Thought I'd get the ball rolling as I know there have been some BFPs in the last few days on here.....

Just got a confirmatory BFP on a clear blue. This will be DC2, DC1 will be two in two weeks!

So grab a seat, buckle up and enjoy the vino soft drinks on offer.

Ps is it really bad that I am craving a jug of Pimm's?!

My boobs are so sore and heavy! I feel engorged! Anyone else suffering in this respect?

Finding it difficult not to tell my nearest & dearest esp as there are 2 new babies about our group of family/friends. But DH wants to hold off for a week or so, at least till I've seen the doctor and had it confirmed officially.

MrsRT · 16/06/2012 23:51

D30 So sorry to hear that, all the very best for the future x

Sonics · 17/06/2012 06:51

(this is Jno18 with a new name!)

So sorry to hear that DC30. Sending hugs.

So I am awake stupidly erly again. I hope this isn't going to be a pattern. Told our parents yesterday & got exactly the reaction we were hopin for. Tears & screams & lots of excitement.

I think I had my 1st hormonal overreaction last night. DH said he might not be able to get the full two weeks off for paternity leave. There were tears! Started really worrying about it & got really wound up.

Wore my skinny jeans to dinner last nightb& couldn't wait to get home & take them off. Don't think they're going to last me much longer. Plus my boobs are starting to get really sore.

How is every one else? Any new symptoms?

somethingwittynot · 17/06/2012 07:18

Nausea has kicked in already! No actualy sick though. Didn't have that till 8weeks with DS I know you experiance things earlier in a second pregnancy but that I could do without! My boobs are engorged to! Already out of the maternity bras I had for DS so lucky me gets bras on pay day!

Pinkie29 · 17/06/2012 07:52

sonics I wake at 5am every day!

NicJayne · 17/06/2012 08:30

Hi all! Such an exciting thread! I'm officially moving over from the conception thread as got my BFP on Thursday last week. Not yet been to the docs to confirm but tried 2 sticks and my period hasn't arrived. Mumsnet calculator puts me at 21 Feb! I'm just so excited and hope that nothing goes wrong. Not told anyone yet but might tell my mum next weekend? Do you guys tell anyone at all or will you wait til 12 weeks?

xx

hugglebug · 17/06/2012 08:45

Hi all. It would appear (as of this morning) that I too need to hop on board. By my very rough calculations DC2 is due mid Feb. Absolutely brickin' it.

carries · 17/06/2012 08:47

NicJayne - first 2 pregnancies told nearly everyone by 8 weeks. But this time cos my Dd are 5 & 8 only telling parents by week 8, everyone else when I've had a scan. Don't want the girls to find out by accident or for their hopes to be dashed. Also 6 months is long enough to wait for a baby sister/brother. Congratulations BTW!

Bunny222 · 17/06/2012 09:07

Hi there ladies, can I join? I think my date will be late Jan/ early feb. Its our first time, and a surprise as we didn't think I was ovulating. Had some bleeding at approx 6wks, but a scan showed all to be ok. Have a 2nd '8wk' scan on Tuesday, am scared and excited.

carries totally with you on the sore boobs, they've been aching now for five wks and have even woken me at night.
Have started getting a bit sicky and worried work will suss b4 I'm ready to tell...

Pinkie29 · 17/06/2012 09:16

nicjayne welcome! We've only told parents and siblings, I had to tell one of my managers at work but she'll keep it confidential till I'm ready to reveal, sounds awful but I'm not even telling friends till I've had my scan just want to make sure all is ok first, the not drinking excuse (antibiotics) is wearing thin tho!

MrsM80 · 17/06/2012 09:20

Hi to nicjayne hugglebug and bunny and congratulations!

We haven't told anyone yet. We're planning on telling both sets of parents on 7 July which is about 8 weeks and everyone else after first scan. We've known for a week now and it just doesn't seem real still. Especially as I've got no symptoms!

We had friends over for dinner last night. It was arranged a while ago and I was sure it was going to be obvious as soon as I didn't have any wine. But I just had to say I was on antibiotics ( which I was a week ago anyway) so conveniently left the packet from last week in the kitchen! They didn't say anything but DH is convinced they did buy the antibiotics thing!

Trying not to arrange too much more where I would usually drink until we are able to tell people!

BeanDunne · 17/06/2012 09:27

Welcome nicjayneand hugglebug congrats :) im telling people that 'need to know' well at least iv convinced myself they do ha ha. basically im rubbish and cant keep a secret. i told myself last night not to tell anyone else but i just dont know if ill be able to, im just too excited.

My boobs are also getting bigger by the minute and soooo sore. dp hugged me this morning and i could have cried it hurt so much.

mrsfleur · 17/06/2012 09:48

carries sore boobs (plus the odd twinge) is the only symptom I have but crikey do they hurt! But as long as they hurt it means I'm still pregnant so I'm glad really. Well maybe glad is the wrong word... relieved!

mrsfleur · 17/06/2012 09:49

Welcome to all new mums-to-be! I can't keep up with us all :D xxx

FlyingSubmarine · 17/06/2012 09:52

Hello all - just catching up with the thread this morning.

D30 I am so sorry for your loss - take good care of yourself.

somethingwittynot · 17/06/2012 10:06

Anyone doing something special for fathers day if you already have DC? Or something special for the father to be?

NicJayne · 17/06/2012 10:19

Thank you all for your thoughts and advice! I'm just a little nervous in case something goes wrong.

Think I'll tell my friend at work - I'll have someone to squeal with and hopefully if morning sickness grabs me she can cover for me!

Pinkie think we've moved from the 'no google, no symptom spotting...' thread at the same time!

Pinkie29 · 17/06/2012 10:52

Haha yep knew I'd seen you on another thread! Oddly last 2ww was the only one I didn't symptom spot because know its impossible and tadaa Grin what's your edd? Mine is valentines day!

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 17/06/2012 10:52

Welcome and congratulations all new comers!
My boobs are so painful at night every time I roll over its terrible pain, more in left than right at mo. am finding I wake up sleeping on my back which is so unlike me, but the only comfortable position. Think they're having another growth spurt so of bra shopping tomorrow - will be dragging DH along so may sneak a peak at some baby things to see what he likes (so I can obsessively google for best prices until 12 weeks!) Grin

NicJayne · 17/06/2012 11:02

My edd is exactly one week after you pinkie. How lovely to be due valentines day!

Looking forward to sharing this with you all!

QueenOfTheDrama · 17/06/2012 11:07

Morning all, welcome & congrats to all the new ladies Smile

something I got my DH a card this morning, he was so cute reading it Smile Got lunch at my parents in a little bit too.

slightly I did some shopping yesterday, had a browse in mothercare and signed up to the baby&me club and got some vouchers for shopping when I'm further on. Was dying to buy a few bits but managed to resist, was hard though!

I've been waking up early every morning too, mainly because I need a wee! Had to get up at 3am for a wee too. Think its the baby getting some practice in for getting me up for night feeds Grin Also sore boobs, seem to be getting worse by the day! But like mrsfleur said, I'm relieved too as it must mean the hormones are getting stronger which is a good sign.

eggandbean · 17/06/2012 11:15

D30 - I know you've probably signed off not to come back here but if you do read this then I am so so sorry to hear that. Sending loads of love your way and wish you all the best for the future xxx

Congratulations and welcome to the new people :)

LittleMiss - thanks for sharing that, I have to admit I didn't even know what HG was but I do now! Sounds awful, sorry you had to go through that but it's good your mw reassured you. Still don't like that I have this blotchyness at 5 weeks but it's only 9 days until I see mw for 1st appointment so I guess I'll just add it to my growing list of questions and try not to worry about it for now.

Sonics - what a lovely reaction to get from the parents! I have no idea how ours will be. DH's already have grandchildren so potentially not quite such a big deal but I think mine will go crazy with excitement, I hope so anyway!!

I went to a wedding last night and ended up spilling to one of my best friends, she didn't buy the antibiotics excuse and asked me outright and I couldn't stop myself from grinning - nooo! Such a terrible liar. I also wore control pants as so paranoid that I might be showing already and it was the most amazing feeling getting them off at the end of the night I tell you, phew!

BabylannShallFall · 17/06/2012 11:21

I went and bought bump bands yesterday, they don't feel like much support yet, they
Still feel much too big, maybe I should have bought small to medium first until I was a bit bigger. Oh well, at least I've got them now and if it helps with SPD then I can't complain!

QueenOfTheDrama · 17/06/2012 11:29

egg I went out on Friday and wore my skinny jeans - defo relief to get them off at end of night!

Where did you get your bump bands babylann? Did you get the topshop ones as recommended earlier in the thread?
