Hi everyone, as we were close to the 1000 message limit i thought i should start a new thread so we could link this one (and we don't all end up wandering in cyberspace for a few days again Grin)

Hi all! Found this thread. I just had my 12 week scan which turned out I'm actually at 13 weeks. All looked good, but I still worry a bit. I couldnt' belive how much that little nut bounced around in there! I had no idea s/he was all tap dancing, doing yoga, hopping like a toad, I can't feel a thing. It was totally surreal. This is my first, obvs.

DH was quite entertained, as was the tech!

Due date has been moved to the 20th! So should have the baby before the Mayan end of the world!

DH is also pleased as punch disappointed that the December due date means we will not be travelling to his family's for Christmas/NY as I am not interested in long trips immediately after giving birth the first time!

Clarella · 20/06/2012 15:51

Congratulatuons nicnac and toxie!

It's a scary thought pidg but at least mega safe care for chick.

I am bloody humungous today - is there a day where you just pop out? Practically flat stomach on Monday, proper baby curve from boobs to legs today and gets in way when bend down. Need to try and do a bump picture soon but would have to do some back ground arranging/ tidying! The joys of building work means giving up on housework till its done!

I got my old pilates/gym ball out of the roof - what should I do on it? It was nice to bounce on it ....

Mummycox · 20/06/2012 16:12

Welcome nicnac.

Pidjin get ye to a doctor

Bubbless I'm still feeling stretches, aches and pains - side effect of endo - but all fine, things are supposed to move and stretch for time to come

Just returned from 16 week apptmt, heard baby's heartbeat sounds like a galloping horse, (s)he's low with heartbeat at 140 so Pobble is pretty chilled. Not being seen again by mw till 25 weeks.

Happy days Grin

ToxicMoxie · 20/06/2012 16:22

Clarella, I had the same thing happen to me! I'm happily still fitting in my pants, when suddenly they are all tight and uncomfortable. It seems to happen overnight!

knottyhair · 20/06/2012 16:35

Will try to catch up properly later (sorry!) but just to say scan went well, got some lovely pictures of the baby and he/she was moving around A LOT! Pidjin, hope you get on OK at the doctor and Stacy, hope your scan went well.

annelid · 20/06/2012 16:48

So, went to EPAU to get checked over, especially as I'm rhesus -ve. Got given some anti D and had a quick scan to make sure everything was okay, and it was. Nothing to indicate where the bleed was from so, phew!

PurplePidjin · 20/06/2012 17:34

I have ibuprofen and support tights. Support tights! I'm soooooooo ooooooooooooooooooold Sad

I'm to go back on Friday if not better

SpottyTeacakes · 20/06/2012 17:58

Excellent news everyone Smile

Stacks · 20/06/2012 18:15

Afternoon everyone. It's taken me the whole day today to catch up with the thread. Been an annoying day in work, but it's over now.

I was going to say earlier twobecomethree - my nuchal measurement was 1.7, and my final result was 1 in 100,000. Of course it takes your bloods and things into account. Not sure if that's reassuring - I was 12w exactly at the scan, but they measured me as 12+3.

Also - it feels like my guts are wriggling.. I wonder if this is the baby? I'm 15w today.

JoJoB77 · 20/06/2012 18:35

I'd say it could very well be yhe baby Stacks. I felt DD at around 16 weeks but it felt like little bubbles popping in my belly. This time i felt them start just last week & im only 14+2 although i understand u feel things a little earlier with 2nd etc.

How exciting Grin

WeeDot · 20/06/2012 18:40

Hello everyone

acjfluff · 20/06/2012 18:52

I had a letter from the hospital today telling me that my nuchal screening has come back as low risk (yay) but you all seem to have actual figures and stuff. I'm just wondering what's the usual thing. Did you contact them to get number results? I suppose it doesn't matter as low risk, just curious.

Equimum · 20/06/2012 19:28

Great to read sso much good news.
Pidgin I hope you got on okay with the dr this'd afternoon.

Had my 12 week scan this morning. Was really nervous but as soon as the image cam up on the screen, baby jumped. Wass sso relieved that everything seemed okay. This scan agreed with the early one I had, so due earlier than initially predicted on 24th!

mwahmwah · 20/06/2012 19:44

Oh god, pulled Ds (21 months) out of bath and he merrily crawls away at hyper speed while I get dd (6 yrs) out next. Leave dd to dry herself, find ds sitting in my dining room butt naked squashing a massive, fresh, just produced poo between his hands. Ffs, kids??? Just a nice story for all the first time mummies, its dead glam being a mum! Xxx

Clarella · 20/06/2012 19:51

Hi weedot, you found us!

Great news pidgin, hope it does the trick.

Lol mwah! the children I teach do do that sort of thing and worse but they're much older so I kinda feel prepared for that sort of thing - DH isn't though!

SpottyTeacakes · 20/06/2012 19:54

Haha mwah! At least he wasn't eating it Wink

PurplePidjin · 20/06/2012 20:07

I work with people with learning difficulties. I've prevented students eating someone else's vomit, and cleaned up when one used poo to go ice skating on the laminate floor. Also urine and faeces used as lubricant...

Definitely TMI Wink

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 20/06/2012 20:31

Hi people Grin

Knotty glad scan was ok

Pidj glad that you went to the docs!

Well.........my scan was wonderful, we got to see little tadpole who was rather camera shy and turned his/her back every time the sonographer tried to take a picture lol! I'm now 14+3 so they couldn't do the nuchal fold so I have to go for bloods next week instead, but such is life. They've changed my date to the 16th dec!

We told the kids and they were super excited, I haven't had my belly stroked this much in years lol! They both kissed the baby goodnight earlier too, soooo cute! Grin I am so happy right now!

FriendofDorothy · 20/06/2012 20:43

The 16th is an excellent date Stacey!

NaomiRuth · 20/06/2012 20:47

Fantastic news on the recent scans! Welcome to the new ones!

My colleague was staring at my tummy yesterday (had only told boss so far). It was so funny, she then apologised for staring and the other colleagues sitting nearby wondered what on earth was going on as they were at a different angle. She totally guessed so I just told them all. I didn't think I was that big, just a slightly bigger tummy!! I think it gets big later in the day though!

Have bought quite a few maternity clothes, would recommend Seraphine, they have some nice casual tunics for under £20 in the sale, good for over leggings. And I bought a lovely dress and finally some comfy maternity tights that don't squash my expanding tummy.

I'm really struggling to get comfortable in bed, keep rolling over all the time after trying to stay on my side. Anyone got any tips - should I get a special maternity pillow??

SpottyTeacakes · 20/06/2012 20:49

I just used a V cushion with dd and I found it good, but that's when I was bigger. I used to put one side between my legs to stop my hips hurting and one side under my bump. Oh the joys of things to come...... Wink

NaomiRuth · 20/06/2012 20:50

PS. Is anyone else talking to their baby yet? Or is it just me going crazy?? Since the scan it feels so much more real.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 20/06/2012 20:54

I have a spare pillow under my leg as I tend to sleep on my side but roll onto my stomach in the night so I need the pillow there to stop me squashing the bump lol!

I have been talking to tadpole since day 1 tbh but I'm rather mental Grin
