Thanks everyone and thanks posy for the link to the message boards.

Pop, I am 5 to 6 weeks. I've been looking up what things should be like at this time for signs of hope but the doctor and nurse were right - there isn't any. There was no yolk. The nurse even said not to worry as she would cancel my midwife appt for me (it was for next week).

kurlyvoice · 18/07/2012 19:49

random and mother, I'm so sorry to read your sad news. There's nothing to say in these circumstances, just that if there is anything we can do here, we will, and that I hope some lovely mumsnetty ladies on the mc thread can give you the support that we can't. Sad

woody17 · 18/07/2012 20:12

Hi everyone - hope you are all well. Unfortunately I didn't get good news today. The baby had gone since the scans on Sunday and I have miscarried. Feel absolutely devastated at the moment.

I wish all of you the very best with your pregnancies and will be thinking of you as you get closer to March.

Take care xx

kurlyvoice · 18/07/2012 20:31

Chefette · 18/07/2012 23:49

Hi don't know if I'm doing this right; thought I'd join as me and DH keeping it on the QT about me being "mit bebe"! But fancy a char or touch base with folk now and then. Been a bit strange couldn't remember LMP for sure so we were working on being 11 weeks or so, got a dating scan on tues, and told 6 weeks+4. Saw the fluttery heart beating, totally surreal. Weirdly have not been told an EDD so did it off the onsite calculator. Am a practical realist so not getting too excited until another 7 weeks passed. Although two VERY long lists of names have been appearing in the notebook by the bed!!!!

Chefette (36) step DS age 3 EDD around 5/3/13 Montrose, Scotland

pipsicles · 19/07/2012 06:48

I can't stop today, as it is a work day for me, but just wanted to let you know I'm also thinking of you, woody. Such sad news and I know there is nothing any of us can say to make it better, but I hope you and DH have lots of RL support. Take care.

tiddleypompom · 19/07/2012 07:30

Morning all

Well the sun is shining here. No comfort for those who left yesterday, on my mind again this morning, but better than the infernal rain

chefette congratulations & welcome along. Is it gorgeous weather up in Scotland, above the jet stream?! How do you feel?

I had a long & difficult evening yesterday for reasons too dull to explain - but I am due a happier day today. Think we will exchange (at last) so I can also crack on with packing.

Not feeling quite so sick yet today & was only sick once yesterday. Am thankful it isn't getting worse but I can still feel the underlying nausea so trying not to worry!

So - enjoy the sunshine if you have it :)

EthelredOnAGoodDay · 19/07/2012 07:45

Morning all and welcome chefette! hope you get some good house news soon tiddley

Def feeling a bit sick this morning. Need to get to work and have some breakfast. Also can't stand the feeling of anything touching my throat, makes me wretch. Eugghhh! Plus smells are really getting to me now. I had none of this with DD, sailed through first trimester, but after the MMC I am happy with any symptoms really! I am feeling very anxious about it all, which is crazy, but I guess you can't control how you feel ...
Am interviewing all day today, so hoping I can keep it together without either yawning or feeling sick! Delightful.

mandasand · 19/07/2012 08:37

so sorry to hear about your losses, woody and random. It was very nice to have you along with us and I'm sure that if you decide to try again you'll be only a couple of months behind, based on others' experiences of conceiving again after MC. Take good care of yourselves over the difficult days and weeks ahead. Thanks

welcome to our newest newbie, chefette!

sorry about your difficult evening, tiddley. Glad you're cheered by the sun today. Tis lovely here in Oxford.

Off to see the midwife this morning! Exciting :-) Then lunch with a friend who I'm going to try not to tell, but I may not do very well on that front!

Nothing as encouraging as a yawny, sicky interviewer, ethelred! :-) Wishing you strength to get through the day!

knickyknocks · 19/07/2012 08:43

woody, random, motherofone - thinking of all of you Your time will come again. Big hugs again. I've been there, and it's terribly upsetting. Take care of yourselves please.

Hello chefette and congratulations on your BFP.

Have had a few waves of nausea myself, but at the moment, it's nothing in comparison to DD, which is making me feel anxious. I'd hate it if I had nausea all the time, but equally I don't want to feel like I did with DD - you can't win can you?Though it's still early days for me 5 weeks 4 days. Tempted to have an early scan at the end of next week for reassurance as have had previous early losses.

Jumped on the scales this morning and have already put on a couple of pounds! Flipping heck at this rate I'll be the size of a house in a few months time......anyone else put on weight yet? Suspect mine is to do with how constipated I am! (tmi??)

knickyknocks · 19/07/2012 08:44

x posts - mandasand hope the midwife appointment goes well - and good luck with the not telling a friend at lunchtime - I'm bursting to tell my closest friends.....! (and even my not so close friends....) xx

tiddleypompom · 19/07/2012 08:49

Thanks manda and ethelred - I am in efficient mode this morning, pawing the ground to speak to our solicitor. To try and explain - our sols have exchanged our purchase and agreed a completion date without exchanging our sale. So - we are contracted to complete next Friday, but currently don't have the money!!!! Serious cock up on their front - today will be spent desperately trying to get our sale exchanged. The Friday move is also a problem as the removal company charge an extra £350 on a Fri as it will go over to Fri eve (double time). So I shall be asking our sol to pay for the additional monies.

And breathe.

Good luck with the interviews ethelred - I always find them exhausting at the best of times (usually contractors in my job), so you have my sympathy!

manda your day sounds lovely. Bet you tell your mate :o

Suggestions for new thread title anyone? We're getting close to the end of this one already...

posypoo · 19/07/2012 09:09

Blimey tiddley what a cock up. I thought everything in the chain was supposed to exchange and complete on the same day?! I moved in January so sympathise with the stress you're going through. 6 months of pretty much daily stress. Are you moving near to your current place?

I also have a midwife appt today with my lovely previous midwife who I am excited to see again. I am still bleeding and still have nada symptoms but since they said everything was ok I am trying to to worry too much. I am starting to see how people go through entire pregnancies not realising they are pregnant though!

JoJoBella84 · 19/07/2012 09:16

Welcome to the group chefette
ethelred I'm the same re the touching of the throat, I had to take off my favorite comfort hoody yesterday as it made me feel queezy being so close to my neck!

My morning sickness is gradually disappearing - it seems I've found my perfect morning mix of dry cheerio's and tea. I can handle the nausia, but being sick scares me :(
I'm constantly thinking about mc - in fact I seem to be dreaming about it - I have no symptoms to indicate I'm going to, but as I still feel I've cheated pregnancy I can't help but feel it's lurking around the corner. Equally I don't feel pregnant at all anymore.
I'm still having pregnancy symptoms but until I have a scan, or a bump I think I'll just be sitting here quietly worrying.

posypoo · 19/07/2012 09:24

Hi JoJo I feel the same. Best thing I found last time was to keep busy. Find something non-pregnancy related to obsess about, like a new boxset or in my case last time, crime fiction (which I never ordinarily read!).

ps welcome chefette!
