Sc0ttishlass I get laughed at too about my need for Bridgewater in my house, DH doesn't understand the allure of it Wink but he understands the cost. His idea of hell is anything more than 5 minutes in the factory shop. Hope your placenta moves out of the way in time.

I must be nesting, have been washing down the skirting boards in the nursery and i've put the crib together. I'm also on my third load of washing (baby stuff) today. My pelvis is killing me now but I can't settle till it's done. On the plus side i've been on my hands and knees alot so maybe that will encourage him to turn.

MrsMigginslovespies · 20/06/2012 14:39

Oooh, Frilly, please can I come round Wink. Season 8?! Am in awe!

Am currently baking yummy smelling banana loaf, have done some shopping and am about to sort out some things in the black hole aka nursery. MIL seems to be making stuff up about DH's job, saying she'll be very surprised if we're here in a year. What?! Stresses me out, as don't want/need her meddling. Think DH needs to stop telling her as much/filter things out until there's a firm decision. She's coming round next week to sort out blessed curtain linings so I guess will see what happens then I wanted to send them to cheapo lady round the corner for a tenner but MIL wants to bring sewing machine etc and do them here which I can't be arsed with as I hate sewing. Ungrateful me, I know, but I just want to get on with things. Will stop ranting now!

Cake is done, off to remove from oven. Smells yum. Sending you all a piece x

frillylemons · 20/06/2012 15:20

Yes MrsM, come over but bring cake Wink

I'm home from work now Smile Usually do 9-5 but have some annual leave left to take as an when and my manager suggested I go home at 3 as I looked a bit peaky, I didn't tell her it was due to constipation! Currently sat in my garden wondering what to do...

MrsMigginslovespies · 20/06/2012 15:41

Sigh, sounds so nice Frilly. Sun has gone in and DH has gone camping. Doesn't bode well for a comfy night, bless him! Am ALMOST tempted to ask for GA insight, but will save myself for the next box set of series 7 when it eventually comes out here.

Think might have a nap, as feeling v tired after all my rushing about today.

ICEICEICEICEICEICEICEICEICEICEICEICEICEICEICEICEICEICEICEICEICEICEICEICE

Seriously I am just eating glasses of ice cubes now. Up til now my "cravings" have just been sort of preferences like toffee crisp over other chocolate bars and fresh fruit for breakfast instead of cereal but this ice thing is like an addiction.

What are your cravings August mums to be?? Grin

ps back from the castle sore from climbing!

pps apparently ice can indicate anemia but my bloods are fine so worry only for my teeth

32+4 (less than 8 weeks to go!!!)

Lovemarmite · 20/06/2012 16:32

Oh wow sc0ttish, LO arrival maybe in 6 weeks! My scans have shown a big baby, last one was at 28 weeks and we have another at 34 weeks. I'm a small build and so worried about birthing a big baby Shock Just hoping the next scan won't show us off the scale again!

Your cake sounds really yummy MrsMiggins, I might have to put some baking into practice tomorrow for a weekend cake... don't dare make it today as DH has gone to London for a black tie event and back tomorrow, leaving me alone and if with cake, disaster!

Sounds like you're having fun picture. I've been on all fours too but in the garden, trouble is - it's hard for me to get up again Wink

frillylemons · 20/06/2012 17:23

My craving is sour stuff...lemons mainly!

frillylemons · 20/06/2012 17:24

And milk...but not at the same time! Eww.

fairtradelu · 20/06/2012 18:01

My most recent craving was chocolate cake and custard. Had to have it on Sunday afternoon and it was divine! I've been eating quite a lot of pears recently too which I don't normally like, but no crazy ice cube type cravings... Yet!!!

To be honest, I'm a little disappointed my body hasn't been more creative!

Whiteangel · 20/06/2012 18:44

No cravings as such but have been buying sprite! Think I'm just thirsty and want something cold and refreshing. Used to always go for diet coke but been really good and only had one since being pg so I can spend my caffeine ration on tea!

Westcountrylovescheese · 20/06/2012 18:46

No cravings here Sad

Glimpers · 20/06/2012 18:53

Steak here!

frillylemons · 20/06/2012 19:20

FairTrade!!! I'm the same! Was so hoping I would crave really weird stuff!!

Does anyone else's LO get hiccups ALL THE TIME?! Mine does...wonder what it means Hmm

susiegrapevine · 20/06/2012 19:50

Hey all had 31 week appointment today and glucose in my urine again so had blood taken for random sugar test. If that comes back bad then will have to do gtt. Also baby measuring 35cm!!! So have been sent for a growth scan! Am excited to see my baby again and not worried as I can't see how he will be that big when ds was just 5lb 12 and always measure the right amount of cm for his weeks. Anyway I hope none of this stuff will compromise my home birth desires. But excited to see baby again. Am blaming anterior placenta for big measurements anyway! Just hope I don't have gestational diabieties especially with only 9 weeks to go. Still sounding like I smoke 40 a day tho!!

Vinolover · 20/06/2012 19:51

Evening all

Wow, it's been really busy on here :)

sc0ttish that's really exciting, the thought of having LO in 6 weeks time! I'm a bit Envy as I just can't wait to meet my baby boy now!

Frilly my baby always has the hiccups too! It's really quite sweet but I can't concentrate on anything when it happens.

Have to say, there is nothing to report from me! I hope everyone else has had some fun :)

NeedlesCuties · 20/06/2012 20:20

frilly I'm Envy as DS never hiccuped when I was pregnant with him, and this LO hasn't done so either. I want to know what it feels like!

ham with DS's pregnancy I craved Picked Onion Monster Munch crisps. So much so that my sis bought me a box of them from the cash and carry for my birthday (when I was 4 months pregnant!)

With this pregnancy the hyperemeis has buggered up my ideas for what eating is, never mind cravings. However, at its worst the only thing I could keep down was croissants so I ate them pretty much exclusively from about week 8 to week 13! Blush

eightieshopaholic · 20/06/2012 20:35

Had my scan today 32+3 baby 4IBS 15OZ so they think will be 7IB at 34wks Its going to be a big one!!

The consultant was happy with scan, asked if they would let me go over she said up to 41 weeks so could be over 10IBS by then OMG!!!

MrsMigginslovespies · 20/06/2012 20:43

I'm having the opposite thing with food at the mo. I can't be bothered with anything and not much appeals to me. Had some baguette and cheese for supper. I feel full really quickly and just can't get much interest. Meh.

signet2012 · 20/06/2012 20:52

First day off work and I can say other than putting a couple of wash loads in I have done absolutely bugger all!

Starting baby's nursery tomorrow I have stuff dumped all over the house and really need to get it all in one place so I can see what I have Grin on the plus I have bought barely anything so it's mostly given things. Can't wait to get her room done so I can put everything in one place and it nice.

eightieshopaholic · 20/06/2012 21:01

No major cravings just keep fancying diet vinto and chocolate but could be because I was on a diet for 12mts prior to pregnancy to had very little chocolate before!!

frillylemons · 20/06/2012 21:26

Needles, you know when you get a twitchy eye or eyebrow when tired? Well it's kinda like that but in utero! Very odd Smile

Lovemarmite · 20/06/2012 21:28

Ahhh I'm now not looking at the JL sale as it's just 'Opened'!
My rather lovely change bag is in there so I could have got it cheaper - pants!
Oh well, that will teach me in buying things early... hope there's a bargain in there for some of us!

tashaw28 · 20/06/2012 21:55

Hiccups driving me mad but when they happen at least I know it's still head down, am paranoid now cos DS2 was breech and I ended up with a c section!

Love which bag did u get as I just looked at the sale and they are lovely!! Not much else on there though, they never put the really useful stuff on sale, so annoying!

No unusual cravings here, just chocolate and ice cream Wink

31+3

Lovemarmite · 20/06/2012 22:02

I got the Orla Keily one with bright colours - a complete cheer up present during a difficult time!
Expensive but was worth the pennies at the time, not sure if it's going to hold many reusable nappies though :)

Gnomi · 20/06/2012 22:38

Oh you lucky lucky people starting your maternity leave now! I've still got over four weeks to go (I'll be 38 weeks then) until I finish. Is anyone else struggling with swollen ankles again? I think it's the heat. I'm also paranoid about leaning back with my feet up that the baby will go back to back... aaarrrgghhhh!!!!

Love and Tashaw, I haven't got a proper changing bag yet, I love the pacapod ones but don't know if i can justify the expense for poo though Smile Off to have a look at JL next.

Ham, I had exactly the same craving over the weekend. My other cravings have been for milk and raw carrots... with the ice I really wanted the crunch, not sure if it did my teeth any good though!

We are also having a new kitchen. I keep reminding the builders that we could be bringing a baby home in 4 weeks, hoping it'll speed them up but it seems to be going fairly slowly to me. DH is very relaxed about it, but I just want to clean up the mess and dust. This must be the nesting settling in.

Hope you all get some sleep tonight Smile
