Hi!

Thought I would start this thread as I found out I was pregnant on Saturday and a few of you were saying you had also found out this weekend!

Do come and share!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
LookAtHerGo · 16/06/2012 09:04

Oops, very nearly passed out this morning. That's never happened before with an ear infection for me, so I'm thinking I might be a wonky kind of early pg lady! I hope it doesn't happen again.

LittleMissSnowShine · 16/06/2012 09:19

I have ages to wait til scan! Envy GP appt is on 26th, then he'll refer me to hospital to see midwife and have booking in appt, and THEN i'll get a scan...weeks away!! Have to keep reminding myself I'm only 4+3, so shouldn't really be getting a scan for about 6 weeks anyway lol It's just cos I got an early early scan last time cos my cycles were so wonky that by dates I was about 5 weeks ahead of what I should have been, so by dates I was 11 weeks and they scanned me, but baby was only 6 weeks. Not much to see, but v exciting!

somethingwitty - Also tempted to take another test, just cos not too many symptoms yet and so long to wait until scan. But i've already done 2 first response tests and a clearblue digi so just going to have to wait patiently sigh

DS is normally a great sleeper but he was up loads during the night and the last week or so i've been sleeping v restlessly at night too so flipping wreckd this morning. Cbeebies on the sofa!

somethingwittynot · 16/06/2012 10:04

Ok so by the date of the first day of my last period I'm 4+4 so I should be 5 weeks exactly when I see the gp. I keep getting either the 19th or 22nd for EDD.

starlight36 · 16/06/2012 18:44

Can i join too? Expected DC2 on 5 Feb according to online calendars. Scan to confirm on 18 July. Excited but a bit overwhelmed too as have 18 mth old DD, whilst this is very much planned and wanted am still wondering how we will all adapt.
No sickness (yet) but feel shattered the whole time.

LittleMissSnowShine · 16/06/2012 19:45

Hi starlight! My DS is 21 months, and this preg is planned for me (tho DS wasn't ha ha) but i'm still wondering how we're going to cope and i'm also wrecked, so come on in and take a seat (or curl up for a snooze!)

somethingwitty - they don't give you your "official" due date til the big 20 week scan cos they seem to feel that the measurements they take off that give the best indication of when the baby is due. most people's date only moves by around a day or so, but mine moved from 3rd Aug (which is what it would have been going by my last period) to 28th Aug...and then DS didn't arrive til 30th Aug! So I wouldn't worry too much about getting diff EDD from those online calculator things, you'll get your EDD in a few month's time. In saying that, I downloaded the baby centre pregnancy app for my phone and it was telling me I had 250 days or something to do y'day!

somethingwittynot · 17/06/2012 07:32

With DS I had due dates the 19th, 20th, 24th, 25th and 26th! He came on the 25th I was given the 24th as a due date at my 13 week scan and it stayed the same at 21, 30, 31, 33, 34,and 39 week scans

QueenOfTheDrama · 17/06/2012 11:13

Morning ladies, just catching up with the thread, congrats to everyone who has joined since I last checked in Smile

EDD - from my LMP mine is 18th Feb but have had 20th Feb too on some online calculators. I'd be gutted if scan showed a was a lot less pregnant than I think I am! But I'm 5 weeks tomorrow by my dates and think this should be about right for all the symptoms I'm having! And my first BFP was at 3+4 by my dates, surely I wouldn't have had a BFP if I was any earlier than that?

somethingwittynot · 17/06/2012 12:08

My BFP was 14DPO but I have really irregular cycle lengths think I'm 5 weeks on tuesday. Had an early scan with DS at hat I thought was 10 weeks and they put me back a whole week!

Leftwingharpie · 17/06/2012 19:07

Hi everyone! Just got my BFP today! Don't want to get ahead of myself because it's very early days - but marking my place.

Congratulations to everybody on your pregnancies and hopefully look forward to getting to know you all!

LittleMissSnowShine · 17/06/2012 19:18

Hello harpie!!

I think EDD is invented to drive us crazy! Hardly any babies ever arrive on it lol Im in 2 minds about whether to ask demand elcs cos I had such a wretched delivery last time & the recovery time ended up being ages anyway but if I do that then I suppose I will end up knowing exactly what date the baby is coming which will be very weird!

QueenOfTheDrama · 17/06/2012 20:31

Hi harpie - I remember your name from one or two of the conception threads. Welcome & congratulations! Smile

littlemiss at least if you knew what time the baby was coming you could be really organised and everything would be ready, childcare arranged for your DS etc. Could be a good thing?

somethingwittynot · 17/06/2012 20:40

ill only have to have a section if i go overdue as i had a crash section with DS recovery time was three weeks in the hospital. booo!

LookAtHerGo · 17/06/2012 21:01

harpie you said you were going to wait before you came on here! Lol. Excitement got the better of you :o yay.

For the benefit of others harpie and I go way back to the waiting to try thread a couple of years ago, she has finally got her BFP after a long road of patiently waiting. I directed her this way :) I hope you don't mind me putting that harpie.

Leftwingharpie · 17/06/2012 21:02

Thanks QoftheD I have been on the conception threads since November 2009! I'll be very pleased to move on! When did you get your BFP?

Leftwingharpie · 17/06/2012 21:03

Oops LAHG xposted! I don't mind at all!

Leftwingharpie · 17/06/2012 21:04

Is anyone else STARVING? Grin

LittleMissSnowShine · 17/06/2012 21:41

Harpie - yes starving! Trying to snack healthilyish hee

Somethingwitty - u poor thing, that sounds dreadful. Really not sure whether I would go thru with elcs but I know i'll feel a lot more calm if I know that its an option. But hopefully it'll be a straightforward pregnancy & birth this time round - cant wait to meet this baby!

I've had my head in the fridge all weekend snacking away on all sorts of rubbish. I normally eat like a bird!

I'm not quite ready to meet the baby! I haven't quite got used to the idea that I'm pg yet!

somethingwittynot · 17/06/2012 23:34

im determined to get this baby out before 40+12!! VBAC all the way!

bloomingmarvellous · 18/06/2012 03:13

Leftwingharpie · 18/06/2012 06:55

blooming I hope you're feeling better!

LoisLame · 18/06/2012 08:20

Can I join in too? I've been a bit of a lurker on TTC threads. We've really just been NTNP but then this month installed fertility friend on my phone (not temping just tracking dates cos I'm crap!) Anyway been stupid kinds of tired all week, then really thirsty since Wednesday and the big tell tale symptom for me - crazy vivid dreams since about weds too. So tested yesterday with poundshop cheapy (in the M&S loos - classy me) and saw a very faint but definitely pink second line. That was cycle day 27 or 28 (still crap with the dates!) so tested again this morning, FMU, and again, poundshop test has a faint pink second line, but stronger than yesterday. So can I get my hopes up now? It's DH's birthday on Wednesday so think I will get a better test, take a photo and put it in his card. Try to keep my mouth shut til then. But I've been on a 1200 calories a day diet so going to have to do some secret eating so DH doesn't tell me off or catch on! Should have said at the beginning this will be DC2, due about 25th Feb. DD is 22 months (still breastfeeding) so if I really need to talk about it I can talk to her.

Sorry for the essay! Great to get everything out there. Going to in look at the test again - so happy, I can't believe it's real!

WhiteAnkleSocks · 18/06/2012 08:22

Blooming hope you have managed to get some sleep since your last post.

Welcome to all the new posters! It is so lovely to hear of more BFPs!

DD has been poorly all weekend and has been sleeping in our bed, attached to me like a limpet. I am knackered and practically falling asleep on train into work, but the thought of a half day (have Drs appt to get in the system, and one for DD to check that she doesn't have another ear infection) is keepig me going. I'm planning to be on the sofa for most of the afternoon.

WhiteAnkleSocks · 18/06/2012 08:24

X posted with Lois - congratulations! You can talk about it with us, that's what we're here for :)
