Hi!

Thought I would start this thread as I found out I was pregnant on Saturday and a few of you were saying you had also found out this weekend!

Do come and share!

blooming the thought of food makes my nausea worse too. I've completely lost my appetite the last couple of days which is a bit strange as a few days back I was constantly starving! I've still got a few internet cheapies left so still testing everyday to check I'm still pg! Will prob carry on too till I run out of tests Smile

bloomingmarvellous · 14/06/2012 23:31

Queen, I'm so glad that I'm not the only neurotic one out there; if you have any ovulation tests you can use those too (according to www.peeonastick.com). In fact the reason I'm unsure of my dates is that I was feeding until 11th may and did a preg test on the 17th which was negitive. From then on I did ovulation tests and got smiley on the 29th. DH banned me from doing a preg test for another two weeks. But on the 8th june I contained myself no longer and and while DH was still snoring I indulged in a test. I wached the dampness spread up the stick and was prepering to squint to find the maybe faint or imaginary line. To my utter shock and suprize I found myself shielding from the glare of the very strong positive! The following day CBD confimed me as 3+! Now I don't know if the smily was for perggers or is it twins! Or maybe I've just got very high HCG. Am i the only one whos morning sickness is strongest at night?

somethingwittynot · 15/06/2012 09:44

Can I join please? I just got my BFP! This will be Dc2 as I have a 5 month old Ds

ShatterResistant · 15/06/2012 12:07

Hello all - may I join too, please? I have NEVER posted on a forum before! I found out yesterday I'm pregnant and we are overjoyed. We'd been trying for a year and we still can't quite believe it. It's our first. I am constantly starving (no change there, then) and I'm just off to the shop to buy more HPTs to check it's still there! (QueenOf, I'm with you - you've made me feel less weird!) Hope to chat to you all often.

somethingwittynot · 15/06/2012 12:25

shatter Im starving to!

LimeLeafLizard · 15/06/2012 13:13

Hello just checking in with everyone's news. Shatter, I'm sure you'll be a posting pro in no time. Its addictive.

GLad to see I am not the only on feeling weepy. I keep nearly bursting into tears at the thought of DS2 starting school in Sept... can't believe his baby days are over. Oooh I'm going to set myself off again just writing it!

LittleMissSnowShine · 15/06/2012 13:14

Welcome newbies!

Blooming - our due dates are roughly the same, im apprx 4+2 today but not feeling sick yet. Had HG in last pregnancy tho and it didnt kick in til about 6 weeks so not feelung smug just yet! Only thing thats made me feel a bit iffy was DH eating thai chicken soup...bleurgh! And I usually like that too!

somethingwittynot · 15/06/2012 13:33

My calculated EDD is 22/02/12 i to had HG but didn't kick into action until 8 weeks am also Hoping for a much smoother pregnancy this time oh and a VBAC!

ShatterResistant · 15/06/2012 13:38

You replied! This is so exciting - makes it feel much more real. (What is HG?)

somethingwittynot · 15/06/2012 13:45

HG is where you can't keep your mouth shut because the sick won't stop coming Grin

Want2bSupermum · 15/06/2012 14:50

Welcome to the newly pregnant!

Last time I found out the hard way that nutmeg/mace doesn't go with pregnancy. I had a small amount on a cup of coffee and I had my head down the loo for the next day. That and licorice. Never again!

LittleMissSnowShine · 15/06/2012 14:55

somethingwitty - HG survivors unite! I have to keep reminding myself that I also felt smug last time when I was around 5 weeks and feeling dandy, just cos I don't have puke coming down my nose this week doesn't mean it's not still all ahead of me. I flippin hope not tho!!!

somethingwittynot · 15/06/2012 15:40

Mine used to come down my nose and out my mouth at the same time!

ShatterResistant · 15/06/2012 16:07

@all of you - why don't people TELL you these things??? Scrap that - I know why they don't tell you...

somethingwittynot · 15/06/2012 17:08

Haha! Anyone one DC welcome to the world of pregnancy

somethingwittynot · 15/06/2012 17:09

*that should of been anyone on DC1

LittleMissSnowShine · 15/06/2012 18:30

Shatter - you'd never believe them even if they did tell you! and sure it's not all bad, all the time (and even if it is u get a baby at the end so it's a good trade!)

LookAtHerGo · 15/06/2012 19:38

I'm another HG survivor, I lost 2 stone through it! Ended the pg last time 1stone lighter than I started. Once I could eat again I hardly put any weight on. This time might be the total opposite. Last time my HG started at 4 weeks. So far I feel normal, it's kind of weird, like I don't believe it. I DO NOT want to be like I was last time, but it's odd feeling OK.

Well I have a slight ear infection. The doc prescribed me a spray. On looking on the NHS website it says no for bf and not really for pg (paraphrasing) I'm both pg and bf! Hmmm. I'm going to leave it a few days and see if it clears up on its own. I do feel a bit better than yesterday which is good. But the ear inf MIT be the cause of my slight dizziness as opposed to the pg. I just don't know.

Glad to see more new ones arriving in the thread :)

LittleMissSnowShine · 15/06/2012 20:09

LookatHer - Feel exactly the same, DON'T want to be sick again, feel a bit anxious that I'm not though Confused Unfortunately for me, while I looked wan and skinny during trimester one, glowing and well during trimester 2 by the end of trimester 3 i suddenly piled a HEAP of weight on even tho i could barely eat cos of the heartburn. not fair!! Here's to us all having easy pregnancies, no sickness, quick labours and healthy babies Wine (or should that be Brew ?!)

WhiteAnkleSocks · 15/06/2012 21:09

Evening all!

Shatter - I am RAVENOUS but am finding that I can't actually get much down - v different to my last pg as I didn't feel like this until the last trimester.

My breasts are so sore, nipples constantly erect. Prob TMI, but does anyone know what to do about it. I am in so much pain, I can't even bear brushing past things by accident / brisk walking!

Have worked out my EDD and I think it's 20th Feb, same as you, blooming. I'm also going to keep doing the HPTs until they run out; I like the reassurance and it feels like ages before I'll even get my booking in appt, so I need somethig to keep me going.

Off to the library tomorrow to stock up on books. I bought loads last time (best one was a Dorling Kindersley Hardback by Dr Lesley someone) but I've lent them all to people and it's too soon to ask for them back, because that will give the game away!

Hope you all have lovely evenings x

WhiteAnkleSocks · 15/06/2012 21:13

LookAtHerGo - Angry that your GP prescribed that without telling you it wasn't advisable during pg or bf. Is there no alternative?

LookAtHerGo · 15/06/2012 21:37

Socks, she said v quickly when I asked that yes it would be fine. I'm not one to just take a yes that's fine so I browsed when I saw the info leaflet, I'll see how it is over the weekend, I know some antibiotics are fine in pg, I had to have some last time, if it gets worse ill go back. Re nipples, padded bra, then they are a little more protected?

Snowshine, I apparently looked glowing throughout. Even though I was so I'll, everyone kept saying how I looked so much better than before! Hmmmm thanks I must have looked a state! We'll share a Wine I only drink it on the Internet, in real life it doesn't agree with me, that and chocolate (unless it's white choc) and cheese! So a wine, cheese and dark choc night would possibly kill me or at least I'd feel like death after it :(

traceofinsanity · 15/06/2012 22:06

Hi all. Been offline for a few days and just enjoying catching up on all the new pregnancies and news :)
Had my doctors appointment yesterday and feels really good to tell someone about the pgy and feel like things are moving along. Got to wait another 3 weeks for my booking in appointment though and really can't wait for the scan!
Freebutton that soft brew drink sounds lovely. Gonna try to get some in Sainso's tomorrow. Last time round I couldn't get enough sparkling water, but I'm currently suffering with a lot of trapped wind Blush so don't want to risk making it worse. I already look 4 months pg!
Little Miss have you thought about hypnobirthing? I did it last time and it really helped me totally relax throughout labour. Take a look at this book: www.amazon.co.uk/Hypnobirthing-Natural-Approach-Comfortable-Birthing/dp/0757302661/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1339793981&sr=1-1

CountryMama · 16/06/2012 07:27

I had a dating scan on Thursday so u got to see my (very) little one. It was really just a blob with a heart beat. They think I'm 7 ish weeks. Good to know everything is ok. However she also found a large cyst on my right oavary (sp?) ... don't know if that's a big deal or not. Have my booking appointment on 27th June.

somethingwittynot · 16/06/2012 08:23

So did another first response test and have a darker line so all is good there!
