Morning!!!

Thought I'd start the new thread with Gwen's title now in case I fill the other one with my moaning.

I'll do the stats at a more normal time of day unless anyone else does it first.

10000fireflies · 20/06/2012 03:24

Just signing into the insomnia club Horrid acid reflux burning away at throat and I just want to sleep so much before induction. Sad
Congrats to Dairy. Glad you go there in the end. Was quite worrying what you were going through. Love the name. Such a tiny baby too!
Gwennie have given up on parking ticket and will just pay damn thing. Grrrr. I blame the blummin sunshine. Must have been lovely to hear from your bro. Hope your roof is sorted soon.
JWC internet shopping totally counts as nesting!! Great news on the show. Hope labour is imminent!
special congrats on the arrival of your LO and may I also compliment you on his name? those are some possible for our LO if a boy!! Hope you?re recovering and he?s feeding ok now.
shelduck congrats on the safe arrival of Daniel. Sorry to hear about bitch agency MW and that it was a bit traumatic getting there.
AmethystMoon how are your feet? Gosh, these men just don?t understand, do they? I mean, you can?t have just any old nail buffer, now can you? It?s got to be the right one! What?s the latest? Did all that pain amount to anything?
cathfin hope those pains are a sign.
emblosion feeling any better? Any more signs of labour?
Ooo, and surf too?? Labour must be imminent now you?ve had show and waters have broken.
pink how did your induction go?
mini hope you get some signs soon.
Hi fellow due-dater fluffy. Was wondering how you were doing. Sorry sweep was sore. Mine was ok, not at all painful, but nothing much happened afterwards.
Novmamma congrats on the arrival of your little girl. Sorry to hear it was traumatic and you?re still in pain. Hope recovery continues and you feel better soon.
McKayzcongrats on the safe arrival of Rosalie. Lovely name!! Enjoyed reading the lead up to her arrival!

Seems like it was quite a busy past 36 hours. Lots of lovely new arrivals. Disappointed that have to be induced. Signs were looking good - daily monitoring had shown uterus contracting gently, but regularly, got some grumblings after sweep Sat, but by Monday, zero. So bag pretty much packed and by door. Just waiting to hear from hospital what time they want me in. Hope not to be too grouchy but haven't had much sleep one way or another in past two days.

Monitoring Tues AM showed all good with me/baby. BP/pulse down from past few days (but a lot of the higher reading were as a result of being unbelievably scared by what had been going on at monitoring appt Friday.) MW doing it declared baby to be 'very happy and snug in there and not ready to come out'! Don't I just know it!! Sad to have to start eviction process, but really can't bear to leave it any longer after all the pressure they've put on me.

Preggers friend came over for avo so we sat in sunshine with iced coffees and lemonade, then back to mine and lounged in garden with strawbs, icecream and Schloer's fake Pimms (fruit punch flavour- is actually pretty good), and had a good old obsess about the minutiae of late pregnancy. Was the perfect way to spend avo. Had a quick chat with Mum, then Dh home in good time, and was generally nice, so all good. Now if this acid reflux would go away, I could get some more sleep before the big event!!

Will post an update as soon as I can, but don't know if hosp has internect cnx.

Good luck to all you other lovelies waiting to go into labour. FF xx

surfmama · 20/06/2012 03:31

TeaandHobnobs · 20/06/2012 03:42

Congratulations on all the new arrivals Dairy, Special, Novmama (I wondered if that was why you had been so quiet!), and my due date buddy McKayz! (one day early too! Grin)

Good luck to those still remaining, sounds like another wave of babies is on the way now too Thanks

10000fireflies · 20/06/2012 04:10

surf Grin at your live cx commentary. Sounds like your Dh might have to stay closer to home. Good luck!!

Slight period grumbling pains. Cmon baby!! Would be so nice to get going at home instead of hospital.

Going to have a swig of Gaviscon and go back to bed. If no cx then want sleep!!

surfmama · 20/06/2012 04:23

fire flies spleen 6 is a pressure point 4 fingers up inside leg from ankle in betweem bone and muscle, give it a good rub on each leg every half hour? worh a try...

DairyNips · 20/06/2012 05:45

Meant to say, Massive congratulations ShelduckGrin! Lovely name and perfect weight! Sorry you had a bit of a rough time, well done for getting through itSmile

DairyNips · 20/06/2012 05:47

Surf very excited for you, won't be long nowSmile

FF hope you go in to labour at the last minute but if not I'm sure the induction will be ok. Tbh my 2nd labour that was an induction was probably the easiest/shortest so it's not all badSmile

FluffyMitchell · 20/06/2012 08:50

Congratuations mckayz, what a beautiful name.

FluffyMitchell · 20/06/2012 08:51

ooops I meant 'congratulations' of course...baby is pressing on the nerve that controls ability to type...

gwenniebee · 20/06/2012 09:48

Congratulations McK :)

Gosh - it's all go here now! Apart from in the Bee household but I am not complaining! I was speaking to my neighbour yesterday who is eight weeks behind me and was griping away about how the time was going to go so quickly for me, but think of her as she still had eight weeks. I was a bit Hmm as I know she has another eight weeks to go, but equally she is not as massive and uncomfortable as me yet!! But it made me feel bad about how I have been griping on here about wanting it all to get moving when I am still a week from my due date and others are well over theirs and have much more reason to whinge! Blush [apologises profusely and skuttles into corner]

Am considering leaving roof man for my NCT friends..... is this akin to adultery?

emblosion · 20/06/2012 09:50

mckayz Hooray! Congratulations on the safe arrival of Rosalie :) am looking forward to seeing a pic.
X

fireflies sympathies on the heartburn, its awful isn't it? Hope you managed to get some sleep. Is your induction today? Good luck and hope things sneakily get going first! am loving the sound of the pretend pimms also...

Surf hope you're ok, am thinking of you. Sounds like you could be holding your baby soon!

JWC sounds very promising, hope everything kicks off for you too....

Any news from pink?

Nothing happening here (sigh) I'll be the only one left at this rate! On the upside am feeling much better, think I must have had a bit of a bug or something.

Hello to all fellow stragglers!

emblosion · 20/06/2012 09:58

lol gwennie not really adultery more playing the field?

I know what you mean about feeling a bit guilty about moaning, my official due date isn't til Saturday. It just feels like there is no more room in there! The only way is out.....

coops forgot to say my DH has been doing bump-whispering too (today it was 'don't come out' though, cos he has headed off for a job interview)!

Coops79 · 20/06/2012 11:03

Morning All - and Happy Due Date to me and Cathfin - I'm also resigned to many more midwife appointments to come. Was awake at 4am with a burning desire to write a blog post about modern feminism and the politics of breastfeeding. Not quite sure where that came from. Then returned to bed and listened to my hypno-CD.

Emblosion and Gwenniebee, my DH has now moved on from "bump whispering" to prodding it with his foot and occasionally yelling "get a move on" up my skirt (it's really not an abusive relationship, honestly). He really doesn't want to do his meeting tomorrow.

Yesterday I ate an entire pineapple, more because I could than because I thought it would do any good.

Oh and Gwenniebee don't feel bad about moaning - I'm feeling thoroughly healthy and well today whereas last week I felt rubbish. It all comes and goes; you complain as much as you need to.

I'm going to drive to Frome which is about 8 miles away - that should be inconvenient enough to start things off don't you think?

Have a lovely day all.
xxxx

gwenniebee · 20/06/2012 11:57

coops Grin that's brilliant! Last night I wrote OUT YOU COME..... but DH says I should have written it in mirror writing as SmallBee won't read it the same way round as I will........... am worried I've been doing it wrong now...... Hmm

Happy Due Date, by the way Thanks

emblosion DH announced last night we are now officially in "the danger zone" again so please would I hold on until about 5pm on Monday. Easy for him to say...

Playing the field with NCT friends definitely more fun than staying in with roof man. I had cuddles with a two week old - smallest baby I've held since being pregnant so a bit of an oooh moment! Normally when I rest things on the bump its occupant objects, but it was quite calm under its little friend so I hope that bodes well for future relations!

CathFin · 20/06/2012 13:55

Congrats to all the new babies. Am having a drama here so won't be on much. DS had a wheezing attack last night after having a cough for a couple of days so I have been up and A&E with him and they have admitted him probably overnight, fingers crossed my baby does not decide to come in the next 24 hours. Hubby at hosp with him now and for the night too.
Me at home with DD and parents 2.5 hours away - not ideal although I do have emergency help if needed close by.
Just want to cry which is not helpful!

Coops79 · 20/06/2012 16:50

CathFin you poor thing. Hope your DS is ok; have a good cry if you need to (may be more helpful than you think). Have you got anyone nearby who can come and be with you and your DD, just for a bit of company and support? Will be sending out lots of good vibes in your direction.

Gwenniebee I shudder to think what DH will get up to tonight.

I have achieved a grand total of bugger all today apart from some shopping. Feeling rather guilty about it as DH will have had a horrid day. Tomorrow I will try harder.

DairyNips · 20/06/2012 18:16

Sorry to hear that Cathfin hope your ds is better and back home asap. Thinking of you x

McKayz · 20/06/2012 18:53

Congrats to Amethyst, Nov and McK.

Cathfin - hope your wee lad is ok.

gwenniebee · 20/06/2012 22:00

Cathfin that sounds horrific for you all :( Hope he gets better soon.

News from the Beehive is that the roof is mended! Yay! :)

Sleep well all....

DairyNips · 20/06/2012 22:32

Back home with baby Oscar, all seems a bit surreal! Will be mayhem when the boys are up in the morning.. Anyone know where the post natal thread is? Can't find the link..

This is the postnatal one I think. I'm not there yet :( Very glad you are, though, Dairy :)
