancy. That's making him out to be a right old perv and he's not - he's just a little lax on the old tact sometimes! Luckily for him, his DW loves having babies too, so they're on a two-man mission to people the world!

Straightforward · 06/03/2006 20:34

Forgot to say - how completely irritating for you Wallace. Can't imagine how I'd feel if I got there tomorrow and they cancelled. And I don't have the added heart problem worries that you do!

Sorry that I seem to have to post twice every time - must be the worst preg-head on this thread!

maewest · 06/03/2006 20:46

Evening all. Bad news about the scan Wallace, and best of luck for Friday.

One of my close friends just told me that she is pg today, she is 8 weeks and feeling pretty rough. Felt like quite an old hand Grin. I'm also astonished by the difference 3 months makes (as she's about 12 wks behind me). Somehow those early weeks seem like ages ago! This is such good news for her, and it was so nice to be excited for her as she gave me a great reaction when I told her just before xmas. Now I've almost reached 20 wks myself, I just feel a lot more confident about being excited about the baby

HumphreysCorner · 06/03/2006 22:21

Evening ladies

Busy, busy today and lots to read.Grin

Wallace-how upsetting about your scan hun. Have you got to go on your own on Friday? ((xx))

Straightforward-good luck with your scan. How on earth can you 'O' just from boob rubbing??? Shock Having my feet tickled nearly produces the same effect but not quite.((xx))

bumpybel-I have to leave my wee pot on the handbasin or I just forget-start weeing and have to stop mid flow-ooh, pelvic floor. ((xx))

I have to say DD kicked like a mad woman and DD2 is doing the same but my friends DD didn't hardly kick but her DS did.

3 people have now told me how bad the afterpains are when you have your 2nd baby including my manager today. Beginning to dread the birth a bit to be honest and the days following when the pains kick in.

Just to make you all Envy the girl at work who is 29 weeks PG with her first is still in her size 10 skirt. My maternity uniform arrived and the skirt touches the floor and the lycra top reaches my knee so no chance of wearing it-don't know what I'll do when I get bigger. Roll on May 30th which is my last working day.

Love to everyone else. Have just watched Celeb Fit Club from the other week which made me hungry so have just stuffed cheese and biscuits. Blush

Tired now so off to bed to sleep!!!

xxx

agalch · 06/03/2006 22:31

HC,i had really bad afterpains with ds2 and even worse with dd,but as far as i know its only if you breastfeed so not sure if you are planning to bf or not? I am dreading having this one as i know the pains will be awful.Sad I think the more kids you have the harder it is for your womb to contract back down? Don't take what i say as gospel,i could have my pg head on and be wrong!!Grin
