ps. I had no signs at all until my waters broke then 7h later i had a baby in my arms so don't worry too much about lack of signs

coops at your dh. I have been using cuticle oil on my bump (I figured it was just very moisturising and as someone bought it for me and I never used it, I've used it instead of other anti-stretch stuff!) So I have been using the nozzle to graffiti on myself occasionally. Last night I wrote COME OUT :) So we clearly have the same strategies.

Just got back from my scan - all normal and cephalic so that's a relief. Estimated weight is 3.142kg which I think sounds quite manageable - but equally I think these estimates are sometimes quite off, are they not? Was lovely to see the baby again and still no wiser on the gender which is good as I'd have been disappointed to find out so soon to actually meeting him/her!

Well it's stopped. Been about an hour since my last contraction. I've been awake since 4am. So I think I'm going to do lunch and then persuade DS2 to nap with me.

Congrats to all the new arrivals and hello fellow stragglers. Just had a sweep which was v. Sore but might jiggle things around. Mw said my cervix is soft but far back. Hope things happen soon as I am quite bored and emotional.

God, I'm struggling now but today I have found stuff to do. Have bought DS a big boy potty and trainer seat for the toilet in Mothercare and finally got around to buying a thermometer - mainly because it sounds like DS has got croup again which would be the third time this year but I'm planning on leaving him unless he gets a temperature.
Then I bought DD some shorts as she doesn't seem to have any and its sports day at playschool soon.
And then I did my delivery round for my nct newsletter. All in the car but getting in and out was challenge enough.

Hope everyone else waiting is finding things to do! Funny I think with DS I was much more chilled out with my due date as DD was 10 days late. As DS arrived on time I have been expecting this one early or on time but it's only got one day left now so I'm resigning myself to making my 41 week midwife appointment on the 28th.....

McKayz - hope things start moving for you soon - so frustrating when it starts and stops!

Hi - can't believe its been a week since I posted to say something had started.

BabyNov born just after midnight on 13th June. Baby girl - absolutely gorgeous - just over 7lbs. Long labour followed by another emergency c/s unfortunately! Last thing I wanted - got to 8cm dilated, waters broke, contractions coming thick and fast - but previous scar was causing problems and blood loss a worry. Was all fairly traumatic.

Stiill in quite a bit of pain 6 days later - came home 2 days ago. Much slower recovery 2nd time around.

Will post a more detailed story...

Still having irregular contractions. They bloody hurt. I feel like this is going to go on for days.

Oh dear McKayz, I'm getting some cramps, not sure I want days of cramps either!
DS has just gone to sleep in my bed having coughed continuously all day long, so will have to go to doc tomorrow I think. Not sure what we will do if he is poorly and I go into labour as he is my cling-on when he's not well!

Congrats Novmama - shame about the ECS and slow recovery but great news your DD is here!
