Do come and share!

I feel a bit silly going to my GP as I went a few days ago saying my sickness had not started and I was concerned as it started pretty much at conception with my previous pregnancies. Not even a week after and it is really bad. Blush

I finally kept my dinner down until I had a yoghurt and took a spoonful then saw the lid had mold on it when it still had 1week left for the date, so up came my dinner Angry

I found that taking little sips of water has helped me a bit today.

I'm always tired by 9pm I'm usually in bed as I am just so exhausted.

whatsinthebagangelos · 08/06/2012 20:01

That sounds awful poor you Sad

So far I haven't had anything. 6 weeks on Sunday so it could come at any time. Am waiting for it to kick off. Don't feel silly, if you're really struggling you need support. Take care of yourself x

Oh backpack that's awful. I was dreadfully sick with my last pregnancy and so far have only had a tinge of mild nausea when I was hungry, I remember throwing up my breakfast just as I was leaving for work as my cool bag had a mouldy pear in it, probably my laziness that caused it, but I had to leave OH to deal with it while I puked. Do go to the docs. If I get sick again I'll be straight there asking for the good stuff. It didn't help with my sickness but I used to drink boiled water and sugar just so I was getting some sugar when I couldn't eat. Had 36 hours where the only thing I kept down was a sandwich. It's rough I remember it really really well :(

And sirenetta too :(

Well I spent my boots advantage points on getting one of those probably pointless clear blue digital tests (actually a twin pack) am ridiculously being quite unbelieving of it all just yet, and nervous the test will show nothing. Meh, I don't like this first bit.

traceofinsanity · 08/06/2012 21:45

Hi all. Can I join your group please? I found out I'm pregnant last weekend and am so excited! Think I should be due around 8th Feb 2013. We've been trying since Jan and it seems to have taken forever as last time round I got pregnant first month of trying (DD is 2 next month). Have doctors appointment next Friday which seems a bit late but it was the earliest I could get!

whatsinthebagangelos · 08/06/2012 21:59

Welcome trace and congratulations Smile

HI trace and congratulations :)

whatsinthebagangelos · 09/06/2012 14:02

Backpack how are you feeling today?

OP posts:
Sirenetta · 09/06/2012 14:05

Yes, hi Backpack, how are you doing? A friend came over to dinner last night and I miraculously made it through salmon and potatoes and then my DH's choc fondue (he says the grand marnier was all boiled off - not so sure Hmm ). Desperately tired again this morning but not sick. Going off on bike now so we'll see how that goes.

Take care. x

whatsinthebagangelos · 09/06/2012 14:10

Good work Sire netta! Am off out for dinner tonight for my mums birthday. Have had low level nausea today so not sure what my appetite will be like! Well done for making it through the salmon...

Have a good day.

Hi ladies, do you mind if I join you all? After a couple of days of faint lines on internet cheapies I finally took a digital test this afternoon - BFP! Still can't believe it and in shock, DH is still as laid back as ever though but he can't stop smiling, bless him! Baby will be due around 20th Feb.

I will read over the thread to see what you've all been up to so far, looking forward to getting to know you all Smile

noblegiraffe · 09/06/2012 18:26

I had a chicken royale with cheese from burger king today and blamed it on 'cravings' but really just fancied it more than my boring cheese sandwich for lunch. Grin I'm not sure when fancying something turns into cravings as I don't think I had them last time. I do remember eating an awful lot of Haribo Tangfastics though.

Sorry to those of you throwing up, sounds horrible. Hope it passes quickly.

CountryMama · 09/06/2012 22:04

Hi everyone. Hi newbies. So lovely to hear how everyone is. Sorry that some are so sick. A little girl in the park asked me if I was pregnant today!! Apparently my post baby belly from last pregnancy is still there... either that or I'm much more pregnant than i thought!

I passed up on my morning run with the girls this morning I was just so tired. I hate not being able to run (i'm a bit of an addict) I ran till 17 weeks last time but this I will have to give up sooner this time. :( I was hoping to do a half marathon in the autumn but having a baby on board has put that ambition to rest for a couple more years.

Night girls... must try to sleep!

LimeLeafLizard · 09/06/2012 22:07

Grin @ noble, I know exactly what you mean about the fine line between cravings and just wanting an excuse to have what you fancy! I have been eating marmalade on a spoon from the jar -but surely 4+3 is a bit soon to be passing this off as a craving?!

Hello Queen, congratulations!

Sympathy the ones feeling sick, it is so horrid.

LimeLeafLizard · 09/06/2012 22:10

Impressive running, Country! I want to go out for a run tomorrow evening to keep it going for a few more weeks but I think we are in a different league... mine involves a 3 mile pootle round the block noseying at the neighbours gardens!

QueenOfTheDrama · 09/06/2012 22:16

Thanks limeleaf Smile

Glad to see some posts about exercise as I've been wondering about how much to carry on with. I'm not an exercise addict btw, but do like to run, go to gym etc a couple of times a week to keep fit. Will carry on until it gets too much I guess?

LimeLeafLizard · 09/06/2012 22:40

Queen I asked the doctor about exercise last pg - she said it is fine to continue at your current level of fitness, but this is not the time to try some strenuous new class or sport! And obviously, take care, be aware of how you are feeling, and stop if you are unsure. Maybe ask your doc or midwife's opinion when you can?

QueenOfTheDrama · 09/06/2012 23:03

Thanks lime and yes I'll ask the doctor/midwife when I go- will be couple of weeks yet though, going to call doctors on Monday I think to get the ball rolling, will seem more real then won't it eek! Grin

LookAtHerGo · 10/06/2012 09:08

I have lots of runner friends. Some of whom ran till very late in pg. Now I'm not saying its safe for everyone to do this, but on the whole if you are used to running then that's fine, keep your heart rate low and listen to your body. Now is not the time to start a new exercise, so it wouldn't be safe to try taking up running. Also if you've any risks then I'd check first (eg previous bleeds etc) but exercise appropriate to your level of fitness is a good thing Grin but like I said check if you are at risk.

Did the CBD this morning Grin "pregnant 2-3" which is what I was expecting, but totally goes against my LMP so I'm going to have a prob with trying to say to docs I'm about 2 weeks less than my LMP would suggest, or at least that's what I think.

But seeing the word pregnant was lovely.

I'm pregnant GrinGrinGrin

whatsinthebagangelos · 10/06/2012 09:24

Morning all Smile

I made it through dinner with family last night but felt massively nauseous during the main course. Not good!

Am feeling ever so slightly concerned though. Since I found out I have very mild little cramps and stretching feelings most days which is fine, however yesterday and today it has felt more like period pains although still very mild and not really painful just more noticeable.

This is my first so i don't really know what is normal! My instinct is telling me not to worry but was wondering what you ladies think? I'm 6 weeks today.

Thanks x

OP posts:
noblegiraffe · 10/06/2012 09:46

lookathergo the digital tests say how many weeks it has been since conception. Your pregnancy however is dated from your last period so you count a couple of weeks as being pregnant even though it was before you actually conceived!

QueenOfTheDrama · 10/06/2012 10:10

whatsin I think its normal to have mild af type pains, its just everything stretching out inside in preparation Smile Ask your midwife about it if you're worried though, I'm sure she'll be able to reassure you.

BackPackBackPack · 10/06/2012 10:22

Morning.

whatsin I keep getting the same type of pains. I had them with DD but they were much worse (I got rushed to hospital loads of times with them). If you are concerned go to your Midwife or Dr.

freerangelady · 10/06/2012 10:24

Hi gusy, good to see a few new faces; welcome!

whatsin I get sort of period type pains too - if I hadn't seen the word Pregnant on the Clearblue test I'd be thinking AF was on her way any moment.

And just beacause I have a milliion ic's I did one this morning - strongest pinkest line you've ever seen :)

Well, I was all smug thinking I've been feeling great but for the last 3 mornings I've been feeling really quesy (sp?!) Like a really bad hangover kind of sick. And I've been so tired it's untrue. Yesterday, I went to bed at 5pm and slept for 13 hours Shock surely that's not normal. All I've done today is make stew for tea and I tell you, i feel like I could sleep for another 13 hours. But heigh ho, have a spare bedroom to paint that I was meant to do yesterday but didn't!

QueenOfTheDrama · 10/06/2012 11:04

freerange I'm knackered too, been struggling to stay awake at work after a good 9 hour sleep the night before. But even though I'm knackered I've been struggling to fall asleep when I go to bed. Not sure why!

LookAtHerGo · 10/06/2012 11:29

Yeah noble thanks, the thing is my LMP puts me over 6 weeks, whereas I think I'm 4 -5 weeks, I have a long cycle. The CBD puts me where I think if that makes sense Grin
