Hi All!

Hope everyone doing well.

Just checking in really. No change, other than booked an app with my GP to get myself in the system (just moved to a new area).

Every now and then my new little one springs to mind, and an enormous smile spreads across my face. TBH though, my DS remains the centre of my existance. That must change I guess..... does it???

tiddleypompom · 25/06/2012 14:43

Two sad faces from me:

:( 1. My mum said to DS 'guess whose nose will be pushed right out of joint when the baby arrives'.

:( 2. The bloody frustration, worry, energy & time spent trying to get our 2x sales plus purchase exchanged this week. Seriously, why am I the only one who seems bothered if it ever happens?

Feeling stressed, tired & lonely.

I must be pregnant :o

LoisLame · 25/06/2012 17:55

Hi everyone and congratulations to all the newly BFPd Grin

tiddley Glad I'm not the only emotional one. Although my matters are all trival. No life changing moves here, just lots of crying at the telly!

bbface must be kinda nice having a new gp. I'm thinking of changing because I'm not sure if I can deal with that gp's midwife again!

Eric sounds like pull-a-symptom-from-the-hat. Hadn't really considered how different each pregnancy (and birth I guess) can be. Hope you get drawn a good batch this time.

I'm still just feeling sick on and off all day and really tired. Need to go to the gp tomorrow to collect the form to register with the midwife Grin

holls2000 · 25/06/2012 20:07

Hello lovely ladies

So have been to the GP. Weirdly, not the same spiel as I got in Jan. having a dating scan. Doc was so lovely and allayed a lot of my fears.

Queasiness was there this a.m but seems to have gone this p.m which is quite nice. As long as it comes back; it would worry me if it didn't!!

Hope you are all ok xxx

tiddleypompom · 25/06/2012 20:23

Evening all :o

Watching wimbles, love it.

holls that's smashing news - I am so glad you must feel much happier.

Sorry to hear you're feeling sick lois - though I'd welcome a few symptoms right now! Other than no af, tiredness & high emotion I am feeling just the same. Come to think of it, tiredness is nothing new either!

Still a bit blue but trying to perk myself up with a bumper pack of malteasers

holls2000 · 25/06/2012 20:26

Can't do the bold bits on stupid phone (incompetent me?!). Yup a bit happier. Is it wrong to want sore boobs???!!!

Have also bought bumper bags of maltesers. And had Pringles sandwiches. Hmmmmm. Healthy eating.

Xx

Leftwingharpie · 25/06/2012 20:37

Mmmmmmm Pringles sandwiches! :0P

tiddley my first really strong symptom was the crazy vivid dreams - any of those for you?

holls2000 · 25/06/2012 21:23

Oooh ooh ooh I had vivid dreams too - they were horrid!!
I'm not v tired - sleepy at about 4 and then awake by now!!
Symptoms so different to last time.....

tiddleypompom · 26/06/2012 06:21

Vivid dreams - check!
Metal taste - check!
Tiredness - check!
Emotional wreck - check!

:o thanks lois, think the fear has started to creep in already... Good to hear that symptoms are rarely the same second time round. How I wish I'd written a diary last time.

bbface · 26/06/2012 07:05

Very low level on and off nausea, check
Emotional, check
Tired, check
Slightly fuller boobs, check

Nothing more.

Have a good day all xxx

Leftwingharpie · 26/06/2012 08:39

Barely any symptoms at all here. It's so stressful! My Internet search history is a catalogue of pregnancy disaster scenarios!

Leftwingharpie · 26/06/2012 08:40

Not telling anyone is awful us well. I keep irrationally thinking what if people die and I never got to tell them? I'm bonkers aren't I?

OP posts:
tiddleypompom · 26/06/2012 09:31

harpie you are indeed bonkers :o

...and keep off google !

Time better spent browsing Isabella Oliver for lovely horribly expensive maternity clothes.

Second/third-timers: please tell me that you have small tummies already?? Why don't I have any stomach muscles??

LoisLame · 26/06/2012 10:00

tiddley took a while for me to get a little bump last time, but lower half of my stomach felt harder from quite early on. Only found out when I was 6 weeks last time so would have been around 7 or 8 weeks. HTH

LoisLame · 26/06/2012 10:01

Also, someone please tell me it's too early to buy a pair of maternity jeans. Got a discount code for Dorothy Perkins, 25% off and delivery for £1 and very tempted but know the sensible thing to do is to wait til 12 weeks.

kurlyvoice · 26/06/2012 11:07

Can I join? :o

Got my BFP last night and again this morning after feeling sick and tired all day. Think I'm due 5th March. This was our third cycle of trying for dc2 - DS is 15 months. With him, I didn't find out I was pg until I was about 8 weeks gone as my cycles were all over the pot so this knowing-so-early malarkey is scary!

Have just had a read through the thread and congrats to everyone on their BFPs and so many new houses too! Sorry that people have had miscarriages before these BFPs - I'm so scared that something will happen to this tiny little poppyseed.

I've already made an appointment with the midwife (no need for gp here) and my main topic of discussion then will be how I'm going to be monitored as I had preeclampsia with DS and he had to arrive 6 weeks early...

Off to buy a clearblue digital conception thingy as having it in writing makes it a bit more real!

bbface · 26/06/2012 11:29

Hi all, beautiful day! Are we all from the UK?

Yes, I do already have a slight tummy. Ridiculous. I bet you are skinny tiddley? Last pregnancy I end up looking like an utterly deformed bean pole.

Re. Buying early maternity clothes, go with your gut. The delicious feeling of slipping proper maternity wear, rather than shoehorning yourself into your ordinary jeans, is unbeatable! It happened to me around the 12 week mark. I am looking forward to getting all my stuff out, I loved it, although quite work orientated and I am now a sahm. I recommend mothercare and top shop and Isabella Harvey for fabulous t shirts and dresses. Pricey, but you feel and look fab.

My lovely one is clawing at me for lunch, so must go now x

tiddleypompom · 26/06/2012 12:06

Hello kurly! Welcome aboard, and congratulations :o

What did the digi test say?

bb I am not skinny - was a size 8 before DS but I'd say I was more of a size 10 now. I know what you mean about a beanpole with bump though! I was just gutted I didn't get ginormous boobs till my milk came in - everyone else seems to but not me

Maternity clothes - I have £170 worth of clothes in my virtual basket at Isabella Oliver at the moment! Daren't press 'buy' quite yet... However, a new pair of maternity jeans in the dotty p sale is another matter & should be encouraged!! I need to remember it'll be cold when we're largest so pretty summer dresses are Not Practical :o

bbface · 26/06/2012 12:50

Remember the mumsnet discount code for Isabella!

EricNorthmansFangBanger · 26/06/2012 13:50

Welcome kurly :) I think my EDD is on 5th march as is Ju's

How is everyone today? I've been quite tired and napped on the couch. Feeling so warm, a bit crampy and have an achy back too. Been googling for early scans as I'm totally paranoid

I agree knowing so early is scary. I've found out early with each pregnancy and it makes the wait til 12 weeks feel like a mini marathon!

I'm in West Yorkshire bb

I joined a group like this when I was pregnant with DD2 and found it so helpful. A few of us set up a private Facebook group and we're all still on there, its really nice :)

Is anyone else thinking about an early scan or is it just my neurotic self?

bbface · 26/06/2012 14:33

Goodness, what a lazy arvo I am having. DS is having a marathon nap, I am watching 'the help'... I would recommend.

Anyway, welcome kurly.

Yes, me too thinking early scan. I had one last time, because I found out late and realised with panic that I had gone on a very big work night out whilst a couple weeks pregnant. I was beside myself with worry, so gp referred me, hearing the heartbeat at 6 weeks was beautiful. I will ask for an early, but unlikely.

Oh it is hard knowing so early, bloody hard.

I am in the process of launching an offensive on DH to book a hol for September, as last (and indeed first!) easy family holiday as just three. I am thinking Porto sani in Greece, late sept. anyone been there or any recommendations?

AuntieJu · 26/06/2012 22:21

Hi eric and kurly and congratulations! Yes it's so hard knowing early - each day seems to last forever. And still I'm only 4 weeks pregnant, ridiculous!

I don't have too many symptoms apart from extreme tiredness. I've had a couple of early starts with work which hasn't helped. AF was due today and no sign so that's a starter for 10 - planning another test tomorrow am to reassure me.

kurly I'm also hoping to have an early scan. Not sure if I'll get one on NHS or not, I was assured I could have one after my mc, but have since moved to a different part if the country do don't know if the rules are the same here - I've still not managed to register with gp, better do that soon so I can get on the system.

eric your talk of ELCS and VBACs scared me a bit - I'm just about comfortable with 'being' pregnant but actually physically having the baby - argh! Scared!

AuntieJu · 26/06/2012 22:30

Sorry bb, I've only ever been to Greek islands, I assume Porto Sani is on the mainland?

We're off on hols in August with my whole family- parents, 2 sisters, their partners and my gorgeous nephew. All inclusive in Majorca - I can't wait! It was going to be a cava fest, but I guess I'll be on the lemonade - humph!

Leftwingharpie · 27/06/2012 07:10

Bbface I'm not sure about Greece for a relaxing time at the moment, their economy is really unstable, I don't know if it will have a relaxed holiday atmosphere. You'd certainly get it cheap though because a lot of tourists are going elsewhere.
