Thought I'd get the ball rolling as I know there have been some BFPs in the last few days on here.....

Just got a confirmatory BFP on a clear blue. This will be DC2, DC1 will be two in two weeks!

So grab a seat, buckle up and enjoy the vino soft drinks on offer.

Ps is it really bad that I am craving a jug of Pimm's?!

morecoffee and others with sleep issues - i've been waking in the early hours too. DH leaves for work v early in the morning and I woke as he left today and couldn't get back to sleep. Am going to be zzzz this afternoon, but thankfully I don't work so I can grab half hour on the sofa.

Thanks queenrollo, think I will try giving the community midwives a ring and ask their advice. I'm thinking of changing gp because it's so difficult to get an appointment. I even phoned them when my DD had a strange rash thinking under those circumstances they would fit her in, but ended up having to take her to the walk in centre. Plus I really don't want the same mw as last time. Had a hard time with DD lack of weight gain so really came to associate the mw with bearing bad news and sending us back to hospital on more than one occasion so think a clean slate would be nice.

Forgot to add, looked on NHS choices about hayfever meds and pg and it listed a few for anyone else who's suffering too.

Hello ladies, have added myself to the list and am joining the group. Has taken two and a half years, after investigations and surgery for me to get pregnant. Second DC for me but first for my DH so it's all very exciting.

littlemisssnowshine you said you wanted to organise the list by due date. When I was on a thread when pg with DS that's what we did, so if you feel so inclined go ahead. I would do it but if you'd actually enjoy doing it then I won't deprive you of the pleasure. It's quite nice when it's done as people can then see much more easily who their due date buddies are. It does mean having to keep on top of things for a while as new people come to the thread but it worked ok last time with a few of us checking in every day and sorting it.

lois have you accessed a midwife yet? If you really can't get hold of a GP for an appt then you could phone the midwives at your hospital to ask for advice on what to take, or even go and see a pharmacist and ask for advice as they often know much better what is contr-indicated in pregnancy.

Right i'm going to have a browse back through some of this thread to see what you have been talking about.

Been up since 5am suffering with hayfever :( Have a horrible itchy throat. Anyone heard of anything you can do/take to help in pg? Not sure if I'll be able to get to the gp as it's almost impossible to get an appointment these days.

On iPhone, so can someone add me to the list. Wow, so much has happened on here since I last posted. Relieved to hear that other people have been freezing cold and thirsty - I had started to worry that I was getting gestational diabetes. Have my Midwife's appointment next Tuesday and keep meaning to fill in the Massive form, but then I fall asleep!

Have been discussing how this is going to work out with my boyfriend - we currently don't live or work in the same place. Think that I will need to sell my house and move to London and that he will need to get a new job in London, as that's where I currently work and he lives. It seems like a lot to sort out in the next 7 or so months. It's Scary but exciting too. In a way I'm itching to get things sorted out, but am waiting for the 12 week mark before getting started. Is anyone else's life going to change dramatically as a result of pregnancy?

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 19/06/2012 23:40

I really want to rearrange the list so everyone's details are on a single line, but you will all think I'm bonkers. would do it in excel if I could so i could do some graphs too of due dates and locations Blush

Apart from that am doing ok! No symptoms apart from hunger... Midwife appt next Thursday. Remind me, do you have to provide a urine specimen and take it with you or can you give one there? Always used to forget to take one for my appointments last time.....

Hi there,

A new joiner here, I found out on Sunday that I am pregnant with our second (DD is just over 2). We had been trying for over a year so it was a lovely fathers day present for DH!

My due date is Feb 28 (so only just making it into Feb!).

At the moment it still doesn't feel real - I've done 4 pregnancy tests since Sunday morning so pretty sure it is though - and I do feel a bit 'odd'!

I'll add myself properly to the list tomorrow (on my iPhone now), but I live in East London, have a DD (2 years) and am due on 28 Feb.

Really pleased to be joining you all

littlemiss I was going to say the same thing! if no one else has re-arranged the list according to due date by tomorrow OCD-style then I may be tempted to do it myself! Not right now though as my bed and book are calling! When I'm not reading pregnancy stuff I'm just starting Fifty Shades Of Grey - has anyone read it and if so what do you think? I hear its quite rude! trying to stop myself from skipping to the parts containing filth Grin

Ahh, I'm not far from Brislington too! I had an early scan as unfortunately had a bleed last week but we got to see the little prawn and his heartbeat, it was such a relief! I think RUH will be your best bet too, imagine going into labor at 5pm on a Friday afternoon, you'd have the baby by the time you got to Southmead, ha!

Lois - I'm almost OCD enough to want to organise our list according to due date but i won't restraining myself

Sonic - Yes, I'm worried i'll be all paranoid about being twisty! But my zumba instructor kept taking zumba classes 4 times a week until she was 8 months preg so I keep telling myself if I'm pretty sensible about it I'm sure I should be able to keep it up during first trimester anyway. But might end up swimming too - I'm going to chance taking DS to the pool on my own on Friday. He's a bit of a handful outside of the house at the min, v prone to squealing tantrums and running away, but he has the odd good day so fx Fri is one of them!

MrsRT and crazysexycool I think my options are Weston or St Michaels or poss Southmead. Weston is a midwife unit so no epidurals and if anything goes wrong they blue light you into Bristol. As a hospital it has a shockingly bad reputation though have heard good thing about care post-birth. Have heard positive things about St Michaels & Southmead and think Southmead also has a midwife led unit but ability to transfer you quickly to the hospital if needs be which sounds like a good option.

MW appt tomorrow-excited! Going to ask about med for the nausea as at the moment I feel sick through most of the day and don't feel like eating much at all! (although did scoff a macdonalds on the way to work-not sure if it was a proper craving or just low blood sugar craving!) Not sure if I'll get anything though as (thankfully) haven't actually vommed yet!

Quick question-when do you need to let work know when and how long your maternity leave will be? We're saving like mad at the moment so it'll depend on how much money we have in the bank but work have already asked me if I have any idea yet?! Felt I had to tell work as do nights with just one other person and can't do some of the stuff I'd normally do-is strange they know before most of my mates
