Hello everyone, congrats to you all. Just marking my place as tested early and feel a bit scared to update stats or anything until AF due date has been and gone.

I recognise a few on here though so hi !

Even if I hadn't tested, I puked tonight. Major giveaway!

tiddleypompom · 29/06/2012 06:38

Hotting up in here isn't it?! Welcome to the 'newbies' tay, ilpm, jessi and tedmundo - congratulations on your BFPs :o

ted I recognise you from the July thread - I snuck in and then left early as I had got my cycle completely wrong! I hope there will be others from that thread joining us soon, what a lovely bunch.By the way I got my BFP at 10dpo so understand about the early-doors feeling. Hope the puking doesn't last (though symptoms at this stage are actually quite comforting aren't they?!).

jessie another second-timer, when was your daughter 1 year? It'll be interesting to see how different our pregnancies are this time around.

ilpm sorry to hear you've been worried by spotting, though I agree that no pain/cramps and brown blood sounds more like implantation. Will you be booking in with your gp soon?

tay I really hope that this time around you have a lovely time. Wishing you a complication-free pregnancy!

I am still full of cold. Can't spot any preg symptoms above the general feeling of grot - though I am sooo hot and have daily headaches. It really doesn't feel real to us yet - probably as we have the huge house distraction, and I guess as we weren't expecting to be expecting Blush Am a bit worried that it simply isn't meant to be - though this is totally unfounded - and am just taking things day by day.

I have 4 x pissy sticks in the drawer of my bedside table, which I have to look at daily occasionally just to make sure I'm not dreaming :)

tiddleypompom · 29/06/2012 06:41

By the way, welcome to monkey & huggle too - spotted you on the stats thread! If I missed your post on here I apologise - we're on page 6 already and I struggle when there have been loads of posts as reading on my phone!

Leftwingharpie · 29/06/2012 06:53

Morning all! Tedmundo congratulations on your BFP and welcome to the thread! An a bit envious of your nausea! I have hardly any symptoms.

Tiddleypompom I'm impressed by how much you have posted if you are on your phone! I'm almost always on my phone - it does make it more difficult to keep up with the thread sometimes doesn't it.

Good morning ladies and welcome newbies! Im so glad there are so many people having same feelings and worries! How odd that sounds! It's good we can support each other!
Re telling friend, I don't know what to do! I want to the whole world, but so worried is to early! We will tell my PIL on sunday, they will be ecstatic as no grandchildren yet and my MIL is 71 on Sunday! so little present for her. Smile
Yesterday I seen my friend who is due early october and kept asking her lots of questions and almost couldn't hold back and told her!
Really worried telling my friend who has been ttc for over 9months!
I have no symptoms! Just a bit cramping and bit of nausea! Last week was a bit sick and had a metalic taste in my mouth, but that's all gone. Done another hpt just to make sure. Still positive. Smile silly isn't it! Blush

Leftwingharpie · 29/06/2012 09:20

For once I'm quite glad my parents are abroad. They're not back in the UK till the end of next month, by which time I'll (hopefully) be 10 weeks. It's easier to hold off telling them too early.

Welcome to all the new comers and congratulations on your BFP's!

Not having too many symptoms myself at the moment, though I did wake myself up by retching this morning Hmm

Trying not to worry too much as with DD1 I had literally no symptoms so just got to hang in there. Still toying with the idea of an early scan, having lots of twinges but I'm assuming everything is just stretching out and my scar is only a year old tomorrow, so reckoning I will be feeling more twinges this time round. I'm another that keeps checking my knickers a lot Blush I really should just relax!

I have one more CBD test left, which I'm going to do next week to check it gives me the 3+ and then I have my midwife appointment on the Thursday.

bbface · 29/06/2012 12:48

Welcome newbies! Hope everyone doing well and happy.

To those worried about lack of symptons, enjoy it! Symptons generally kick in around 6/7 weeks and reach peak at 10 weeks. So relax. Chances are you will start to feel the symptons in the next couple of weeks.

On the subject of symptons.... the thirst!! I am necking pints of water. And when the thirst comes on, i am like a woman possessed. Practically snatched my 22 month old's water beaker from his hands and drained it when we were in the park yesterday. He looked a little baffled, but I have a feeling that he is going to be baffled at lots of points over the next 8 months!

Have a good day all xox

ilpm · 29/06/2012 16:35

Bbface I know what you mean about thirst. I'm not normally good at drinking enough fluid but reckon my body is really telling me off now! I can't stop drinking water! Normally love hot drinks but don't really fancy them much.

Tiddleypompom I've not got my booking in appointment until July 18th. The receptionist gave me a massive pregnancy pack with lots to read so guess that will keep me busy until then.

tedmundo · 29/06/2012 16:40

Thanks for the lovely welcome old timers!

Did another test just now and there is a lovely clear line. Not as dark as control, but clearly there. Still only dpo12 but surely now I can claim to be pregnant?!

Symptoms still tiredness and sickness. And what I have assumed is a cold but am now to understand that congestion is a common symptom too?

PS What counts as too many tests?!?!

tedmundo · 29/06/2012 16:44

bravely posted onto the stats thread. But now I feel like a right old gimmer .. !!

Popinda · 29/06/2012 16:44

I want pregnancy pack! Grin I'm going to see doc on the 11th so hopefully I'll get one then! Smile
tedmundo there is no such a think as too many tests! Grin I keep testing all the time! Just to make sure! Grin

ChiefTittifer · 29/06/2012 17:13

Hello all, JulieS here under a nc. The other name was fun but Julie is the name of a close relative so it was too odd being addressed by her name iykwim Confused.

I keep doing tests to check I haven't made a mistake! Plus I have no impulse control

Nausea has now kicked in. Last time I was very 'sod it, pass the biscuits', but I now realise that pregnancy doesn't last forever, and bad food choices now hang around a lot longer than the bump! :o

Popinda · 29/06/2012 17:38

chief that's is a bad news for me as I wanted to use pregnancy as a excuse to eat whatever I want! Smile now I can't! Sad
Btw who plays the pregnancy card in their dh/dp/h2b? I'm as guilty as charged! Grin I found somewhere that pregnant woman shouldn't use cleaning chemicals too much! So now I can't do any cleaning! What a shame! GrinGrin

jessi0343 · 29/06/2012 17:57

Hi everyone! Thanks for the welcomes. Yes there will be a 20 month gap between my dc. Am a bit nervous about having a newborn and a toddler, but DH is so supportive that I know im in good hands!

I am also nervous about telling some close friends who have been ttc for a long time. So am holding off till I start showing before crossing that bridge.

Am also feeling cautious about finding out so early, I remember last time the wait from 4 weeks till the 12 week scan felt like a lifetime....

kurlyvoice · 29/06/2012 19:02

Hello and welcome to everyone!

We're going to have two under two here too, although only by a week if LO arrives on time. Who knows what DS will be like by then!

ChiefT, you're just trying to confuse us babybrained ones, aren't you! And stop that talk of watching what we eat - I'm going down the whatever I fancy approach until this nausea and exhaustion passes! Broke open the ginger nuts this morning - any bets on how many packets of them will be consumed by everyone on this thread over the next few months?

I was reading somewhere that there's still quite a bit of caffeine in decaf coffee. Now, I only usually have one or two mugs a day, but do I need to cut it right out? I am also trying to avoid my daily glass of diet coke (it's usually my tipple of choice as I never drink alcohol). And then you have to factor in chocolate, boohoo!

Popinda, I'm with you on the pregnant lady card. Already I'm finding the bin smells too bad to be around (ie take out) and I also read about the cleaning stuff, though our naughty luxury since I've been back at work is a cleaner so I'll stick with her! Came home today and the house was lovely!

I must go and make dinner for DH and I as he's doing bedtime (which is a bit of a struggle at the mo) but I'll have a proper catchup later.

tiddleypompom · 29/06/2012 19:11

Evening all,

Another with 2 under 2-2-B Confused with an 18 month gap. Good to know I'll be in the company of others with one under each arm and eye bags down to my knees :o

Telling friends who are ttc is so hard - I wish you all the best of luck when you do decide to tell. I am sure they'll be happy for you, despite sad for themselves. My SIL is on the verge of giving up forever, which is so sad for her and DB (plus I won't be an auntie, selfishly) - but she is always lovely with DS when we do see them. My best mate is due in Dec (her first) and a few other friends are also expecting, so I expect our news to be a drop in the ocean! DF may just be miffed that the maternity and baby clothes may not be quite as easily available now :)

Right - off to eat dinner with DH. Baby sleeps & I am knackered after a long day that started at 5.10am thanks to DS's latest trick of early waking. Yawn.

Wishing you all a relaxing evening - put your feet up, break open the pud and absolutely NO housework!

bbface · 29/06/2012 20:41

Agreed, no more talk of being restrained re. the cakes and biccies! I am obviously not talking about binging here. But one of the true pleasures of pregnancy is being to enjoy food and not give a rat's arse about putting on weight. I lost all my baby weight and then some more, within weeks of birth, but and it is a bloody BIG BUT I was so untoned and remain pretty damn untoned. This is largely because I did not put the effort into the gym. If you are that way inclined, you WILL get your pre-pregnancy figure back. But I guess with age, experience and motherhood... I care much much less than pre-motherhood. Having said that, I am a vain cow so if others think differently then you will get no judgements from me!!

Anyway, enough enough enough of my silly talk about weight. We are all going through something so exciting. Let's enjoy. I was thinking today, how brill will it be when we are one of the threads talking about meeting our babies this month!!

Good night, sleep tight, I am off to watch a recording of 'Hit and Miss'. Anyone else watched it? xxx

kurlyvoice · 29/06/2012 21:01

Do you think that watching Wimbledon (particularly tense 5 setters) is bad for the baby.....?!?!?

holls2000 · 29/06/2012 23:17

Evening all - not been around for a couple of days, so hope all are ok. Symptoms have been a bit less obvious those have an ache in right side. However, yesterday learnt my school is going in with another one next term and that we have to basically fight for our jobs, so that's kind of taken away other worries as I am now focused on work and my lovely, lovely pupils and the wonderful school that I work in. All so sad and I just want to cry all the time. Blah.

Oh for a normal few weeks....!

Hope you are all alright and that the beans are growing nicely. xxx

FidgetPie · 29/06/2012 23:53

Hi there - I am due on Feb 28, but as with some of the other Feb people I might lurk here a bit as well, I hope that is ok and many congrats to you all.

Leftwingharpie · 30/06/2012 02:45

Wedding over I'm in bed in the hotel. Been pretending to drink all day and I think I got away with it! It was quite difficult at first because it was red hot and I was thirsty and I was carrying around a drink that I couldn't drink! Once everyone got pissed it was much easier!

OP posts:
Leftwingharpie · 30/06/2012 02:47

Fidget I found on the February threads, most people are pretty far along compared to me - it's nice to start off with other people who have just found out.

bbface · 30/06/2012 07:05

Opens the door for whiteorchid.... 'hi! and welcome!'

Despite DH and DS still fast asleep, I am up and mindlessly surfing.

Good on you Leftwing! I think it is for the best to refrain from telling everyone, just because adds pressure. I have told a few, and it feels good as tbh if anything bad did happen... I would want to tell these people. I think that's a good frame of reference re. whether to tell people or not at this early stage.

re. caffine in decaf tea.... my tetleys has been reduced to 0.2% caffine. I accept that! And it is delicious! (hardened tae and coffee drinker here)

Have a good day all xxx
