June 2012 - The Jubilee Train has been delayed owing to the wrong sort of dates on the line. We have now arrived at Post-Natal Station and all passengers should disembark as quickly as possible!

Morning!!!

Thought I'd start the new thread with Gwen's title now in case I fill the other one with my moaning.

I'll do the stats at a more normal time of day unless anyone else does it first.

exBB - we also have a facebook page where we are sharing the pain/glory, if you message Kveta or DairyNips they can add you, its private so its only for us not the whole world to see.
Glad they are treating you well and you have done your first bf!

Hello again!

Baby Noah was born on Sunday at 9.50pm after a 6.5 hour labour. The minute my waters were broken, the contractions started thick and fast! There was SO MUCH water, as I had Polyhydramnios - glad that didn't go in Tesco!

Used gas and air, then pethidine. Just remember feeling drunk, and as if I was sat on a club toilet in my younger days, with a very spinny head! Decided an Epidural would be a good idea, but no anesthetists available. Suddenly felt the urge to push whilst writhing around with my gas and air, and it was time!!

Anesthetist arrived at that point, and I just kept telling him I needed a poo (gas and air...). As I was 10 cm, the epidural didn't take, so felt everything owwwwwwwww.

Pushing was very scary. Noah had been back to back throughout the labour, and high up, but he turned and descended, and when he was born I could not believe it.

The midwives were brilliant, as was Mr Tortoise. They left us in the room for two hours for skin-skin, and bonding. It made such a difference to the experience I had, compared to the birth of my daughter four years previously.

Had a 2nd degree tear as Noah was born at 8lb 12 with a hand presentation. Stitches really hurt, and seem to be getting worse, so went to GP today - got antibiotics and Diclofenac.

I hope everyone is okay, and that Gwennie's silence means a baby! ExBB - I hope you are okay, and that baby BB is okay too. That must have been very scary, and I think you are amazingly brave. Everyone is thinking of you and your little one xx
