Hi!

Thought I would start this thread as I found out I was pregnant on Saturday and a few of you were saying you had also found out this weekend!

Do come and share!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

pain in my fanjo this morning and nearly threw up in my mouth. glam. as im really unsure of dates do you think GP/midwife would send me for an early scan?

WhiteAnkleSocks · 19/06/2012 08:18

Morning blooming and Lois.

Lois try the boots ones, I thought they were pretty good. But if you want, I have a spare first response that I can post to you? Pm me your address or let me know if you want to email me it and I'll give you my email address.

blooming I am starving too, constantly eating. Last night I munched through two bags of m&ms, just so that something was constantly in my mouth Blush. I am also totally exhausted and DD is super-clingy, which makes me cross and even more tired. Has anyone else with DCs noticed extra-clingyness? It could just be a stage.

With regards to work, I wad speakingto my mum yesterday and she said she hid her third pg for 6 months (!) so it is possible to get a job and work for a while before thy have to know. I think if you have worked for 26 weeks (6 months) out of the 66 weeks ending the week before your due date then you get MA, which is about £100 per week (better than nothing, which I was scared of getting). I have been in this job for nearly 6 months after being a SAHM for 6 years, but I hate commuting into London so was thinkin about trying to find somethig else. Still not sure what to do, tbh.

Have lovely days all, will come back when on train home this eve! Xx

Hi something, x-posted (what is wrong with me? Can only post MASSIVE posts!)

Yes, tell them you are really unsure and see what they can do for you. It might depend on where you are / how busy they are at the moment, and I think they prioritise women who are cramping /bleeding rather than unsure of dates, but you never know!

Leftwingharpie · 19/06/2012 08:40

God I had a weird dream last night, I dreamt I was breastfeeding a tiny baby in a yellow babygro but every time noone was looking I was also sneakily breastfeeding our cat! I have been worrying about how the new baby will affect our kitty, but I think that would be going too far! Grin

LoisLame · 19/06/2012 08:41

something You should just ask them, or should I say, insist to them. Say your last period was unusually light so not sure if you conceived this cycle or last. If your gp or mw and unhelpful, phone the hospital yourself.

white Thanks for the offer. Just looked online and digi's are £7 in Sainsbobs. Got something to return that's £4.20 so will pick one up there for a couple of pound outlay. I hope they are as good as people say :) Sounds like a PITA situation with your work. Would you be baldum stay there until maternity leave then start looking for something else after? My main worry is that if I get a job now, then in on ML in Jan, I'll feel like I've really let them down in a way. And my DD is not really being extra clingy, she's just a clingy child anyway!

LoisLame · 19/06/2012 08:42

leftwing just made me lol with your crazy dream! Better than mine about a chav throwing brown sauce at me in McDonalds!

somethingwittynot · 19/06/2012 08:45

i have to wait till friday until i can afford another test :( booooo

white my SIL got one but we are in different areas. just found out ive got to go to a family gathering on saturday where my evil SIL will be. not sure my hormones can cope Grin

Leftwingharpie · 19/06/2012 08:54

Haywire sorry to hear about the mc. 25 July must seem an age away! It's just one agonising wait after another this pg lark!

Want2bsupermum I'm jealous of you telling your friend's I'm bursting to tell people but DH wants to wait till I'm 12 weeks. 12 weeks??! I don't envy you looking for jobs at the moment though, I don't seem to have a very clear head.

Went into work an hour early by accident yesterday. Did a FR test this am and held the stick upside down for 3 minutes wondering why it wasn't working! Queenofthedrama I think I'm just very preoccupied with it all!

Something I do keep thinking to myself "what would you do if you had other DC?" but then I think "but I don't, so I'm off to bed!" Grin

Lois that card sounds perfect - as if it was made for this purpose! Well done for finding it! Your DH will love it! The Superdrug ones always get mentioned on here as super sensitive, you could try one of those.

Leftwingharpie · 19/06/2012 09:04

Lois that is quite a weird dream too to be fair!

somethingwittynot · 19/06/2012 09:28

ive only had two periods in 21 weeks!

Haywire · 19/06/2012 10:00

morning all

thanks leftwing it is pretty nerve-wracking everytime I go to the loo thinking will this be the end of it but on the other hand telling myself there is no reason why this one can't work out. luckily my dd is at school and I work 2 days a week so am able to rest in the day if needs be.

that is such a funny dream my dreams have also been very vivid but a little more ahem racy in nature had a humdinger about the actor John Simm last night (!)

bopfactory · 19/06/2012 13:08

Hi again all,

just ordered a load of ebay cheapy tests to try and put my mind at rest! Not sure how I feel today - boobs a bit sore this morning and I do feel very tired (though that's not unusual with 3 other DCs, plus the fact that youngest tends to start his day at 5am!)

Just can't shake the feeling that all isn't well... maybe I'm just being paranoid! Haven't been to GP to sort midwife appt yet - as I don't want to tempt fate! Will give it another week I think and see what pans out.

Lois why don't you put the actual test stick in the card?! Though you might have to do a 'fresh' one on the morning of your DH's birthday, as the lines tend to fade after a few days!

LoisLame · 19/06/2012 13:18

Well, went and got a CBD and glad I did! It's true there is nothing like actually seeing the word "pregnant" come up on the screen and now have a brilliant pic for the card. Can't wait til tomorrow now Grin

WhiteAnkleSocks · 19/06/2012 14:42

Well done Lois! I bet your DP will be over the moon! I told DH as soon as I got a funny feeling in my tummy, about a week before I got the BFP, so he was very blasé about the whole thing. Wish I'd waited and done a card like yours for fathers day!

Want2bSupermum · 19/06/2012 14:43

Hi y'all.

Blooming I had MS pretty badly last time. Are you taking prenatals? I don't know if it is a placebo effect or not but here in the US they give you a bag of different ones to try. Once I found these particular ones my MS diminished a lot. It might be worth you trying different ones. The ones that work well for me are called Select-obn.

leftwing I am a bit nervous. I spoke with a friend over the weekend and she has previously tried to hire me. I was open with her and told her my situation. She told me to call her next September and she will get me in.

LookAtHerGo · 19/06/2012 15:06

I'm just at home waiting on my mw coming round to do notes etc. I'm still feeling giddy all the time and I remember feeling like this last time but I was puking last time so blamed it on lack of food/drink as I could barely eat or drink.

I have fancied burger chips and onion rings for a week now, well I'm making (from scratch) burgers for tea so I bought some frozen onion ringsBlush bet they don't taste half as nice as I expect. Ham and fried egg sandwich for lunch, I mean really?

LookAtHerGo · 19/06/2012 15:06

Haywire you can be forgiven for the John Simm dream Grin

Haywire · 19/06/2012 15:26

Lookathergo lol actually I would not mind having that dream all over again. mmmm burger and chips sounds lovely dd loves onion rings we have the frozen ones as an occasional treat they are surprisingly good.

somethingwittynot · 19/06/2012 15:55

so have just been to the doctors and she was lovely. has sent of my refferal for an early pregnancy scan and ill get the appt through the post

QueenOfTheDrama · 19/06/2012 16:07

Loving all the funny dreams! Lois that card sounds perfect Smile

I am STARVING!! Can't wait to get home and eat!!

LookAtHerGo · 19/06/2012 16:19

I have notes. Pregnancy notes! Aaargh. A friend rang while I was going through the notes so I had to lie to her saying I had a friend around. I wasn't about to say oh the mw is here esp as she doesn't know yet! Confused I want to tell the world now!

somethingwittynot · 19/06/2012 16:22

i remeber going over and over my notes when i got them Grin

QueenOfTheDrama · 19/06/2012 16:24

Ohhh I can't wait to get my notes! Its definitely real then Grin

somethingwittynot · 19/06/2012 16:26

i get mine next thursday! pretty blue book Grin

WhiteAnkleSocks · 19/06/2012 18:30

LookAtHerGo and somethingwitty Envy of your notes and notes-to-be.

I saw GP yesterday, who took my details and told me that the local MW team would be 'in touch at some point over the next couple of weeks' and it could be a couple of weeks from then until the actual appointment

I can't stay away from the baby name board, anyone else completely obsessed with names?
